I've never been to Australia but it's still there, lol. Who said something didn't happen? You are refuting the fact that I didn't experience it with a nothing argument. Maybe you experience what you did because you became known for using knockback in an irresponsible manner. I didn't say that before, but you are putting this into a different field of interaction. 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: "Even on Virtue" meant that before the other servers were getting shut down All of the NCSoft CoH servers were shutdown at the same time. 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: or dying out (leading to the servr being invaded by farmers and trolls), What "the servr"? What are you evening talking about at this point? 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: Virtue's RPers were genraly more tolerant in my experience than the average player when it came to game mechanics issues. Okay. But just because you say that was happening for you doesn't mean it is happening for everyone. I mean you haven't even been to Australia. or is that not how we are trying to discuss things? It seems like that is the way you want this to go. 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: My job and other real life issues kept me from having a regular play schedule, so I had difficulties growing a friends list, which was all but vital finding teams. ... and, yeah, so as you say ... 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: OK, let me start by saying just because you've never seen something doesn't mean it doesn't exist or hasn't happened. I've never been to Australia but it's still there, lol. I was primarily a PuG player. I still am. I have friends list, but I tend to play with PuGs rather than have a friend tell me to join a team more sending friends a tell to join a team. I teamed up on all the servers, some more than others. The same goes here. There are a couple - like before the Sunset - I don't play on often. 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: Groups repeatedly refused to let an unknown KB blaster on the team, I was outright told repeatedly that was the issue. So how exactly does that go down? /lft antiknockbackking, LF2M for Yin. /t antiknockbackking, I'll join! antikockbackking, I'm not going to send you an invite because you are an energy blaster. How would they even know? Oh, they were on your friends list and you had a reputation for not using knockback in team friendly manner. Got it. 3 hours ago, The Witchfire said: It took me FOREVER to get to the mid 20s and the only reason that character made it to 50 at all was Breaker Udual let me on his Family farm runs. Sounds rough. My energy blaster made it to 50 on live by PuG'ing with no farming and never rejected from joining or ejected from a team for playing an energy blaster. 4 hours ago, The Witchfire said: That was pre AE days when PI missions got farmed over and over w/o closing the mision out. I've always been opposed for farming in all forms. 4 hours ago, The Witchfire said: The incident with Strong Girl stuck in my mind because she was just doing it to troll the team too. If she hadn't been an SG member, I'd have booted her from the team. I see. Thanks for letting me know the kind of people you run with. It all makes more sense in totality now. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

That has never changed and remains true. It sounds like to me that you may be in denial if you believe that most players don't hate knock back. Some things in life don't need to be proven due to the abundance of evidence. Players who hate knock back being the majority is one of them. I concede the overwhelming majority of players I've encountered have no interest in RP. Even I tend to banter more than RP. But my experience does not match yours when it comes to KB. Most player reactions I've seen have been "meh" as long as mobs are dying and the team is steadily pressing forward. If it matters, I tend to do most of my teaming in TF's or lower level content. I'm not a fan of incarnates, and tend to avoid most 45+ teams unless I have a specific goal in mind. Perhaps this means I tend to encounter a different arena of players than yourself, perhaps not. All I can say, it's what I've seen. Cheers. .
Xenodi Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago (edited) I dislike Knockback (KB) and wish it could be removed from certain sets, or that some alternative solutions could be implemented. I especially dislike when other players use KB right before when you drop your AOE bombs, knocking mobs out of the damage zone. KB essentially acts as an anti-damage skill when used by other players. Sure there are some players who can use KB well in team content but those are in minority. Edited 51 minutes ago by Xenodi
