  1. A "Read This Before Posting!" sticky with the whole post should about cover that, yeah? Maybe with a few words from other GMs to flesh it out? Something that could be linked to quickly by the community in the event that someone inadvertently makes a contentious proposal without bringing any meat to the table would be very helpful.
  2. I wouldn't get my hopes up. Unless the game is monetized to the point where the dev team can/will quit their day jobs AND hire minions we are never going to see the levels of development that existed prior to sunset. Right now it's easy to keep things running. They only need 4k a month to keep the lights on. You add a monthly salary to that for 5 devs (I don't how big the HC team is) and you're instantly going to 25k a month if they are willing to work cheap. (That's a number significantly below the average game dev salary per Glassdoor and if I had the skill to be a game dev I wouldn't sell my services to anyone for that much below market value) Do you think donations in the amount of about 1k a day are going to happen? I don't. That means they will have to generate revenue. From what? I honestly don't believe advertising will cut it. They will have to switch to a pay to play model, whether via subs or MTX. If you assume there are 5k people willing to pay a sub fee of 5$ a month, you might be able to get there. But I think that numbers a little high maybe. So more likely a mesh of a sub model and MTX's. But the MTX's are going to need a hook. Costume parts aren't going to put food on anybodies table. (can you imagine the drama??) That's for a 5 man team with almost absurdly low salary. And a 5 man team isn't going to be pumping out any kind of content, even on full time hours. So... Don't get your hopes up about a steady stream of new content. I think we are going to see mostly upgrades and improvements to current content. Maybe another new TF or 2, maybe some better arcs, MAYBE something happening in KW. I'd be very very surprised if there was ever a new zone, or any new feature content at all.
  3. The Alpha powers already add an SO worth of enhancements that bypass a portion of ED. Why is more needed? Where's the problem that this solves?

  5. I got it on CD, the only thing I had to download were the updates prior to I1, I think it was the day after the first purple patch. Went from a door mission to perez park and that was all she wrote.
  6. Heck, we could use the OG TV respec, just replace the Sky Raiders with Malta/Knives and throw in an AV or 2 in the last phase. Locked in at +4, of course.
  7. You want 2 slots, both with recharge enhancers boosted to +5. That gives you the same buff as 3 even level recharge reducers.

  9. I am against the 1st, 2cnd and 3rd and 4th etc changes. There needs to be no change made. At all.
  10. I really do feel you on this, but you can tune up a 50 on the test server pretty fast. One session will tell you if you like the toon or not and the effort needed to get from the CC to a kitted out 50 really is minimal. I'm not a huge fan of the content below 32 but I feel like I get through it plenty fast enough. I don't run task forces except for the occasional Yin/Market Crash and I don't do a whole lot of radio missions solo. I mostly find street mobs or hit a few non-farm arcs set with specific mobs I like to fight on specific maps (like Tsoo or Warriors in ship maps or Croatoa) and I spend a bit of time running Ouro. From 32 on up through 38 I like to take my time while the build matures and then blow through the earlier 40's to about 45 and slow down again. The pace of what we have right now is very suitable to a lot of playstyles. I can't see buffing xp gain for the sake of buffing xp gain.
  11. At 50 use +5, two of them. I generally 3 slot it and respec the slot out.
  12. I didn't read any of that. What I read were a bunch of ideas bandied about and supported by rhetoric. I read a bunch of posts with theoretical numbers that got mashed by other posts with realistic numbers. I read a bunch of posts about subjective "Role" of the AT that were met with rebuttal. And I read a bunch of rhetoric about the changes on beta which are dismissed in 15 minutes of actual play. In other words....a discussion. The goal here is to make the AT better with the most efficient use of the resources available. What the team is doing meets that goal. The team is clearly open to those ideas because multiple requests to focus this thread on the thread title and move the "Here's my idea" posts to another thread were not implemented and the person in charge of the changes replied to quite a few points brought up. Many many pages of discussion about every idea. You should bad for this bit of melodrama. It serves no purpose and is patently false. It makes you look like a butthurt whiner and immediately makes the rest of your post not worth reading.
  13. There is no issue with that. The issue is with being forced to slot for global recharge to make up for the loss of the Hasten buff. There are two possibilities with this 1) You were going to slot in that 70% Global anyway because you want to close recharge gap on 1 or 2 specific powers or effects and now you can't because you need another 70% recharge to make it happen. 2) You weren't going to slot that global recharge because Hasten gave you what you wanted, so you were going to slot for defense or damage via procs or global accuracy or whatever, and now you can't because you need the slots for global recharge. Either way, by imposing the loss of the current structure, everyone who wants the 70% recharge is screwed.
  14. The threas is about nerfing Hasten. I understand you can get global recharge with sets. But if I want to use those slots for something else them this proposed change nerfs the 38 seconds on inferno which means I have no choice but to slot recharge. Why is that better?
  15. No, my bad. 90% resist does.
  16. Your mistake is looking at the effect on only one power. And the recharge buff to Inferno isn't 2 second from Hasten, it's 38 seconds.
  17. Softcap mitigates 95% of damage. Resist cap mitigates 95% of damage. Defense is more important for toons with low hit points and no mez resist. If you can cap both, that's great. Priority should be a minimum of 45% defense, then whatever you can get in resist, but honestly I'd go recharge after defense instead of resist. Going to 50% defense in lieu of 5% more resist I think would be a better choice unless you avoid icontent (I pretty much do, but only because I don't care enough about it to try it)

  19. Why are you so invested in this change that a disagreement from internet strangers demoralizes you? It isn't broken and it doesn't need fixing. Some people are passionate about that, more passionate than you are about changing it. If you want to change a core feature of the game...something that's been around since Day 1...you better have a really good argument on why it's broken and you better have a really good idea on how to fix it. So far...and I say this with respect...you haven't provided either. You made an unsubstantiated claim and followed up with a pair of overly complicated fixes that don't...in your own words...actually change anything. You just have to fiddle with crap more. I like my 2 slotted Hasten just fine, tyvm. You haven't even scratched the surface of convincing me that there's a problem that you have the solution for.
  20. I could see something in IO's. LotG Global recharge: If Hasten 7.5% global if not Hasten 9.5% recharge. Same with every set recharge bonus would be ok with me. Let people build to hasten levels if they don't want to take one power.
