Ok this pain in the ass changing from anything into human form with no shields up frankly sucks ass.

Is there a macro to change into human form and activate shields? At least Gravity Shield and Shadow Cloak, popping into human from Dwarf to hasten and Stygian Circle equal face plant in a mob.

You can create a macro or bind to toggle on several powers with a single key, but you will need to slap that key as many times as there are powers to toggle on, as there is no means to activate more than one power at a time. As an example, paste this in your chat window:

/macro Shields powexectoggleon gravity shield$$powexectoggleon shadow cloak

And you'll have a new button. Click or hit its shortcut once for cloak, and again for shield. You can probably fit 5 different powers in there before the character limit kicks in, maybe more. You could add Sprint to it as well. Just know that trying to use any toggles in combat, while also using any of the Warshade forms, is usually an exercise in frustration and futility.

Is your shade below level 38?

You won't find a elegant way of doing it. In the End Game Perma-Eclipse/Lightform help with all the switching. I'm still hoping HC will look into changing the penalty for switching forms.

Are you IO'd out and Perma-Clipse?

In that case, let's go over some priorities. First, Eclipse should be perma, with a few seconds overlap if you can, as well as its resists enhanced so that it takes fewer mobs hit to cap your resists. That skill is more important to keep on cooldown than any shield toggle. Second, you need to give yourself time to recast Eclipse and Hasten before they fall off, so you aren't stuck in the time wasting few seconds between toggling a form off and firing off a human-only skill. Pay close attention to their cooldowns.

I think its time to consider playing a Sentinel.

Energy/Bio.  You can suppress most of Bio armors stuff, you still have color tintable Glowing Arms and that seaweed +absorb thing pops up for a few seconds but your costume will be pretty much intact.

If you are dying in dwarf form, you either need to pop some insps or accept it.  the whole "balance" aspect of you just popping out to fully heal with a few bodies is staggering.  Also, are you not using Eclipse?  Eclipse is permaable as well as Light Form

So as soon as I'm coming out of dwarf, I should be immediately hitting Eclipse? Which is perma btw.

You should come out of Dwarf and activate Eclipse prior to it ending. I play Tri-Form so rarely do I stay in Dwarf other than the Mires and Mez-Snap out. Eclipse carries over into the forms now so it really removed the largest benefit of Dwarf the added RES.

If you’re in the middle of a mob with aggro and can’t refresh Eclipse before it drops, then you have several options.

1. Get out of the mob (port, jump), drop form, Gravitic the mob, then resfresh Eclipse while a goodly chunk of the mob is stunned.
2. Drop form, immediately Stygian Circle, then refresh Eclipse. Hopefully the heal will mitigate the beating you will take and give you the tiny window needed to get Eclipse off.

3. Stay in dwarf until the mob is dead, or at least sufficiently diminished that you know you can survive if you drop form to do what you need to do.

4. Die. Ha, right? No, seriously. You did take Stygian Return, didn’t you? Drop form, die, Stygian Return, then refresh Eclipse and do whatever else you’d like during the glorious 10 seconds of immunity it gives you.

But to answer your question directly, you can combine toggling off forms with toggling on whatever powers you want (up to he character limit), but as others have said you’ll have to hit the button for each activation. It’s basically

powexectoggleoff dark nova$$powexectoggleoff black dwarf$$powexectoggleon [whichever toggle powers you want] [include tray swapping command if applicable]

That will drop form (and swap trays) on the first press, and activate one power with each subsequent press. You could also combine form dropping with Eclipse activation in a macro so that you could drop and refresh very rapidly.

What they REALLY need to do is fix Kheldians and let the powers/shields be able to be used while IN the forms too. On top of giving the shields mez protections too for any form, and not having to separately slot the form powers, and just use those from the human slotting in the forms. The forms should be a bonus with the stats/buffs, but not power dependent, and shouldn't cost a power pick too really, but be AVAILABLE at those same levels much like how MM pets are available at certain levels.

My search fu is weak.

But there was along thread about creating macro where you toggle a power on the press of a key and second power activates on its release.

....

@JasperStone you can use the movement commands to cause this, like /bind r "+down$$powexectoggleon Ninja Run$$powexectoggleon Sprint". You have to hold down r a little bit; if you just tap r only one will turn on. The +down doesn't do anything unless you're flying, in which case it moves you down. You can also use +up, +forward or +back. They just turn the action into "move this direction until the key is released." This works with toggleon commands, not with execname.

Or Dwarf form could be changed so that its mez protection lasts a few seconds after dropping from it so that you're not stuck in a permaheld state that all other melee archetypes avoid with ease.

Warshades would be insane with a short duration MezPro after dropping Dwarf...

Main advantage that PB's have - Perma-LF = Mez Pro (-Fear... freaking Tsoo).

Death is the best debuff.

PBs also have significantly better single target dps capabilities, +hp, the ability to max their resistance without any enemies around, and nearly the aoe capabilities that shades do. A little mez protection wouldn't bridge that gap, honestly. Ideal solution to me though is still toggle suppression with a little mez protection from the human shields to make them worthwhile again.
