@BrandX, I went to do some comparison thinking on you're attempt to improve by looking back in the thread for old attempts on KM I know I ran with Tanks but I couldn't find that post buried in the mess of things (I'm not even 100% certain it's in this thread versus another one). I did remember I had a video of it though and was able to reference a few time snaps from that though at the rough cuts were 3:00-3:30

That did help!

Musculature Core - Degen Core - Hybrid Core (Passive Only)

QS (4 DMG Procs - 66.25% ACC/DMG) > BB (3 DMG Procs/Superior Crit Strike Proc - 66.25% ACC/DMG / 23.19% RCH) > SB (Hecatomb +5ed, No DMG IO, +1 DMG Proc) > Zapp (Apoc +5, No DMG IO, +1 DMG Proc) > QS > BB > SB > Repeat

Note: .214 second gap on that Zapp, except when I cast Power Siphon, that I would cast when the next click was QS, BB or SB...if it was Zapp next, I didn't click it until after.

1:50 (Worst Time) 476.42 DPS

1:40 (Best Time) 511.28 DPS

Note: Worst time is a lie!  Worst time was when I died >_>

Also tried out QS > BB > SB > Repeat

2:14 - 413.99 DPS

I'll likely reroll in the end to a different Secondary for concept, tho I'll miss that secondary.  Not Shield tho, personally, do not like KM's animations with Shield.

Edit: Tried same slotting in attacks on a non offensive secondary for 3:00 - 340.86 DPS however it had some +DMG set bonuses to try to give it a bit more.  Quick build as well as the endurance would need work.

Nice.

So I tried just doing SB-QS-BB-SB-Snipe chain. Times were surprisingly good, but I couldn't how to make it consistent in 4-5 runs. . I was bouncing around in the 1:30s all the way to 2:10s. Prolly averaged in the high 1:40s, not 100% sure on the average. Going by estimation there. Went back to the typical CS-Snipe-SB-QS-BB-SB build/chain and tried using PS a little different. It was more consistent. I was averaging in the 1:30s (never got a run above 1:37) and it just felt a lot smoother. I did measure out the chain time length (8.448s) in case I got a CS crit that refreshed PS, but I found it working better for me to just watch the PS icon fade out or not. I've gone back and forth how to use PS (I suspect getting this down is the key for the set) and I've had my best results slotting it like other BU powers. There is no guarantee CS will crit and refresh it, so this seemed to work. I definitely agree that KM needs some love like EM got, but I don't suspect it will get it. KM isn't in a bad place like EM was. Nor is it a legacy set like EM is.

I cast PS BEFORE CS (in case it crits and refreshes it). Is that the best? Not sure, but it's working OK for me. Also, I've personally become a big fan of proc bombing DNA Siphon and Radiation Therapy. That helps a LOT with KM's weak AOE. Way more than you might suspect.

Nice work getting to your goal line.

And in regards to running KM in partnership with a "non-offensive" secondary, my "career" with the set personally was a KM/SR Scrapper and I still think of it as one of my favorites. I refuse to reroll that character on Homecoming for sentimental reasons though so it's just memories for me at this point. Taking Super Reflexes as the secondary allowed me to pour all my efforts into power though once I hit my defensive goals.

Honestly, for the set I feel only CS needs sped up.

Sadly, I feel the only way to make Focused Burst (LOVE THIS ANIMATION) worth while, is make it as good as Quick Cast Moonbeam/Zapp, but that's never going to happen.  As is, it's not worth taking when one would likely grab the Snipe.

Repulsing Torrent I feel is fine as is (maybe speed it up a bit).  Can't fit it into a lot of builds, but if one is looking for a bit of a "save me" attack, it being knockdown doesn't seem to bad.

There is sooooooo much argument potential for this from Street Fighter's Hadoken to Dragon Ball's Kamehameha, there's always portrayal of short and long variations of "blast/ball" techniques with varied strength levels.

I would love love love LOVE to be able to QS > BB > SB > [QC]FB

Yo. This made me happy snort.I honestly would love fighting game inputs for certain moves/combos/chains. I also don't think that would be very appealing in an MMO 😛

Honestly, I had the thought of "Why not make Focused Burst just like the snipes, so it's useful?"

But I'm sure it'd be considered OP to have two snipes, unless taking the FB Snipe was able to stop one from taking the other snipes.  Took FB Snipe?  Then no MB or Zapp.  I'd take that trade up myself, just to have the animation.

Another thought was turn it into a CS clone in terms of damage, so one could go with CS or FB (Martial Arts shows one could do it), but this would mean also speed up CS to match and one could either do actual crit damage or both reset Power Siphon.

Was Hyrbid on or off? Also, this is funny, cause I was rolling around the idea of doing a Ill/Fire/Ice dom. I have a Plant/Fire/Ice one but it sure isn't smoking ST stuff that fast.

Yep, definitely Hybrid on. And yeah, Ill doms are pretty overpowered right now.

Nothing unusual IMO. Here's the build. No formal chain, just prioritize Blaze/Blazing Bolt/Blind (Blind for +Dam proc) and Incinerate if needed to fill gaps. Phantom Army to open and Embrace of Fire and Sleet when up.

LOL this is what I did for my Ill/Cold controller (in terms of blind slotting). Obviously slightly different because of ATO procs, but that's it. 😄

First run on fire/bio/soul scrapper. Fully slotted, but only T2 incarnates. 97 seconds. Whaaat?! I have a feeling I'm going to like this. Unless this is a fluke, I'm guessing the final version ends up in the 650+ dps range.

Edit: 89 seconds on Try 2. Wee.

I enjoy the flow of this build, running an Incinerate -> GFS -> Cremate -> Moonbeam/Fire Sword chain, where Fire Sword is most often replaced by a misc click. It's as simple as it gets, all attacks animate in roughly ~1.5s which is neither too fast or too slow.

I'm not likely to make this combo myself, but I am curious as to what Interface you used?  Degen or Reactive?

There isn't.   It's about HP (and regen) and the artificial cap put on degen but not reactive, not DPS.

pretty sure for AVs it's always roughly equal, but +4 Trial GMs might swing to Reactive due to the artificial capping on Degen.

I do know the really fast teams abuse degen stacking rules to nuke the AVs and GMs faster.  Every 2 players take a different radial degen tier, then the last pair take Reactive.  Instant max caps of -HP, then multiplied by -Resist.

Note: all interfaces have a stacking cap.  Degen also has an artificial max -hp cap.

AE 801 (link) is a variety of missions for fun and challenge, and is designed for a team of 5+ Incarnates.  Just search '801' in AE.

     801 Difficulty Varies: 801.0 Easy, ..., 801.2 Standard*, ..., 801.5 Moderate**, ..., 801.6 Hard***, ..., 801.7 Four Star****, ... 801.F Death.

I may be AFK IRL, But CoH is my Forever Home.

Where did you stick the crit proc, and if you did, how proc'd out did you go on the attacks?

I've been monkeying with a Fire/Electric Scrapper build that only gets close to 3:00ish with just a couple of procs. If I turn on Assault Hybrid I can shave a minute, but eh. Wanted to get by without using Moonbeam, but it gets me closer when I do use it swinging for nearly 600 points under Build Up without even having anything more than Musculature and a 53 Acc/Dam HO in it.

Heck in the time frame of considering posting this I got side tracked and reconfigured the build again, although I think I moved things around into the only configuration I'm going to get away with, see what it does in the evening maybe.

3:40 - 3:50 on my Storm/DP with T4 Cardiac Core (Yeah...need this :p), T4 Degen Core, T4 Assault (just passive)

So, roughly around 300 DPS.

ES (4 Procs, one being the purple) > Pistols (4 procs, one being the -Resist) > DW (4 Procs) > Pistols > Repeat w/ casting Freezing Rain (no procs), Tornado (no damage procs) and Lightning Storm (no procs) when they're recharged.  Tactics running with Gaussian w/ Chance for Build Up.

Lightning Storm has a 60 second duration tho, so may have been a better idea to wait to cast Thunderstorm, as I'm not sure if that gives you multiple storms or new one replaces old one.

For my fire/bio, I put CS in Cremate and had 4 procs in all the ST attacks. The PPM there is about 50%, not the worst. It's more reliable in GFS but you probably have a higher DPS ceiling when putting it in Cremate.

Was able to get 48s with Assault Radial active.

The damage gets pretty nuts when you have good RNG between CS in Cremate, FF in Cremate, and BU proc in Moonbeam.

LS and Tornado can have as many casts out as you can manage so go nuts. I’d also suggest putting the BU proc in LS as well as the FF+Rech as both are almost assured to fire when you summon it granting you a nice little boost and a great way to get extra BU triggers on demand. A moderately hastened build should manage two of each fairly well.

Hmm, I hadn’t thought about the BU proc in Moonbeam, that’d be a huge spike point for sure. Kind of an obvious choice now that it’s pointed out since I don’t have any recharge slotted in that power. I fixed the build I was working yesterday so I know I don’t have much wiggle room left but I think I can skip that in and give it a run tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder!
