I usually start out reading, and if your diction is boring, grandiloquent, pedantic, or bloviating, I start skimming.  Don't blame me for not reading when you can't be bothered to write in a way that respects my time.

Also, I start skimming (or stop reading and fire off a targeted response) if your argument is retarded.

BTW, this game is absolutely active ENOUGH.  I never have any trouble forming teams.

There was a time when I was heavily influenced by a Dr. Robert Haas, who wrote a book called "Eat to Win". 

In this book, he mentions that the milk most of us drink isn't what we should be drinking. Milk is designed for baby cows, not humans. 
The dairy industry apparently read this book and fixed it - now the very cows that make the milk the dairy industry sells us has been designed for humans. 
 

As for your actual post, some of us are long winded. 
And some of us do it to deliberately waste Snarky's time. 

With work, I continuously have to refine my emails, even the stupid text messages I have to send the occasional candidate or client. (it's why I hate text messages, they're too short to accurately relay some messages.) 

Lately, I've been trying to put the wordy stuff in a spoiler, with a summary at the top.

In keeping with the theme of this thread, I didn't actually watch the video but just from the thumbnail I can tell you I have been in the presence of a cow like that and it stinks to high heaven when they open that up. They have (at least) one at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
