That's a good build, Hyperstrike.

To be honest, I've played a lot of MMs into their 50s/incarnate since starting HC (bots/cold, thugs/time, Necro/dark, demons/dark, beasts/time) and bots/FF remains my favorite.

Hey Hyperstrike, how does recharge apply to the pets it's slotted to on Battle Drones and Protector Bots on that build?

I was almost certain that Recharge Intensive Pets wasn't even applicable to MM henchmen

Also curious why you didn't tap into power boost 😛

Recharge enhancement in pets only affects their summoning recharge time. It will not reduce their own attacks. Still useful to have. Especially for your tier 3 pet.

On my demon/time mm I've been experimenting with she's got perma-hasten and perma-chrono boost, so sitting at about 200% recharge speed, plus a bit of recharge in the pet powers from various ATO pieces. Means if I summon a pet and it dies, I can replace it very quickly if necessary. I think the tier-1 pets can be resummoned every 17s or so.

nice! It's always handy to bring back those minions as quickly as possible...I like a bit of endurance reduction too, both to help the pet's blue bar, as well as my own. Serves double duty! 🙂

Yeah, I've been toying around with some mastermind ideas on the test server lately, to see what I can do into incarnate stuff with them. The demon/time pretty much roflstomped through a +3/6 incarnate mission, so I think with a bit of tweaking of the build (most of them are just thrown together quickly to test out ideas) I could probably comfortably do +4/8. Though to maintain a better speed I'd probably just opt for +3/6. The extra +1/2 doesn't really make much all that much of a difference in terms of rewards, but it definitely slows down progress a bit.

Mostly it's chasing set bonuses.

Ooh a Hyperstrike build, nice! Nom nom nom.... copying it now.

[edit] hmm... not sure about this one... the previous one I "borrowed" didn't use weapons at all and used the medic pool.

Ye... why do you need scorpion shield? That's some strange playstyle where you're tanking for the pets and not the other way around ... I guess it's soloer style?

Scorpion Shield incarnate caps you to Smashing, Lethal, and Energy (and are some toxic resists) which are the three most popular end game damage types.

In most trials and many SFs you will be catching aggro and splash damage. E shield is a huge boost to personal survivability.

If you solo or play an smaller teams with a dedicated tank, you probably don't need it.

I went Heat Mastery on my Necro/Dark for Bonfire (which is awesome for damage mitigation), and I built for extra Ranged defense to add on to all the  -To Hit he and the pets can stack. But I still miss Scorpion Shield's always-on protection, sometimes.

I played my Bots/FF for a few levels recently. It's quite fun - strong vs Halloween event mobs but much weaker vs regular mission mobs.

Someone said that the Sudden Acceleration: Knockback to Knockdown is good for big robot. I've got one but I've already slotted thing wrongly, so now I'm wondering how the respec is going to go...

I've picked up a Sovereign Right: Resistance bonus for 10% def bonus for bots (might be crap, I have no idea). I also picked up a defence bonus from the Sovereign Right set (half as good).

I like using force bubble with all that annoying knockback, especially indoors.....

Makes it easier to get everything in a corner for those burn patches to really get the full effect.

I really do not like /ff. People describe it as mellow, I describe it as a snoozefest of "I buff, bots chew things down, I move" and thats it.

That said, i feel like it's a weak set in general. One trick ponies fall off in performance with incarnates. With barrier, support core, and generic IOs you can make a setless MM pretty close to immortal in end game content. the leveling curve with /FF is slow. Steady, but slowwwwww. It just takes longer to chew things down without some form of buffs/debuffs and the harder content gets the more true that is. The soloing curve with /ff levels out early and then starts to get steeper. You're at your most relatively powerful at level 32, maybe 41 when you get an immob to keep people in burn patches, and it's downhill from there into incarnate material. By comparison, a bots/storm which gets barrier and suddenly stops losing bots randomly, can let the drones be in melee because they can take it, and has gotten their sets in order to blast storm powers left and right at 50 is going to top out way higher and much later. The /ff power graph flattens out before you hit 50 to pretty close to nothing and gets a slight bump from incarnates compared to most other pairings turning into demigods.

I should also note that compared to demons and thugs bots has no proc mule power to help damage and /ff kinda hurts bots in also not being a strong powerset to proc out compared to the other two most popular MM sets and benefits more from some kinda set that has a power you can proc the hell out of.

I've noticed that it's slow, yes.

Protector bots have debuffs on them... of ... some description. I know nothing about it but you can slot debuff enhancements.

The recharge slotted in basically just recharges the summon faster AFAIK.
And I didn't tap PB because I was mainly concentrating on Maximum steady-state Tankery.
I'm real big on steady-state performance.

It's not as flashy as some builds.
But it's straightforward and dependable.  It ALSO isn't relying on the good will of the RNG gods...

I've got to L43 on my Bots/FF MM and I'm really wondering what other secondary I should have gone with. FF doesn't seem to do much for my survivability. It's quite grim.
