SirBronco Posted Saturday at 06:52 AM Posted Saturday at 06:52 AM (edited) I turned off my experience at 49 almost always so I don't hit 50. I am almost sure I did again. Unfortunately, it leveled me to 50. I wish there was a way to take away my extra level. I don't want my toon to be 50 and somehow, he got bonus experience to level to 50. Incarnates are very confusing for me. So I stop before 50. Maybe we could call it Time Travel or Ancient History. I just want the toon to be 49 and not 50. Hmmmm...... Scarlet Shocker Posted Saturday at 08:43 AM Posted Saturday at 08:43 AM you can be lower, just exemp down with a buddy. Incarnate system is entirely skippable if you want to. You don't need to partake - though I suggest you're missing out on some excellent content if you don't. You can also get to 50 and roll a new toon from level 1 if being big is too much of an issue. We have time-travel options, in Ouroboros where you can travel back in time to allllllllllllll the content at appropriate levels. You have many many options. Best of luck to you 👍 I neither know, nor care, what the difference between ignorance and apathy is
TheMoneyMaker Posted Saturday at 09:47 AM Posted Saturday at 09:47 AM Being 50 will start earning you incarnate experience, but you can absolutely ignore it and continue to play as a standard level 50. 1
Snarky Posted Saturday at 10:14 AM Posted Saturday at 10:14 AM go to ouro and do all the stuff there. you will never be 50 1
SirBronco Posted Saturday at 02:43 PM Author Posted Saturday at 02:43 PM Thanks for your responses. The idea is to turn back time and erase levels. I don’t want to be 50 so I turn back 50 and erase it to become 49. Take the experience of 50 just a bit. As if I never earned 50. Just an idea. 🤔🤷♂️ 1
Blastit Posted Saturday at 06:54 PM Posted Saturday at 06:54 PM Why? Can't you just ignore incarnate stuff?
DoctorDitko Posted Saturday at 07:25 PM Posted Saturday at 07:25 PM (edited) I hear ya! I felt the same way when I turned 60. Can't I just go back to being 59? Shocktacular Posted Sunday at 04:21 AM Posted Sunday at 04:21 AM In case anyone thinks that SirBronco is joking, he's not. I play with him regularly (mostly for the sheer insanity of it, it's good entertainment), and he's completely serious about wanting to un-level a character. 1 1 Want more from Praetoria? Check out my level 40+ Praetoria missions in AE! I've got 4 complete arcs so far (arc 4 is a two-parter). Praetorians can get to AE in Pocket D by going through Studio 55, or via a truck in Nova Praetoria.

Do you have any interest in learning about it? Now that I understand it, I find it to be a great way to continue that character's advancement, plus you can basically swap-out the abilities as you desire, (out of combat, of course).
SirBronco Posted Sunday at 06:51 AM Author Posted Sunday at 06:51 AM (edited) Nope. I have tried the incarnate system quite a few times and so always have my toons stop at 49. Too bad for some reason this toon seems to have hit 50 with the experience turned off. Just hoping there was a way to turn back time to 49. Oh well. Edited Sunday at 07:49 AM by SirBronco 1
Ultimo Posted Sunday at 07:38 AM Posted Sunday at 07:38 AM I've often wished we could exemplar ourselves down while on our own, so we can do stuff in zones we've outleveled. For example, I have a street-level character (a Batman/Daredevil sort) whose "home" is King's Row... but he can't really DO anything there now that he's leveled up past the zone's maximum. I'd love to be able to exemp down to whatever level I want so I can do stuff wherever I am. 1
Snarky Posted Sunday at 09:33 AM Posted Sunday at 09:33 AM I seriously wish we could do this. And what is frustrating is the code is 99% set up for it. This would allow for running contacts you have out leveled. Even if it was a “back to level 1” one-way button. I would use that. Sometimes… 1

Sometimes… I was just pondering on this the other day, a respec process that worked like creating an alternate build - but playable. Sometimes I just want to go back and rebuild a character the same way I built them, one level at a time, playing them and working out what the toon needs next and what problems need to be solved or holes need to be filled. BjorJlen Posted Sunday at 04:27 PM Posted Sunday at 04:27 PM Yeah, not much reason not to hit 50 in this game, imo, as (like has been said already) there are a ton of other options available to you @SirBronco. So yeah... As far as being able to manually reduce one's lvl so as to be able to do content that one would otherwise out lvl, or even have the option to have the game set your lvl at a zone's actual lvl range when you enter it (like the PvP zones for example), or heck, not being able to out lvl Contacts at all so as to be able to do them, well... That would sort of negate the need/desire/use of Ouroboros for the most part (A good fairly big part of the game here in Homecoming), and I am fairly sure no game DM would want that (generally speaking). So yeah, while a interesting and useful idea, not gonna happen I don't think... 😁 Please come and join us on Friday at 6pm Central Time for our Friday Fashion Costume Contest (see the link below). Glacier Peak Posted Sunday at 04:38 PM Posted Sunday at 04:38 PM It's possible already. Go on to the beta shard and use the freebie popmenu to select which level you want to play at. DoctorDitko Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM I guess you can make a new build, but stop before you level up that last time. 1 Disclaimer: Not a medical doctor. SirBronco Posted Sunday at 09:43 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:43 PM Well I think just like leveling to 50 like people like to do if people don’t want to be 50 there should be a way to subtract levels. Maybe going into a unique world like the magic pipes in Super Mario World or if you die so many times after you hit 50 it starts subtracting levels. Maybe like earning rested experience you play too much and you become unrested which subtracts levels. Just something? 🤔 If people want to be 50 then that is good for them. If they want to not be 50 then why not be able to subtract a level if you want? People should be able to play the game how they want to play it. 🤷♂️

Excellent idea. Moar of this please! 1 I neither know, nor care, what the difference between ignorance and apathy is

SirBronco Posted Monday at 03:15 AM Author Posted Monday at 03:15 AM That would work as long as you could go backward. 🤔😉

Get xp debuffers from the Start vendor to turn your XP growth into -XP until you fight your way down to the desired level. "I want 8 hour of -2XP please!" ... and then debt happens ... "Darn it! I can't lose an more XP until I use XP to work off this debt!" Edited Monday at 10:09 AM by UltraAlt 2 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
