Stealth seems fine to me, here's my WS with their Cloak + Celerity combo on with the expected 65 feet of stealth and not aggroing a Possessed Scientist from just now And here's me rezzing from some NuCouncil and I was untouchable for the first few seconds.

Which secondaries for Rad Armor and Shield Defense?
Carnifax replied to BuiltDifferent5's topic in Tanker
MA is good for Rad to me because the constant Forced Feedkbacks in Dragons and Crane Kick work well with Rads slow recharging AoEs (and absorb shield). And MA likes the extra AoE Rad can bring. You can also get def cap on melee, s & l without giving up on resists, 2 stacks of the Tank ATO and I'm capped to everything bar Cold. Yes the Def can and will be stripped but it's like layer one of your protection. Think of it as the "starter", you've still got the main course of capped resists and the dessert of Absorb shield + heal to go. And Ageless Radial for when you're deeply debuffed and fancy a timeout to remove the cascading -Def. But there's probably no bad choice here anyway. -
Or accidentally murdering a Willpower brute because they'd jumped a spawn ahead and suddenly found all bar the purple bosses got yoinked by my Warshades version and they swiftly died. Glad I never did that 👀..... I have it specced into my baby Shield/Axe but yep, it's been tough to fit. Not sure I'll stick with it.

IO Sets and Slotting for a 50+ Warshade Tri-Form
Carnifax replied to MadnessAsMuse's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Dark Extractions can pump out a lot of damage on my triform They are totally idiot paper bags though, they're still too willing to sneak in too close. But when I've checked their damage output numbers after a few missions it's been surprisingly good Worst thing about them is how they dry up in AV fights, which is Warshades biggest issue overall. In the toughest fights you often can't heal from bodies, can't buff damage, can't get good numbers from Eclipse and can't raise fluffies. -
I wrote a parser pretty much for that reason. You can run a couple of radios solo *8, upload the combat log and see where it ends up overall in terms of damage. For me it didn't seem worth the slots but happy to be corrected. I like procs and the build options & tricks they can provide. More choices is always good.
-
It won't for a good reason. Procs only trigger in pseudopets when they use a power which would trigger the proc. Bombardment is a damage set, the oil slick doesn't do damage so no proc check. If there was some kB proc which did fire or energy damage itd could. But even then because Oil Slick counts as a "patch" power and patch powers are essentially an invisible pseudo pet with an aura you're looking at "test once every 10 seconds with the recharge locked at 10 seconds" against a big AoE. It's why I don't rate procs in things like Slick, freezing rain, tar patch, caltrops or other Rains. They just don't go off often enough.

Yep, my Ice / Traps junkbot has it. Enflame is fine but I wish there were alt-animations / FX for Arcane, RoP and the flight. Although flambè Jack raises even more questions. Animations are one of the harder things to add when designing a set so I applaud the Homecoming team for playing it smart with Arsenal. Powers are a nice remix too. I don't mind that.

Charsets are the second most annoying thing about computers (printers are 1st, then charsets and finally timezones).

Farming vs whatever for fast inf building
Carnifax replied to BigKahuna337's topic in General Discussion
Yep, email. Thing is I rarely strip chars (advantage of mostly using cheaper sets and rarely loads of purples or Winters). Anyone I do spend the time to purple / winter out I've had on a cheaper build since the mid 20s so I know they work and I like them. Hence they never get stripped for parts. Mostly email is full of Oblits, Thunderstrikes and Kinetic Combats (because those are the ones replaced by Winters / Purps as an upgrade). I will start using tables to squirrel away LOTGs and the uniques as I craft-convert them though. -

Gone there but there's no mention of how to store enhancements. I know there are salvage racks but I'm stumped on where Enhancements can go. Searching the page for enhancement returned nothing either. Edit : Ignore me, found it by speeding through a video! Off I go for Attempt #2 -
On the new CoT and council......the good and bad so far.
Carnifax replied to DrunkFlux's topic in General Discussion
Acc is a multiplier to your final ToHit as well. So even popping a few won't make a huge difference if you're at like 6% ToHit At 50 one thing I find really useful on my Rad Tank for dealing with Cascades is Ageless Radial. That's my "I'm sick of these red numbers" button. Gives you a breather and lets you reset (and move if needed) and gives the debuff stack time to wear off. -

I'm going to admit my dense-ness here. How does one store enhancements in a base? I tried a few weeks ago but couldn't figure it out at all. -

Then you drop the diff surely? If your team is mostly made up of pre-twenties why are you running +3/4x8? Just drop the notch and pull them out of the Purple Patch range. As a lowbie player who has joined 54 PI teams not being able to contribute and watching someone solo em isn't a lot of fun personally (takes me back to the bad old TankHerding days). I quite like the fact we have things like Sorcerers / Paragon Protectors which the Control folk can nullify, Blasters who can mow down the chaff and Stalkers & Scrappers who can delete bosses. I've found both groups to be fine on teams. Solo my Ice / Stone Stalker can be murdered by the new CoT if I'm not paying attention. The Tank will find NuCouncil a slog. But with 8 people on a PuG team I've not noticed a huge difference. You'll nearly always have a kryptonite on characters. My Fire tank will deflate against lots of Psi damage. Stone Stalker is great until a load of Rad attacks do mean things or I stand in stacked Quicksand. Rad / MA Tank will be slooooooow against bosses who rez or turn into something else. But most teams will counter / help with that, and if they don't just drop the diff a notch. -

And it doesn't take too much time. I happily spend 20-30 mins of an afternoon doing this in batches of 30 and making about 70-100 million on the batch I'm not loaded but I can easily slot out my characters using this method. All my TF merits go into this (discovered during the week that a char I basically just use for Tinplexes was sitting on 900 merits). Convert the merits into the Hero thingies (50 merits = 1), mail them to myself, switch to my Kin crafter, nab them, convert them back to merits, buy converters and start craft-converting yellow recipes. -
Hey folks Been messing with this for about a week after "finishing" my Ice/Stone stalker. Basically got 3 characters on the go and trying to decide which to level (this, a Water/Trick Arrow Corruptor and an Arsenal / Elec Controller). Concept / costume wise this might be the winner ("What if the Clockwork King binge-watched Lord of the Rings one weekend?" : Grimli Gearsmasher was born). Plus holstered Axe with Page 7 looks excellent. I shamelessly nicked it from someone's Shield / Stone build further down in the forum and have been messing around. Really want to keep Fold Space, I don't have a Tank yet where I've managed to fit it in, so Hasten & Epic pool go bye bye (I remember from my Shield stalker how Shield is pretty much "Take everything", even OWTS is handy given the 70% s/l/e/n resists to stack off) but since Shield needs Active Defence on autocast not to cut up about losing Hasten. Slightly worried AD won't be perma double stacked for the DDR but hey. I also remember how thirsty Shield is from my Stalker so tried to cover it. Feedback welcome. Tanker (Shield - Battle Axe).mbd

The second part is REALLY important. On the LGTF doesn't matter how buffed you are, those neural bubbles will mess you up. That was my main, chastening lesson, along with "Don't decide to be the Rad Tank on a 1 star LGTF while playing in the study on a SteamDeck over a glitchy WiFi signal" So. Many. Lag. Deaths.
-
Ew. How old are you? Was that necessary? I'm not trying to upset you, just if there's a build of stuff I know (like Ice / Nature) I'll comment on it. Like I'd expect in return (without the childish crap of course)
-
It does LESS damage per animation. You can cast Freeze Ray & Bitter Ice Blast, do way more damage, still have them held and have 1/2 a second left over to start something else.
-
So does Freeze Ray, that's my point. FR does everything BFR does, but faster, yet you skipped it.
-
Replace Bitter Freeze Ray with Freeze Ray, the DPA is much better thanks to a 1s cast time compared to 2.5 seconds. Bitter Ice Blast and Freeze Ray are the top single target powers in Ice in terms of DPA, BFR is a trap.

What are the most team-friendly Mastermind builds?
Carnifax replied to ScarlettStorm's topic in Mastermind
Lots of masterminds don't seem to understand this I've noticed recently. Twas the way back when Redside went live, we were all non-IOed lowbies so Minions ate the alpha, Brute and Domis would then control the aggro. Usually you've someone happy to take the alpha and it's fine but I've been on teams where we're all squishy and we're all looking at each other thinking "So who is jumping in 1st", including a swarm of bots / thugs / zombies. Send in the clowns non-clown minions. Hell just send one (I had a specific ctrl-click bind to send one unlucky Zombie to a specific position for this purpose, then I'd raise a ghostie from him). -
God I love that room. But I temper my approach according to what I'm playing and who I'm with. But just going ham in there is so much fun. If I'm a well built mid 30s and with folk I know I'm zerging it.
-
This is me too. I'll look over the Last 5 prices and stick a price lower than most but higher than anything that looks like a lowball fulfilling. Some stuff (LOTG) is reasonably static and I'm happy with 4,600,000 or more (usually it'll end up going for 5-6). Other stuff like Kinetic Combats and Reactive Defences can vary by a lot. I've seen them go for 1.5 million or 4 million. Literally today I just insta-sold a Numina unique for 7.77 million. Meanwhile the other 2 I crafted are sitting at 2.8 mill when I logged off before the downtime. Market be cray cray.
-
Correct. Any pet which explodes and doesn't leave a pseudopet behind won't trigger procs. So Seekers & Trip Mine : nope Poison Gas Trap : Hell yes
-
Most of my sig contains builds I rarely play. Although some like the Fire / Nature Corruptor get dragged out for specific TFs (Fire / Nature is my Tinplex specialist). This is why all my builds have a cheap / midranged price build (which I build as I go from 22 up) and then a final build with purples & winters and stuff. Fairly rare that a 50 gets the Purps + Winters upgrade, although I admitted an Ice/Stone stalker to that roster a few weeks ago. Most of the time I'll rejig them slightly, maybe add 1-2 purples and upgrade their ATOs and they're good.
