Healix Posted Thursday at 05:56 AM Posted Thursday at 05:56 AM Did you make sure to add -assetpath assets\mods into your Extra Launch Parameters line in the Launcher's settings? Just being sure... Forever grateful to be back in my city!

Just being sure... It seems that is either the default for the newer launcher or was added by the modding tools: The original post prefaces that line with "If you use Tequila add this:", so I assumed it wasn't relevant advice for the new launcher and didn't adjust it manually. To add on to the report, closing and reopening City Mod Installer causes the error to disappear, but it happens again when uninstalling and reinstalling the mod (test case "Vidiotmaps for Homecoming"). Just being sure... This was changed to be done automatically semi-recently, the tool only officially supports the Homecoming launcher now. After installing any mod (test case is "Vidiotmaps for Homecoming"), I receive an unhandled exception error with "The given key was not present in the dictionary" when I click on the Installed Mods section. The mod does appear in-game. Full error log output: https://pastebin.com/SQU1mvFC Screenshots: Confirmed Game Path matches Install Location (error occurs with or without trailing backslash) Confirmed successful installation, but error message appears. Other context: - I am using the newest Homecoming launcher that does not require a separate Tequila installation. I was not prompted to modify the launcher by City Mod installer. - CoH Homecoming is installed on a non-system drive (System is C:, game drive is D:) - City Mod Installer creates this error regardless of whether it is on drive C or D. I checked a few previous pages to see if anyone else had this error, but it seems to be unique. Did I skip a step during City Mod Installer setup? Was I supposed to rename the Homecoming 'data' folder to something specific? I tested with and without an empty data folder, and the error persists. Any troubleshooting help would be welcome. I can't reproduce this on either a new install of the installer, or an existing install. I've pushed an update to maybe try to get more information if this happens, re-launch the installer, let it update, and try this again.

I updated the City Mod Installer, and I can no longer replicate this issue with the same steps either. 1
Display Name Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) So I was having a problem with City of Heroes I couldn't fix so eventually I went scorched-earth on it and reinstalled it completely. The problem is resolved but now all my maps are fogged. I was talking to someone about it and they told me that defogging info is stored locally. This makes me wonder if there's a mod that can defog all of the outdoor maps simultaneously? Obviously, I'm not asking for this to include "instanced" maps like mish maps, etc. just the outdoor ones. Maybe, though it's by character and sounds like it would be a sledge hammer to a china set. 10k buys Reveal. You could test it by having one char do a reveal in all zones, then copy their map file over another chars map file, but that may result in something bad happening. just outfit with reveal and if you get to a zone you already cleared, just hit that.
Display Name Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) I was thinking of a clicky that would convert all the map files to defogged. And just use it when I create a new toon. As far as your idea, I suppose I could create a new toon for that experiment. Not that I have alt-itus or anything. I can quit anytime. But if successful, that's a *lot* of copy/paste. lemming Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Homecoming/accounts/NAME/maps has the files. According to my directory, I have more files than characters, but I don't think it cleans up after a char is deleted. I've done the delete the latest file if I didn't want it revealed, but never have tried the reverse. I think the files are just masks though. (And we might be going OT now and may need a new thread) What I would do is do a couple new chars, login and just reveal Atlas Park and compare the two files. If they wind up identical, then the copy idea may work.
Display Name Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago By the way... If I get this to work I can save the modified files to another location and just copy them to a new toon. @Super Whatsit Superbase passcode (Excelsior) is "passcode-6475" It's all a Nemesis plot. Nerio72 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Wondering if other people could use a file you saved to clear their FoW. Then you could upload that file to the modder and it could be used for any toon. 1
City Council Michiyo Posted 19 hours ago Author City Council Posted 19 hours ago No, FoW files are keyed to each character in the binary data of the file. Could SOMEONE MAYBE figure that out? Sure. Am I? No. And it won't be as easy as installing a mod. 2 2

Just easy to just use the reveal power.
