Noticed on the Homecoming Wiki history badge that the Swashbuckler location isn't accurate for the Port Oakes location, it says /thumbtack -3113 207 -1550 , which will lead to the Abandoned Labs.

When it should be [-3113.4 211.4 -1550.3]

Unsure how to edit the wiki page, any help would be appreciated! Very into badge hunting and I know this Wiki is a lot of help for badge hunters!

Sorry if this isn't the correct place for discussion!

There's a known issue with some badge locations - I think Vidiotmaps does the same - they point to incorrect locations

That's not a problem with the location.  If you thumbtack the location, it does put it at the right spot on the map.  Not sure why the waypoint goes elsewhere.

testing it out, if I back away from the plaque a little, the waypoint at least gets you to the right area

/thumbtack -3102 207 -1546

I'll add a note to the wiki about it

This dates back to a live-era bug with the beacons in Port Oakes, which also occurs in Mercy Island. This bug has been reported many times on the forums, including this thread and mutiple others that I don't feel the need to dig up at the moment. Here's the explanation of the issue that Faultline posted on the beta tester discord:

the reason this happens is because the waypoint that shows on the screen uses navigation beacons in order to direct you to places, and those connect through doors. Inside missions the navigation is usually very straightforward and there's only one path to objectives even with doors, but in open world the pathfinding may decide that going in and out of a door is shorter than walking past it.

Which leaves you stuck on a loop of doors in-and-out of some buildings.
The thumbtack image in the map, on the other hand, doesn't need to do any pathfinding; it just finds the final X and Y coordinates and drops itself there.
I don't know why the ones in Mercy and Oakes are way more likely to trigger than, say, a marker inside Atlas' City Hall.

The wiki location is correct, as is the vidiotmaps location. I know as I spent a lot of time checking them.

If you have evidence that a vidiotmap location is in error, please let me know. I've checked most if not all of them and I don't know of any that are in error by more than a few pixels.

Something I noticed when the winterized Atlas Park was up during the holidays is that the badge location markers were missing on the map. I usually have a set circuit I travel so I rarely look at the Atlas map anymore, but when I realized I didn't have LTP on one of my characters I had parked in The Hollows went back to Atlas and no exploration and I think plaque markers. We were going after Frostfire so I forgot about it at the time. 🫤

Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx?

Check out Michiyo's modder or Solerverse's thread.  Got a punny character? You should share it.

You probably just need to update your vidiotmap install. About a year ago they created seasonal variants of the AP map textures, and shortly thereafter I updated vidiotmaps to account for the new textures. Without the update, you'll only see the badge markers in AP during the time between the winter event and the Halloween event (roughly Jan-Oct).

Unless you were using my winter events gift map mod, in which case those intentionally only show the gift locations, and none of the normal vidiotmap markers.

Apologies, phrased it badly - I was badging redside and using Vidiot maps but the navi bar kept taking me to the abandoned lab or in one instance I was taken to a closed door in Port Oakes I think.

Im pretty sure it's not a vidiot maps issue

Here's a thread I created regarding this issue
