If this is already possible, please let me know!

This is a purely selfish idea based on something that would serve me and my game play.  I love the Reveal power in missions, probably too much.  It's useful to know how the corridors are going to work out.  However, once Reveal is used, then you cannot see where you have already been.

I would love it, LOVE IT, if you could hit Reveal at the beginning of the mission, see the layout, then hit Unreveal so that the fog of war comes back.  I believe that sometimes (always?) the fog of war resets if you leave the mission then reenter, but ugh, effort.

Yes, it does. Every time. Never a complete wipe because there are seemingly random patches of exposed map. And it also wipes everywhere you have already been on the map except for the seemingly random patches as noted.

So my best guess? Even if a Conceal power to counter Reveal was to be made, it would still do the same thing as leaving the mission. Erasing everything except for the random patches including the parts of the map you have been to.

The persistent versions on city maps can be reset by deleting the file.  (which takes a little investigation, often by deleting the character's touched file, but it's a sledgehammer approach, and I think you have to reboot the client as well)

It would be a nice thing to be able to reset the state as you suggest.   Possibly by just hitting reveal again?

I believe this request is not needed...

I have found in the past if you use reveal, and then exit the mission and re-enter, the map is reset and blank. So you know the layout and now can map your progress.

Hope this helps

Multil-floor mission maps. Unless you go up the elevators to each floor before you exit and re-enter, you won't see what floors 2-4 look like, and will be going in blind.

I have, at times wanted this but I would suggest doing the partial reveal thing that zone maps use. Reveal could show you the darkened version of the map and when you go somewhere that place lights up to fully explored. When I first used it I was surprised this didn't happen.

Sounds like it's time for the trail of breadcrumbs pool power.....

" When it's too tough for everyone else,

it's just right for me..."

( Unless it's Raining, or Cold, or Really Dirty

or there are Sappers, Man I hate those Guys...)

I like this idea. First use of the reveal power gives us the shaded, translucent fog of war layer, revealing the map while also letting you see where you've been. Second use of the reveal power could eliminate that layer, too.
