  1. Been playing the heck out of my Rad/Rad Brute lately after a lot of tanker play. Things I've noted: Very survivable, can even take on some content in the Labyrinth solo. I do have to pay attention more than with my tankers. While teamed one friend asked if I was OK and my answer was "Maybe". My health was bouncing all over the place, but I never dropped. And I've been having a lot of fun with this build. hmm, typed the above some time ago. In the meantime, I decided to try out a MA/Rad Scrapper and found that the lack of resistance was telling. More DPS, but the survivability was no where near the Rad/Rad Brute. So started up a MA/Rad Brute to see. So far, lots of fun which really is how I gauge stuff anyway.
  2. That's my feeling. I have a bunch of scrappers and yea, occasional runners happen, but they just die tired.
  3. I settled on a Sentinel for Storm Blast. The AT is pretty casual, and so is Storm. I still get some debuffs in and help in non-flashy ways if on a team, and solo, no problem.
  4. I did a Storm/Dark Sentinel named Little Black Cloud, purely for the cosmetics. The attached build needs work, but I can float into most combats and stuff melts. Not necessarily very quickly, but fast enough. And the debuffs, etc tend to help any team. Not the most exciting character, but they are relaxing. (btw, the electricity is just a path aura. I did have the Electric Epic at one point, but it didn't add much) lbc_curr.txt
  5. They haven't been discounted for a couple years now. Last year they were discounted at 10m was 2021, while 2022 they were 15m, with an announcement that I'm not finding that that was the last year for any discount. Here's a long discussion from 2022 though...
  6. Most mission maps, but only for the last glowie. I did take a quick look at the mod list and there are sound changes for glowies, but didn't see one that may make the glow brighter. (Not even sure if that is feasible in a mod since that may collide with other effects) Voltor suggested a distance queue for GMs (like the Halloween GM) which could help. A directional arrow or distance, or both would be a nice add since I often have the game volume turned down low. Will have to take another look at demorecord and see if it can still be parsed for blinky locations
  7. Yea, I have a circuit figured out that works well. I haven't done any this year yet, but it's usually my thing while waiting for SG mates.
  8. I don't do increase the size of the spawn since there's usually enough snowmen while doing the toy collector, but it's usually close enough. Though I did test out my Rad brute at +4/x8 to get a friend some extra XP.
  9. Scrooge is just the red side version of the Holiday Spirit Badge.
  10. Pretty certain that Global Badges are something of a pain to implement. And having to log each char in, means safety from a name release. (Assuming level 6+)
  11. I get what I consider the core badges which for me are the ones you get via Father Time. Then if I have time I get the other non-purchased ones with Toy Collector being the last one. 200 is a drag even when I have it down quick, it's still around an hour. I do tend to have an Alt follow me. It's a Robot MM that guns down the spawns so I don't have to waste time on them.
  12. Heh. I started looking into that myself due to complexities of my own sheets. (haven't found what I want to work with yet)
  13. I played in beta, and really the only nostalgic bit is just the newness of being able to play a super. Of course, the sheer buginess of everything was apparent too. Especially when certain bugs kept popping up which made me concerned about their source control. (Just in comparison, HC seems to have to organized much better) On ED, I remember it and being semi-annoyed that I had to reslot a couple things. I also understood why. (Heck, anyone who GM'd champions was used to having to rein in exploitive builds) On the suggestion of ignoring ED for SOs, glancing at the code, it "might" not be that difficult, but seems like a wasted effort to add another game balance variable.
  14. Yea, the cooldown is a pain, but the chars I'm running thru can do a couple other things while there's a recharge. The Lady mission just for starters.
  15. Huh, I find either event easy enough to beat Snaptooth. I mean I suppose the leading out the ugly baby can be painful, but this year you can use Mark & Recall and avoid the hostage lead.
  16. It's common with the Holiday/Anniversary badges. I think the badge is awarded before announcements can happen since it's just given the moment you are logged in with the character, while most other badges you'd get on login (dayjob for example) need to check progress.
  17. You did not. Like I mentioned, I'm not a Windows user. You supplied the game log which showed the game starting and exiting. System log might give us more of a clue.
  18. I'd doubt it. Still need to find out the error message for why the program gets shutdown which would be in a system log (I think)
  19. There are some tip missions tied to certain zones, but most will show in the zone you are in.
  20. There are repeatable missions in the PvP zones as well. And iirc, they scale up to your level, but pretty sure it's a limited foe selection.
  21. No repeats on AT & powersets, but I do have some repeated powerset combos across ATs. And usually I'll just keep one of those after playing around with them to see which one I like best.
  22. It was a good group. People just seemed to know what they were doing with little instructions.
  23. I think when that was written was before it was available via RV for a level 1
  24. Hmm, wonder if there's some operation that runs at night that uploads security footage?
