  1. I think most of the low level complaints you have are common to most MMOs. The intent, at least in this game, is to feel more powerful as you advance in levels - I personally don't want to feel super heroic at the very start. So to address a few: 1. Too few attacks - get Hasten as early as possible and place a recharge in it. There are also a couple of filler attacks, Nemesis staff and Blackwand you can pick up at the p2w vendor. Once I get past the very lowest levels, I rarely feel like I'm waiting on something to recharge on any AT. 2. Tankers - yeah, they suck solo, I agree. They're intended to be group friendly. Not sure why you're taking so much damage unless you're not bothering to pick up any primary powers. 3. Blasters - that's your preference, but built properly your glass cannon turns into just a cannon. Just saying. 4. Dominators/Trollers - I love them, though I prefer trollers due to the pets. Again, personal preference. 5. Sentinel - my opinion, meh. Feels like a slightly more survivable blaster, with very low to average dps. Playable, yes. Fun? Not really.
  2. I wasn't even aware there were psi swords. :) I may have to make a Psylocke tribute character. But I'd pretty much want it the other way - psi swords for all of the attacks.
  3. I ran another this morning, nothing specific like "All Stormy" this time. :) Pretty good run, about 54 minutes - thx again to everyone who participated! Group Composition: Fire/Rad ( my character) Ice/Cold Earth/Storm Illusion/Emp Earth/Emp Plant/Nature Fire/Poison Illusion/Cold I think this is the first time I've had two Earth controllers on a team. Earth tends to dominate visually over everything else, so you can imagine what it looked like with two running. :) A few screenshots:
  4. I guess originality isn't what they're looking for. :) The winner on Excelsior also had on the retro sci-fi, even though she was standing next to someone also wearing the retro sci-fi. One of the runner-ups was wearing a trench coat and fedora, pretty much identical to another contestant. Shrug.
  5. My build that I got off an older thread and tweaked a little, doesn't meet all of your requirements but might give you some ideas: Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.7.2.10 https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 6. There are several melee sets that fall in this category: Fire Melee - with various "Fire Sword" attacks. Ice Melee - with "Ice Sword" attacks Stone Melee - with "Mallet" attacks None of these attacks really coincide with my concept of such a character... for example, the Human Torch when he melees doesn't use a sword. Don't believe I've ever seen the Grey Gargoyle use a huge mallet either, or Iceman using a sword. Since the assets are already there, it would be nice if these specific attacks could be replaced with a generic punching animation, and if possible an associated fire/ice/stone graphical effect.
  7. Interesting, kind of makes a defensive stat useless if it's suppressed when you actually need it.
  8. Thanks! Just curious about the choice of weave over mask presence... Mids seems to indicate that mask presence gives 2% more defense than the other.
  9. I found one build in this forum for a pure ranged Fortunata - very good defense percentages across the board, but almost no resists. Is that typical, or is it possible to have decent resists to go along with the defense? Was hoping to have something that worked well in ITF for when my defense gets stripped. If anyone can share a build, I'd appreciate it.
  10. I remember someone back on live with the name "A Pink Fluffy Bunny" .... some of the npc chatter around "A Pink Fluffy Bunny" was hilarious.
  11. Ok, after the second install it appears to be working. Thanks!
  12. Uninstalled and reinstalled the application, telling McAfee it was ok... now I'm getting the following error when I attempt to run the app:
  13. Personally, I'd like to fight that monstrosity from the ITF - bring it forward to the future - maybe have it spawn in Striga periodically.
  14. McAfee is calling the actual exe a virus, not sure what triggered the change - I've had it there for ages.
  15. Shrug, I was two shot this morning by a regular Boss in ITF with my level 46 Fortunata. Just two straight hits, like I had no defense. This character already has insane amounts of defense across the board, well over 40% against melee and smashing/lethal. Unless 1 hit is enough to strip all defense, this was pure bull. I've seen it in other areas of the game as well.
  16. Just completed an all stormy ITF a few minutes ago.... mixed feelings about this run. It was entertaining in terms of the chaos and whackiness, definitely an eyeball searer. :) However, in terms of overall effectiveness, not so much. The frequent usage of hurricane probably did not help with speed or with the Rom fight. I've also noticed that in my defense based builds, defense just doesn't seem to protect as much lately - has there been some kind of stealth nerf? You would think with that many overlapping steamy mists, nothing could hit us. Pretty slow run, especially because of the final fight against Rom. After several tries and many deaths, we finally had to settle on pulling him to the roof and hover fighting him - everything else had him running around while the Nictus range nuked us. Despite all that, we still had fun, and that's what is important after all. Thanks to everyone who participated! Group composition this time consisted of 5 trollers and 3 defenders: Trollers ( */Storm ) : Plant ( Me ) Illusion Earth Ice x 2 Defenders ( Storm/ *) Psychic Elect Ice Screenshots:
  17. I haven't had any issues up until now, but McAfee is now reporting Mids as being a virus and has quarantined it. Anyone else running into this, and how do I get around it? ( and please don't tell me to remove McAfee, tried some of the other virus scanners with less than desirable results ) Seems odd that it did this all of a sudden....
  18. Ran another this morning on a whim. Honestly wasn't expecting to get an all troller team together this early in the morning - but it happened. :) Thanks to all who joined. Group composition was as follows: Fire/Rad ( my character) Ice/Time Ice/Dark Grav/Time Plant/Dark Dark/Dark Earth/Storm Ice/Cold Much ICE and much DARKNESS on this run. :) I think everyone was incarnate except for the Ice/Cold, so it went very smoothly - no deaths. Screenshots below:
  19. I just ran a level 54 ITF yesterday - no tank, no support, and several lower level team mates. I tried my best to tank, but found out there were limitations to what I could handle. I can solo level 54x8 council just fine in PI, but the Cimerorans were something else. A few more deaths than I would expect to have with all T4 incarnates, and what I thought to that point was a fairly decent build.... Below is my current build, with decent positional defense and fair resists to smashing/lethal. I'd appreciate any help to make this build even more survivable, while still retaining good dps. Thanks! 20. I wouldn't mind having more festive Christmas decorations in AP, as well as other zones. I've noticed all buildings in all zones have Halloween jack-o-lanterns in the windows during Halloween, why night have Christmas candles, wreaths, other decorations in the windows during Christmas?
  21. I think this is one of the shorter TFs. On a good speed team, it can be done in 15 minutes or less. The typical kill most duration, from my experience, is between 45 minutes and an hour, on a really good team kill most is about 35 mins.
  22. One more thing to add to the list: In the last mission, Romulus seems to have virtually no resists to knockdown, completely inconsistent with the prior mission. You would think infused with Nictus power, he would be more powerful across the board, not less.
  23. I found this build on an old post, but am having issues picking up energy transfer at level 35, forcing me spend a number of enhancement slots elsewhere. Guess it must be out of date or screwed up somehow. It would also be nice to have some kind of travel power, either flight or super speed. Anyone have a more up to date build that I can follow? 24. I think the auto upgrade would be a nice feature. Definitely would make it less of a pain. However, what I think would be nicer would be to convert them into some kind of toggle, like dual pistols have - where your pets get some kind of different bonus based on which toggle is selected.
  25. 1. Fix Sister Solaris so she can be led to the altar without everyone turning off group and/or individual stealth powers. Not unique to this TF, this would be nice across the game. 2. Fix mission 3 mission objective so that it reads "Defeat Requiem" instead of "Defeat General". Romulus gets his own objective line, so why not the other AV? 3. Occasionally, ground targeting just doesn't want to work on the bridge in mission 3. 4. Not unique to this TF, but could you fix it so that everyone on the team can click on a mission entrance door at the same time? Very annoying having to wait for the closing door animation to conclude before I'm allowed to click.
