  1. Heh, I vaguely recall that name. :p I'm mostly on Torch with my two OG SG/VGs recreated (self-alts only as I don't think anyone's coming back TBH), but I've recreated/made new some alts just for LL on Indom. I might just have some DD quality alts in my Beta list once they get out of Praet, but I haven't decided on the Beta crew's themes yet. If you haven't seen it, PinnBadges is a live chan in-game as well.
  2. Let's see... No finger anchors / spawnage Finished my 3rd/last college in 2010 My 20yrs of retail was ended For me just before Xmas 2017 Beta tested that Marvel UA style game (and a few others) that eventually failed "Smoke" tested the remastered Pegasus Prime for Mr. Yune before the released it on GoG And who knows how much else...
  3. Have you been messing with key binds? Any idea of things you've done recently? Also, I encourage having this in the Tequilla options to help reduce the strain on your system when (successfully) alt-tabbing:
  4. Isn't there a list of existing global channels? There's a bunch out there with different themes. Base building, etc.
  5. I don't have the steps to follow off hand, but there are display scaling options that you should turn down to either 100% or 125% as the 150% breaks old stuff. I've seen apps not load at all with the higher setting.
  6. Are you guys marking just the EXE's as safe or are you making the whole folder white listed? I'd do the latter as you "shouldn't" have to do it more than once. Just checked mine, I haven't made Any whitelisting for Webroot, but Defender has my whole C:\games folder whitelisted. I can't remember Ever getting a message about the game with this config.
  7. I've only skimmed the thread, but I remember having either made or customized the existing MM pet powers in such a way where I'd have a handful of things they would do. It was for all pets, as so to keep them manageable. I remember their being a standard set I'd followed, so a look in the old forum guides would be something worth the effort to comb through. Hopefully PK will have something by year's end that we can all access (old forums) and make searching for these things easier.
  8. Well Fu....this country needs some serious mental health support. Amongst other things. Take your time.
  9. Agreed and I can't tell that's a double arrow from my viewing distance, so that'd be an easy miss. :p
  10. I...don't know why I never hovered over the button. >.< I "do" know that I was assuming that meant "next page" as that's generally what an arrow pointing right means on everything Else (not much TBH) that I visit on the internet. Oh well, +1 for this forum's design. :p
  11. There is one Other option you could try that is a little tricky and requires you to do an extra step Before launching the game. Now I'm not going to write out the specific method for this, but the basic concept is to create a pair of registry files that you would load before launching the game. One for High GFX and one for low GFX (labeled accordingly). You would take the related COH registry key and export that for each and then Merge them as needed. It should work and would only have to be created once per settings. IE: Setup the GFX the way you like and exit the game. Goto the Cryptic/COH registry key and export it and rename it. Go Back into the game, change the settings, and exit. Export the key again with the appropriate name. If you understand what the different entries Mean, then you could always just edit the files manually as well. ***I've not tried it, but it Should work for any settings that the system registry controls.
  12. This mostly, but it does feel like the modern "fat fingered" interface and likely works well on a mobile device. Eventually they'll get around to having time to give us more options, but I AM liking that we have the recent button mixed with having it auto-sort in chrono order EITHER direction. I HATE other websites for that. Like, they'll be reverse chrono and it makes it Super dif to keep up to date or even read things in sequence.
  13. I won't know until I fix my MBP to test, but aren't Mac PKG files/apps basically just folders that contain the app's files? If so, then wouldn't it just be possible to simply replace the folder containing the main components from the PC builds? IE: Drag'n'drop fix
  14. What was said above in response as well as that there are folders (Download included) that the system likes to treat different from say C:/Games in that it likes to protect them. Often AV software will also be focused on them as well by default. Normally I'd be ok to put the game in something like "Program Files", but this isn't a production company supported app and thus probably has signature issues that might Also get flagged by AV. If it works for you, then great, but the guides in existence are designed specifically to avoid 'possible' issues intentionally to reduce any troubleshooting.
  15. I know, but I want the quick button for when we get threads *coughs*PK's*coughs* that are like 10+ deep. :p
  16. So...is this only a Discord thing or is that an actual in-game handle? If the former, then I've got to update my info.
  17. For curiosity sake, PK, just how Many did you have?!?
  18. Wait a tic...what's this "nsa.tools" stuff? :p
  19. This 'bug' seems to be consistent this whole time as I'm constantly having to make the settings changes. If I knew the file that it's pointing to, then I'd save that before wiping the dir.
  20. I think you're missing something rather big here though. RP or not, people Intentionally will have some alts in one group and some in another. Especially those from the OG. What you're suggesting (if it were even Possible, which it's already been suggested is Not) would result in a mess where Every alt you make will go into that SG. Now, think about this a minute. Just think about how big those ranks will get in a hurry. IDK about you, but I've already got about 4-5 dozen alts (most are OG remakes). Now imagine you get say 5 of us like that in a group and then somebody wants to go change a rank. Something rather simple and normally quick-ish depending on sorting and activity. Even if you expanded the group window from top-bottom of a screen, it would take maybe half a dozen pages to Read just to find that alt. Oh and don't forget about the bases. Your first problem will be sharing storage. We already know the storage limit is EASY to hit with a Single hoarder in the base, but imagine trying to share with hundreds of alts vs a couple hundred. Ok, you can set rules on that and hope they're followed. What about when you get a couple hundred people hanging out in the base and a few of them happen to be multi-boxing...do you like HARD crashes, because that's how you get server/instance killing crashes. The point is, until the database issue gets a work around (I'm assuming that means when they get time to dump the spaghetti and build from scratch), we're likely going to have to just deal with this as is and how we've managed before. Creatively, with coalitions, and the understanding that while we're lucky the game is back, we're even luckier it happens to work due to some very creative fixing back in OG.
  21. I do and don't like this suggestion. Yes, it adds a single, daily annoying click, but at the same time it prevents those prone to mis-clicks from having to then wait (hopefully just) a day for things to trigger the list again.
  22. I basically put it all in the title. The more I use this new layout, the more I find myself trying to get to the last page on threads I've already read through. having a button after "Next" that says "Last" would help save some clicks.
  23. The thing about the whitelisting (telling the AV that it's safe to run) is that you really should be making the whole folder whitelisted. Also, people really need to start following the installation guides as we keep seeing the game installed in things like the Downloads and Documents folders. These are protected anyway and while it May run for a while, it's quite possible a random update could fubar your install's permissions.
  24. Standardization of helpful things is helpful! ^.^
  25. Per the HIGHLY recommended installation guide, I begrudgingly suggest you change your installation to match accordingly. Having the game itself in your downloads folder is a bad idea in general. For the game: You have it like this: C:\Users\C\Downloads\homecoming Where you'll have better luck with this: C:\Games\homecoming This way when you install Any add-ons they'll end up here: C:\Games\homecoming\data If you don't do this now and they start adding to the game (or more add-ons are created/found), then you're going to keep having a headache.
