In other words, it's a great day to:

  • do the laundry
  • start your homework
  • go grocery shopping
  • clean that friggin fridge out
  • play with the kids
  • go for a walk
  • earn some spouse points
  • take the dog for a walk
  • take the cat for a run drag (edited for accuracy)
  • turn to the left and login and work for once
  • Finally finish X on your streaming service of choice
  • Start the rewatch of Game of Thrones, Lost, The Boys, etc.. (again)
  • Finally check in some of that completed code at work that you've been nervous about sharing with others
  • Take the trash out!

I'm sure I'm missing something, but except for our lovely dev's I think today's a great day to give the game a break and do something else.

Once you brush off all the dust, they still work for us just like they did for our ancestors.

The ancestors were crazy smart. I picked up a book that I hadn't done anything with for like years... and the batteries weren't dead! It worked just as well as it did when I first bought it. I have some doubts over the security, though - even after all that time it still didn't prompt me to log in to my account.

Books don't have batteries.

They're solar powered.

They also didn't show ads.

Or get taken away if the publisher or bookstore decided you shouldn't have it, or didn't pay for a Reading Subscription.

Or get sanitized based on "modern values." Well, at least any moreso than the edition you currently own. 😜

The worst part about being old and a long server downtime is that by the time it comes up again I will have definitely forgotten my password. 😛

Reading's great. I like reading books. Prefer that to e-reader crap.. gives me a headache.

😞

I have old man eyes, E-Readers allow me to read more comfortably.

But if I could I would read physical.

Awwhh.. shame. I have too much of a sensitivity to bright screens to read on them for any extended period of time.
