So, going thru doing an every contact while leveling and noted you did it. Found that Rachel Torres gives missions at level 2, but does hold off on a few missions once you hit level 5. (Escort Missing Homeless, and beating up Lost in KR)

I'd say Performance Shifter +End winds up on all my chars, usually with the End Mod one in Stamina for the move bonus Often enough Miracle, Numina, Panacea, Preventive Medicine in various spots if I think about it. Overwhelming Force almost always gets six slotted somewhere for the KB _> knockdown, etc... ATs without KB protection get some form of KB defense. LotG gets thrown into areas where I feel like it. (often in 1 slot powers like stealth) I think I have one char that has five of them. I'm also in the Set Bonus over Procs camp.

I have my own Fire/Temp, but went with Mace Mastery though I used to do Flame. (I miss Rise of the Phoenix) This definitely could use work, but is good enough to get thru most content. I only go into Melee range for Inferno now. Duke : The lights are growing dim Otto. I know a life of crime has led me to this sorry fate, and yet, I blame society. Society made me what I am. Otto : That's bullshit. You're a white suburban punk just like me.

Yep. I have chars that are tuned to eat most content, but I have a bunch that have issues with +0/+0. The game CAN be very easy once you invest inf & time in a character, but let the casual players do their thing.

Seismic Blast's Meteor: how are you utilizing it?

Huh. I didn't note Reese or BV noting me. I'll have to recheck maybe... Cleopatra's body was one of the few I noticed changed.
-
What I really miss with my Praetorian Characters are the later incarnate missions where contacts have zero clue who you are now.

I finally went thru and redid my original char from live that while it was one of the first redone for HC, was only running around with generic IOs. Super Vixen originally from Justice a fire/fire/fire blaster morphed into a fire/time/mace blaster. (before the kitting out, fire/time/fire) Figured out that I wanted mainly to have decent recharge, damage, and highish defense. Mids decided not to play nice and I'm still figuring it out anyway, so went to just using the hcwiki and trying out a few things on Beta. I'm 99% certain I could improve it, but I'm pretty happy with the result. I'm back to being able to pull large groups with Rain of Fire and blowing stuff up. Though I kinda miss having Rise of the Phoenix in the attack chain. Oh, and I run all my stuff on Linux, though I'm going to have to get a new comp this year. My main is acting up, and I need the graphics power to run photo editing.

I worked in the corporate field from the 80s on. It's amazing what code is out there in the wild. It would turn you gray. From a personal standpoint, I had a project that I built to do a major link of automated testing for a company. They got me to do another project and I left it in the hands of someone else. Two years later, I went back to my old project with more experience and knew there were areas to improve on. Found out, the guy who I had left it with was so afraid of breaking it, he did very little to it and just tacked on bits here and there. I wound up fixing a bunch of actual issues with it and wound up speeding it up a lot. Though never did get to finish the DB version of it. Compared to the code of the companies main product, my code was easy to read and modify...

One of my favorite characters is a Bio/fire tank. Is it a high performer? Not really, but not bad. A little squishier than a couple of my other tanks though iirc, I still have some sets to slot into it on the defense side, but normally if I pay attention, she's unkillable. I do have Overwhelming Force & Avalanche slotted in attacks, so the occasional knockdown helps and with Bio, the regen is normally more than sufficient to mitigate incoming damage. And yes, more fire swords would be nice.

Lady Jane, I tend to blow past her group and start back from the chest clearing everything which makes it much easier. Though I did it recently and noticed she wasn't as agro oriented. Maybe her per was tuned down? That's my usual pattern for hostages that fight. Get rid of anything between them and the entrance. On ones where you lead someone out without having to fight, I will occasionally turn on walk and saunter to the exit. Works well with stalkers even...

General Feedback: Issue 27, Page 3
lemming replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Usually someone has done the leg work in the Badges forum. -
Might depend on when and the how the extra XP for more difficulty takes place. Try at +0 to double check. (Of course, other variable is number of teammates, dayjobs, a few others...)
-
Yea, I've got a few different super groups at different level ranges for storage. I think the Liberators has the more logical setup at this point, though they're pretty equivalent in function. If I do another, I might make it slightly smaller. Bug-17462 for tours
-
On the Dayjobs, there are definite Lore reasons for a lot of them to not work as written currently, but it would be easy to add a Praetorian version of the same badge, just like the ones you get when you switch from Blue to Red. Same basic badge, different name and description.
-
I learned something today. I did just check and didn't get the Commuter Dayjob Icon in the Talos Tram station, but it did appear in the Atlas Halloween one. Currently logged my Praetorian out in the Winter Store. (In about a week, hope to get up to 17 Dayjobs for her...)
-
I have a couple characters that also have their Praetorian counterparts running around. A lot of my characters that have a history have redemption arcs. I also have a bunch of characters that are modified forms of PnP RPG chars (Champions) In my head canon, there's a shattered timeline to explain away the ability of so many chars to have done the same missions. (Some chars are aware, others, not so much)
-
I vote for a "Middle of Road" badge for getting the mid spot(s) on a full trial. (So 4 & 5 on DFB)
-
Even on live they were never exact. It would be interesting to look up the code for the logic to see if it's the same logic with the various clone arcs including Posi 1.
-
I find that if I have the Badges Tab open while working on River Rat, I can tell when I've hit the marker properly. (I also try to avoid the heck out of them if I'm not going for the badge at the time, so I don't waste time swimming in circles later)
-
I love my Meteor. I found on an ITF it works well for knocking everything into the cliff face where they all just slide back down into a nice pile. (well, those that survive)
-
A max level character has never been my goal
lemming replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion
I play all my alts to 50 eventually since there's different synergy depending on what power choices happen. Almost all get a respec at 50. If I really want to play them more, I'll outfit them with sets, if they're OK, generic IOs, not sure, they're still waiting on that respec. Of course, I also have my spreadsheet of chars where I'm slowing filling in their various stat accolades, etc...
