Snarky Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 The effects of exemplaring down to level 9 (doing Ouro stuff) is not addressed in the Wiki. Does anyone know? This is everything Wiki says that might be relevant. Overview Winter Origin (WO) Enhancements are all-unique and attuned enhancements. There are four damage sets and a hold set, for a total of five sets. Standard winter enhancements grant set bonuses that are roughly equivalent to rare enhancement sets, while superior winter enhancements grant set bonuses that are roughly equivalent to very rare enhancement sets. Each standard enhancement has a level 10 minimum requirement, but as an attuned enhancement, the enhancement portion will increase as the character's level increases. The enhancement portion is affected by exemplar as normal. Set bonuses for standard enhancements will operate down to level 7. Superior Enhancements Enhancement catalysts can be applied to the standard enhancements to boost them to "Superior" versions with higher enhancement values and bigger set bonuses. However, catalyzing a winter enhancement will also increase the minimum level requirement to 50, similar to very rare (purple) enhancements. To catalyze a whole standard set into a superior set, a player must have six enhancement catalysts, as each piece must be catalyzed separately.
Yomo Kimyata Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I'm quite sure they work the same as non-superior. Try it and report back! Who run Bartertown?
srmalloy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 The level minimum is the minimum level to slot the enhancements. Regular winter sets can be slotted at 10; Superior sets can only be slotted at 50 (or catalyzed at that level to become Superior). The enhancement bonuses scale down to level 1, but regular winter sets only grant set bonuses down to 10 (the minimum you can slot them); Superior winter sets grant their set bonuses all the way to 1, like purple sets.

AboveTheChemist Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 (edited) I just ran some quick tests on Brainstorm, using the Join Ouroboros arc (second mission) to scale down to level 1. I slotted 3 Avalanche and 3 Superior Avalanche into one power. The 2-piece and 3-piece set bonuses for both the normal and superior sets were active at level 1. The enhancement bonuses granted by each individual piece scaled down to level 1 as expected. To see if the effects on Archetype Origin enhancements were the same, I slotted 2 Ascendancy of the Dominator (AotD) and 2 Superior AotD into one power. As above, the 2-piece set bonus for each set was active at level 1, and the individual enhancement bonuses were scaled down to level 1. I was busy building the crazy little monster in MiDs assuming this was true. Nice to know for a fact. at 9 powers up to 14 will work. Set bonus from "normal" level 10 sets will work. Globals (attuned, if the go down to 10) work in powers shut off. as do set bonuses in powers shut off....so i slapped two purple sets and a Sup Winter in greyed out powers for some bonuses. This will be my 2nd build and then after I have done ALL level 9 Ouro badges will rebuild for level 14. Here is what the little monster looks like: (ignore the random 1 pieces here and there in the greyed out stuff, was looking at options) This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.4.7https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! Major_Decoy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Well, checking it, both Superior and Standard are providing set bonuses at level 7. I have Superior Might of the Tanker, and Standard Gauntleted Fist, Superior Blistering Cold and Standard Avalanche. All four sets are currently showing bonuses, despite not being able to slot the standards yet. I was not expecting that. I do expect the Superiors to provide bonuses when exemplared to 1. 1
Major_Decoy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Okay, exemplared to level 1, and I still seem to be getting the standard set bonus? 1 1
Major_Decoy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Yeah, I've got 10% slow resist from Avalanche and 15% from Superior Blistering Cold. I have +5.25% Gargantuan Lethal, Smashing and Mez Resistance from Gauntleted Fist and +6% Ultimate Lethal, Smashing and Mez Resistance from Might of the Tanker. 1
Snarky Posted May 1, 2023 Author Posted May 1, 2023 Thanks for all the research folks. I've spent the last chunk of time doing the MiDs, respeccing the 2nd build, buying the crap from the AH, and slotting catalyzing etc. And doing my normal studies on the side. So definitely appreciate the boots on the ground data!

Snarky Posted May 1, 2023 Author Posted May 1, 2023 That was the sentence on the Wiki I was looking for Uun! Thanks. The Set Bonuses of Purple (Very Rare) sets, PvP sets, Archetype Origin sets, and Winter Origin sets are immune to the effects of exemplaring. However, the aspects of the power that they buff (e.g., Accuracy or Damage) are affected by exemplaring just like any other enhancement. 1

To be fair, I added the bolded part to the wiki yesterday after I did the testing on Brainstorm. If you had looked at that page prior to my edit, it would have just mentioned purples and PvPs. I also edited the Winter and Archetype origin pages to denote that the set bonuses are available down to level 1 (those pages previously said level 7). 2 2 Popmenus > Badge List | Optimal Paths | Conversion Possibilities | Emotes Wiki Pages > Costume Color Schemes | Set Bonus Comparison Tables Maps > Vidiotmaps | Optimal Paths | Halloween GM Maps | Winter Gift Maps | Offline Map Viewer Sounds > Banshee Sonic Attack Datasets > Recipe Salvage Components | Badge Name & Settitle ID | Exploration Badge & History Plaque Coordinates
