I played in beta, and really the only nostalgic bit is just the newness of being able to play a super.
Of course, the sheer buginess of everything was apparent too. Especially when certain bugs kept popping up which made me concerned about their source control. (Just in comparison, HC seems to have to organized much better)
On ED, I remember it and being semi-annoyed that I had to reslot a couple things. I also understood why. (Heck, anyone who GM'd champions was used to having to rein in exploitive builds)
On the suggestion of ignoring ED for SOs, glancing at the code, it "might" not be that difficult, but seems like a wasted effort to add another game balance variable.
