I really enjoy the visual effects of storm blast, and while its T9 is no nuke I have found it to be quite useful.

Altoholic sounds so negative, like it's a sickness. Why not altophile? Or alt mastery? How about professional altist?

Same. Disappearing shields when not in use are so immersion-breaking.
-
Just recolor and pretend.

Oh sure, play a peacebringer... where you have no choice in the secondary set. Fail. Stop trying to "help" with lame suggestions, because they aren't helpful. You aren't helpful.

I love how the use of real world laws about counterfeiting stuff gets turned to excuse not adding content for player use. Oh noes, a unique NPC's item might have lookalikes out there. There must be a law. Unless you're telling me that heroes and villains are running to the patent office and/or getting their equipment's appearance trademarked, this is a laughable excuse. And even still, half of this game is centered on people playing as CRIMINALS who regularly break and even flaunt the laws of the land because they can. Like, "I will challenge Longbow and the Freedom Phalanx themselves, but I better not have a copy of this unique looking artifact because that would be against the law." NPCs having unique items can be represented in theirs granting special abilities that copies won't have. The Ghost Slaying Axe is a good example of this. The original developers on Live never wanted to proliferate its model to the Battle Axe power set because they wanted the prestige power to remain special. It always would have been special because it causes an additional damage effect against undead that copies in Battle Axe power set, and the fact that it was finally added here on HC proves it. No one laments that their prestige power Ghost Slaying Axe isn't special anymore because people can use the model.

I guess people can just recolor ice blast and pretend it's time.

Light is radiation, and radiation is... more than light. Also, the radiation effects look horrible as "imagine it's light." My problem isn't really the set, it's people dismissing requests by telling them to just use their imagination. It isn't your job to tell people what they should ask for or to manage disappointment and pretend something else is what they want. You want that job? Get on the development team and then tell people what they can't have and how they can half-ass workaround to what they want. In the meantime, you imagine what you want. Be supportive or leave it alone. No one needs anyone's "recolor & pretend its what you want" nonsense.

Personally, I think light should be a mix of energy damage with a -ToHit Debuff for blinding foes and possibly a power or two that deals -Def or -Resist for the heat of a concentrated laser attack and no Knockback/Knockdown because light isn't solid... so for me, recoloring Energy Blast just doesn't cut it. Might as well recolor any blast set and say "Yeah, that's light." And I say no thanks. If only SOME ideas are worth considering, then none are worth considering. If SOME are told "just power customize and imagine it's what you want" then EVERYONE should settle for that instead of asking for anything. And anyone that gives that copout answer should not be allowed to even ask for anything.

For fun, her secret identity is April Maye.

And now for something a little more... natural. Flowers and Showers Storm Blast / Nature Affinity Corruptor

I was kind of hoping to avoid the Greco-Roman stuff also. Also, most likely red... or kind of purple. A true rogue, playing both sides and being in it completely for herself.

Trying to put together a character concept and need a little help with the backstory. I want to make a broadsword/willpower scrapper whose power comes from being blessed by a deity that lets her steal power and luck from enemies and use it for herself. Powerwise, this will be represented in individual powers like Parry, Rise to the Challenge, and Heightened Senses. Where I'm getting hung up is looking for a proper patron to grant such power. Any suggestions for a mythological figure that would fit the bill?

Ms. Meteorology has also been cut loose and is ready for your stormy needs.

Nanna Nannabooboo is also free, whether you want to use it to make someone's taunting grandma or whatever else.

Got a hankering to make a tiny mastermind? Micromanager is just what you need, and it's now available.

That's fine. You lost me, too.

Then I stand by what I said about all changes being unnecessary, and no one should ask for anything... and the devs should stop adding stuff. Let everyone use what we have as is and just pretend the things we want different. And I definitely don't want to see anyone who puts forth this attitude asking for anything. Not one single thing. You don't deserve to even ask.
-
I see your thumbs down and return it in kind.

That's a pretty dismissive answer. Almost every change that's added to the game could have been solved by telling the players to ignore what's presented and just pretend its something else. Power customization? Just pretend your powers are different colors. Weapon customization? Just pretend you're using a different weapon. Alternate animations? Just pretend your character is doing something different, or come up with a your own explanation for why your character moves a certain way. New enemies? Nah, just keep fighting the same recycled content and pretend they're something new. New powersets? Just pretend the old ones are something different. Why expend ANY effort on adding anything new when you could just put it responsibility on the player to make the effort to pretend stuff is different?
-
If I have to expend effort to put someone on ignore, I am not going to spend additional effort to unignore them. If there was a temporary ignore feature, that wouldn't stress my brain about remembering who comes off the list.

Middle of the week and I hadn't made a new stormy. That's a lie, I just made a storm/dark corruptor. Okay, so there's no excuse for this: Thongbow Storm Blast / Temporal Manipulation Blaster
