Replace the Snake Missions Redside

One reason I hate red side is the great wall of horrible cave-based snake missions that I'm confronted with every time I get into the game.

I think that if these were replaced with something less ... er ... mythological, I'd be more inclined to stick around. I'm not sure tho... maybe some testing is required?

You aren't required to do the snake missions.  Much like Blue Side got Matthew Habashy, Red Side got a series of arcs that has you taking back Mercy from longbow.  I don't remember the name of the first contact, but you should see him through the Find Contact button, or he may even be just given to you if you skip the tutorial.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

This thread is funny to me given a recent thread saying to bring back the Snakes because they are nowhere. (They aren't nowhere, just harder to find.) As far as missions go? Mongoose is the only low-level contact that focuses on the Snakes. Burke has 1 mission where he sends you after the Snakes. Kalinda has 1 or 2. The Arachnos agent past the Arbiter where you first spawn has 0. As does all his follow-up contacts.

I immediately thought the same thing.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.

I was going to comment on this.  The most annoying mission in that level range for me is the one from Mongoose that has me hunting snakes outdoors.  They're hard to find.  I have a circuit I run, I know a spot or two where occasionally one or more might spawn, so I run back and forth hoping, and eventually get it done, but yeah we could use another spawn point or two.

4 of 6 of Kalinda's missions are just snakes.  2 of 6 of Burke's missions (but 2 of 3 if you just do his arc) are full of snakes, one of which is a defeat-all on a good-sized map.

Yeah this.  There's enough new content that you can easily level to 5 using it without ever seeing a single snake.  From there you can move to Port Oakes if you want.

Just beat the snakes dude.  Then you only see them again at 50.  It is like 5-30 missions depending on how much you hate yourself.  Kill the damn snakes.  Move on.  Or just do the Longbow missions.  Okay, probably tough to dodge Snake missions on Mercy.  Just kill the damn snakes m'kay.

My mistake. Thanks for the correction.

West side of the island, on the roofs, particularly the south warehouse complex (the building west of the triangle arena there); you can find a dozen or more snakes sleeping on the roofs in twos and threes.
