Character is a former model and celebrity who due to some negative press, fled to the Isles to remake her image as a villainess.  Underwent strength augmentation (ss or sj/invuln).  Hope that's enough to work with.

Snagged Downplay for silly concept toon but not attached to it, in case anyone has a love for the name.

Took it back!

 

This is great name though, equally good for a character with a lot of knockdown skills or deprecating RP style.

I'm not mentioning this to dwell on ALL the meanings of the name but Gag Reflex seemed to be available. I say "seemed" because nothing came up on a getglobalname search but it is possible I typo'd (it was during a fight) or that the person has it as a character name and a global name. I didn't check it in the actual character creator.

I almost took it for a poison spitting clown character since it worked on two levels but I found something I liked better. It could be a good pun name if used for a jokey or gross character.

Just tried to rename a character Gag Reflex and it gets borked by the built-in name screener thing as being not appropriate.

Edit: I imagine it's doable for someone who really wants it to use the upper case i in place of the lower case L

Ah. My guess is someone at some point named a character that and something in the appearance / bio made it obvious that it was because of more, um, adult reasons and someone petitioned so they banned it. Or the ban goes back to back in the day and it was just on the list already.
