Developer The Curator Posted May 26 Developer Posted May 26 City Badge Tracker Added a City Badge Tracker kiosk to Pocket D at [-234.2 0.0 -908.8]. This kiosk will display the badges that you're missing, and a Leaderboard with every character who entered Pocket D since the last mapserver reset. There is no persistent storage at the moment, and it might not be possible. The player with the most badges will be displayed as a "hologram" next to the City Badge Tracker kiosk. Clicking on this NPC will display their character information and badge progress. In the event of a tie, the character who last clicked the City Badge Tracker kiosk (not the NPC!) will be displayed, and there's a 60-second cooldown between switches to avoid spamming back and forth. City Badge Tracker also displays progress towards Bicentennial, Dimensional Warder, River Rat and Dreamwalker/Dreamkiller. Null the Gull no longer shows progress towards Dimensional Warder, since the City Badge Tracker "Progress" page has that info.

M I Abrahms Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Is it possible to add a filter in case the player is one-side badging? As in the character is staying either full Hero, or full Villain, but still wants to collect the badges for their side? 1 1

I'm a hero-only player who could not care less about red-side exploration badges. It would be enormously helpful to be able to ignore red-only badges to help me keep tabs on what I really need to do. 2
High_Beam Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Cool. Honestly cant complain about this, its a pure QoL add. Machine needs a little de-rusting though. 1 1 Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Thank you Name Release For letting me get my OG main back!

For most badges, there's nothing in the data that can be checked in order to determine if it's a hero or villain badge -- they have no requirements themselves, they are just awarded to anyone who completes a specific task. There are a few that check alignment before awarding, but they are the exception, not enough to make a filter with. Someone would need to go in and tag every badge with info that a filter can use. I did manually go in and create a filter to hide praetorian-born and primal-born badges from the other side, so it's not impossible, just not for this page. 3 1 1
Emerald Fusion Posted May 29 Posted May 29 (edited) Something looks off with the kiosk Leaderboard right now, @Faultline Currently there are 1637 total badges. There are 22 new badges in page 2. Patch notes say 21, but it's counting the accolade, it's 22. That's a new total of 1659 including all the new ones. Currently on the kiosk the Rank 1 player has 1713 badges and the Rank 2 player has 1706 badges. Unless there are a lot of new secret badges something is off. Screenshot (I blacked out the character names to avoid them being accused of anything) Edited May 29 by Emerald Fusion tagged Faultline
Emerald Fusion Posted May 29 Posted May 29 @Faultline It looks like the issue is with the following badge categories: Both Rank 1 and Rank 2 characters have 246 Achievement badges. The total Achievement badges should be 195. 51 extra badges are being counted. They have 142 Accolade badges. The total Accolades should be 140 (including the new one). 2 extra are being counted. They also have 34 Day Job badges. The total Day Jobs should be 33. 1 extra is being counted. Hope this helps!
City Council Faultline Posted May 29 City Council Posted May 29 Players in Brainstorm have access to /badgegrant and the freebies menu, so they can get badges that are normally impossible to get together, as well as badges that are not enabled yet. 1 1

I had the feeling that may have been the case, but figured it would probably not hurt to ask.
ShardWarrior Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Thank you for this. The City Badge Tracker is a wonderful and welcome addition. I specifically liked how it will tell you missing spawns for badges like Dreamwalker. Well done! 👍

I know this seems like a really nitpicky thing that 99% of players aren't going to care about, but that machine looks god-awful. I don't just mean how it's rusted and doesn't at all fit into the ambient environment or the AE-style holo pad it's paired with. The pipes lead up and out of nowhere and are missing textures at the top. It just looks really bad, incomplete, and unfinished in my opinion. Please consider using a different asset altogether, if you aren't able to put the elbow grease into cleaning this one up.

M I Abrahms Posted Tuesday at 10:15 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:15 PM Oh, much better! I do like the Alignment Stance addition. I am curious why it was put down next to the red bar, though, since it's the one spot for both alignments. Could it work directly across from the base portal? 1

Maybe a future option would be to have various categories where you can do leaderboards. Overall badge total, hero, villain, Praetorian etc. Just a thought. I'm not a badger so I am meh about a badge leaderboard but I always like looking at stats and data. Maybe if this is easy to add, you could like at doing leader boards for damage dealers, damage taken, healed, held etc...if this type of thing is possible. A top 10 if you will. The cool touch would be to display the actual top toon on each board (to play off the aforementioned hologram of the top badge getters). If I were to take it a bit further, you may have to add a LARGE wing to pocket D dedicated to the leaderboards.
