  1. Jacke is more up to the code than most. And yes, it would be nice if we could use email, but the way it's currently structured, not going to happen. Design limitations that were baked in early in the game. You can see what a janky system it is by how some parts act funny when you try to pull char items from the email system too quickly. I do think the only way to make this work currently is to have sets of convertible salvage for bundles. So far, we just have the 1-50 for Reward & Empyrean Merits. I think bundles for account bound items are a better priority. The alt account transfer is really the easiest current way to do this. That's how I move stuff between servers and chars myself.
  2. Yea, it would be terrible for the LW trial to be a random choice between original and current. I'm fine with the new one. With MoM, it's why the nightmare farm is run now six times now that it's a guarantee of getting the badge with that number of runs. In my runs before, lowest number one of my chars did was 9 and one had to run 21 times. Others reported even more. Huge improvement. Same logic was used in the Manticore Wedding.
  3. I like it with my Regen/SS tank. Knocking mobs over with a couple slots gives the regen time to catchup sometimes. Haven't decided on how it will look post this patch, but I'm liking UM over Rage for it.
  4. Some bugs are more annoying to fix. Some things can get fixed in one place, some need a thorough look thru a lot of different places. And most of the devs are taking December off.
  5. I suspect 10k (or 9999) might be the limit. Honestly, a sack or something for transferring salvage would be a nice thing, but I don't think it would be an easy coding task compared to making a Hero Merit like thing for each salvage.
  6. I screwed around with Bio on little on retail beta, but I was never much for optimized builds anyway. Bio right now is pretty strong and I think one of things making it less popular was the ugliness. Making the stances matter isn't a bad goal, but I haven't checked it out due to other reasons. And disdain for the retail devs? I think that can be taken with a grain of salt. As a former developer, there's a lot of other factors. Having to work on someone else's code, marketing direction, having work farmed out to 3rd parties, and having to make it all work. I think there were a lot of bad design decisions baked into the codebase, some of which might have been some inexperience. That this 20+ year old code is still working well is a bit remarkable and that there are improvements, great! Current devs, I have some differences in opinion on, but for the most part they have a better organization with code management and are working on CoH because they like it.

  8. Possibly. The windows may be constructed with a transparent version of whatever the surgical curtains in the hospitals are made from.
  9. On WL, there are a few people running it on occasion. I've been too mentally exhausted to run them myself. Maybe later this week. BNY, I tend to just run those solo since they're easy. And not even needing uber builds though I'll sometimes have a second account for support (and Mark & Recall). I've helped a couple people though. The Zoe TF is set as a weekly for a few more weeks. It's a fun one and gives a D-Sync, takes an hour if you're hitting all the badges, so yea, it's gonna be run.
  10. I tweaked my farms to make sure they got full payout and the reward is +25%. While editing my mobs, I did see some were not showing 100% when I slid my level to 50, so fixing that was a good thing anyway. Functionally, I didn't change a thing on my farmers, but they weren't optimized in the first place. Seems I get best results on my AFK version of the farms since it definitely takes longer to whittle everything down and I just occasionally switch to the next mission.

  13. Likely the reason is to keep people from just having characters getting easy access to rewards from high payout arcs. I suppose the abuse would be: 1) Have Char A from Account Z in the AE arc 2) Have Char B from Account Y invited 3) Switch Char A to Char C and have Char B invite 4) Profit! (or something) Of course, if this completes the arc for Char A, probably not as big a deal, but since it's a large reward for some of the longer arcs, having someone come in just for the last mission and get the full reward is probably not wanted. So, if this was enabled, they'd probably make it so only the team lead got the merit reward for the arc.

  15. When I could use Mids, I tended to just use it to look at builds anyway. I test out builds on the open beta server a lot though.
  16. Yes. Sounds like you're still calling the older version though. Note that menus go by the internal menu name, not the file name, so if there's an older version with the line Menu "BadgeSetList", you may be calling it. Did you install it via the citymod program at any point?

  18. Some people don't want to invite from tells, but from broadcast to make sure the person is in zone first. Though that should be in the lfg announcement
  19. Probably the same reason the candy keeper wasn't in the winter village at first. Dang, and it's not an easy jump into the village either, so it's the guy in the lodge on the ski slopes Village isn't populated either
  20. Faultline just changed it since on some monitors it runs together.
  21. Not middle of the train, middle of the hospital car. While I appreciate the want to make a separate room more immersive, this just gets rid of that step and having to click on another item.
  22. Didn't find any more numbers, but did find the comfiest couch. (And the second comfiest) Lot's of little bits of info in there. There are some clicks here and there in the TF, but I don't recall any other numbers. May need to do a close inspection run of this and maybe Aeon. Or this might be a wild goose chase.
  23. There's a path from the cave to the west that works for me and you can go straight up that cliff after the second pond (just before the bridge) and BNY can come up that. And yes, stealth messes that up as well. Mark & Recall on the other hand is wonderful for this mission.
  24. I just realized why I was popping into the hospital dead yesterday. Playing a regen tanker, I rezzed while still off the train. 😄 I don't think we need a separate room, but maybe tossed onto the car in the middle might work, then if you want to self rez, you can, or just pop into the med bay, or in the case of self rez that you don't have control over, you wouldn't immediately be krunched again.
