  1. @Faultline I commend and thank you for making all of these available so far, but I do have to ask the following, are these enemies planned for release in AE also? Axis American: The Reichsman (Level 40-54) Devouring Earth (Praetorian): Avatar of Hamidon (Level 50-54) not the Monster Avatar, the Elite-Boss/Arch-Villain version (the weaker avatar that appears in Number Six's arc) Lanaru the mad (Level 40-50) Also, Are there any plans to release the destroyed Imperial City map, and the map with the seeds of Hamidon hovering above along with the avatar stomping around Imperial? There's also the current maps of Atlas Park which are not available in AE (Namely the one in the Positron Task Force), is that one slated for release later?
  2. Thank @GraspingVileTerror I figured there was a multi-pronged method to avoid disaster :)
  3. If I may chime in on AWS, I believe that service should be avoided at all costs. Never really been a fan of Amazon, and despite the problem that surfaced with OVH and the mystery packet loss that has somehow gone away (Metronome defenses kicked in? 😛 ), I can get behind the logic of going with OVH. The second Item I'd like to inquire about is, has an offline backup of all data and everything securely been made just in case we have an realworld Rularuu, Rikti or Nemesis type event? Making all that progress only to have it go poof would prove to be discouraging after almost 2 years.
  4. While playing Pandora's box, and getting ambushed by Belladonna Vetrano of Primal Earth (Ghost Widow), Arbiter Sands, and Nocturne whilst saving James Harvan; I came across this dialogue bug... Then there's a grammar error in the TPN Plaque "None shall silent" should be "None shall silence" Then there's this grammar error from a Numina TF I think, I reckon Numina must have eaten a bad batch of tacos 😛 lol, should read "Smoke and Sulfur" since this takes place in Rhode Island Sorry it took this long to post, life sort of happened
  5. Let's get creative, maybe Mot has already become aware of the existence of Night Ward, and the Banished Pantheon are already trying to break through that barrier, maybe the Circle of Thorns has also begun making inroads into Night Ward. Maybe when Diabolique died, her death opened a rift from which the dark energy of Dark Astoria has begun to seep through into Night Ward, and maybe even RUULARU and his Rulu-Shin have shown interest in Night Ward. Hell, let's even say that one of the doors in the Cavern of Transcendence leads to Night Ward's underground tunnels, tunnels that even the Drudges, Guides, and even the Dark Knights as well as Montague and the Midnight Masters are watching like Hawks to make sure nothing emerges. Let's make a new set of Apparitions level 44-54 that somehow also start seeping into Dark Astoria and Night Ward, and are causing problems. Let's also add a Atlas Park Night Ward using the Halloween zone minus the trick or treat stuff, and add some missions... Just a thought :)
  6. I'd like to see powersets along these lines: Controllers: Weapons Control: You make use of immobilization weapons to disable or incapacitate your enemies (could make use of a Sapper gun) Wind Control: You use the power of the winds to toss and trap your enemies in a high speed vortex Dominators: Weapons Assault (Rifle-Jutsu or Bayonet Bojutsu) Small Arms Assault (Gun-Fu) Blasters (Archetype): Plasma Blaster: You have a plasma gun which you use to fire shots at your enemies with a vast array of firing modes, you're able to fire devastating blasts at your enemies. Dual Blasters: You wield two plasma blasters which you use to vaporize your foes. Powered Armor: You have come into the possession of a power armor equipped with an array of different weapons, ranging from gauntlet fired missiles, shoulder missiles, and powerful devastating gadgets. Mastermind Paladin Summoning: You are a master of ancient medieval combat, you summon archers, lancers, longsword knights and Paladins to your aid Infested Summoning: As a devouring earth lifeform with links to the Hamidon, you summon local enemy groups that have been infected with spores to fight under your command AE Again, we need certain apocalyptic maps (destroyed nova and other destroyed praetorian maps), Tyrant, and other unavailable mega-bosses, as well as some of the powersets that are available on the live game but not on AE *cough* Psionic Melee *cough* Just some thoughts...
  7. I've had to give up partaking on the larger CC's, as its impossible to even move past the first round, let alone an honorable mention or winning, so I've entirely given up on that front. Some love for Mercs and Sentinels would be awesome, and enabling some devastated Praetorian landscape maps to create apocalyptic story arcs would also be awesome.
  8. This is mine: The Famous XClio A380-Plus Powered by this solid machine: Then there is this particular experimental machine loaded with Fedora Server 32, and with which I'm still unable to quite succeed in loading the CoH Client, it's got 32GB of RAM (not much for nowadays, but better than a 16GB machine), its a Proliant DL365G5 with an AMD Opteron 2352 For monitors, I keep it simple, a 1907FP Dell Monitor will do just fine, nothing fancy and it works
  9. I already had some ideas myself 🙂 Urban Interrogator Urban Warden Commando (Former Resistance) Hamidon Proof/Hamibuster Tactical Urban Defense Force (UDF) As a matter of a fact I am working on a concept storyarc in AE titled "The New Initiative" which involves a Paragon City Police Chief sending you on a mission into a Devouring Earth Overrun Nova Praetoria just before Emperor Cole launches a nuke, and sends you to rescue key people for his "New Initiative to get tough against the 5th Column and The Council" which have plundered Praetorian Tech and are working on creating the enemy group called "UPA" that you will hear about later.
  10. He tried... TWICE I might add, and both times he failed miserably... And the gigantic Avatar of Hamidon couldn't handle the sheer number of incarnates... Neither Cole nor Hamidon are immortal, hard to eliminate? Yes, but not Immortal, hell, EVEN LORD RECLUSE isn't immortal and doesn't want to test the limits of his vulnerability.... Lest he ends up like Praetorian Richter...
  11. I got a few enemy groups I can think of to have added to Hazard Zones when you hit level 50: In the Hollows: Mutated Destroyers and Super Trolls Duking it out for control, Praetorian Devouring Earth, Unified People's Army (UPA), Longbow Defense Force (those Imperial Defense Troopers loyal to Provost Marchand join forces with Longbow), Vanguard Special Forces (several D.U.S.T. troopers still loyal to Marchand augment Vanguard), Paragon Police Warden Division (made up of Former Warden Resistance Commandos, Forlorn Troopers now equipped with Primal Gear, and Several Deputized Carnival of Light members, as well as former T.E.S.T. personnel), Unified Tsoo Syndicate Forces (Several Syndicate escape from Praetoria and join up with the Tsoo), Carnival of Vengeance, Black Knights. In Perez Park: Banished Pantheon with Ravagers and other dark beings, Rulu-Shin, Combination of Infested Nemesis, Paragon Police, Vahzilok, Ghouls, and Hydra, Combination of Apparitions and Ghosts (After a new vortex opens up in the sky of Perez Park), Arachnos, Family Mooks, Syndicate In Boomtown: Unified People's Army, Family Mooks, Devouring Earth (both Primal and Praetorian), Talons of Vengeance, Awakened, Hamidon Infested Outcasts and Skulls... I can think of more, but I'm sure you get the idea 🙂
  12. Someone quoted Goldside, There's one taskforce that was removed early in the game, then brought back in Ouroboros, but still removed physically. Which one I'm I referring to? I'm referring to the one and only "Calvin Scott Task Force". I honestly do believe its about time that this one gets a small facelift, along with the model used for the Primal Calvin Scott. In addition to having you familiarize yourself with Aurora Borealis and Sister Psyche's situation, there should be another familiarizing you with the Praetorian Calvin Scott, Praetorian Aurora, and Mother Mayhem. The second part of the Calvin Task Force could take place right before the Marchand arc, where the Praetorian Calvin Scott is brought over, deal with the council's plans for him. The taskforce should be brought back to its original location in Independence Port where it originally was... Here's what I think an updated model of the Primal Calvin Scott should look like.
  13. My suggestion is directed more @Piecemeal in regards to The Graveyard Shift and The Freakish Lab of Dr Vahzilok arcs. Since these two arcs take place somewhere between level 20-26 (I think it's 26, but not sure) and Praetorians (Goldsiders) leave at level 20, is there a possibility to tweak Dr Pierce and the FBSA Agent's dialogue with a choice to reference the player's Goldside origin or ask the player, or even mention something like "You don't appear to be from this dimension... where are you really from?" or have the player make a comment that gives away his Goldside origin? Is it also possible for the Resistance/TEST Loyalist Portal Keepers to provide the player some information about Dr Vahzilok (If going Redside), or The FBSA Agent (If going Blueside) arc before crossing the portal rift into Primal Earth? And is there also a way to somehow add a reference to Dr Vasilikos from Praetoria? Just a thought...
  14. I would like to add the following: There are A VAST AMOUNT of Geographical Areas NEVER EVER mentioned in the Number Six Arc, and many folks automatically fall under the impression that Hamidon decimated ALL of Praetorian Earth... Since they are not mentioned at all IT IS UNSAFE to surmise that "EVERY SINGLE" Geographical location was wiped out by the devouring earth. Hamidon is not all-powerful, and the Night Ward Arc with Lamashtu proved that there are MUCH MORE powerful entities than Hamidon, it also proved that Night Ward's Darkness could have somehow enveloped certain Regions of the world. NOTHING is ever mentioned about Praetorian Earth's World War II Events, European Campaigns and Pacific Campaigns, ALL OF THAT was left out creating plot holes, including the south pole. What happened to Praetoria's 5th Column and or Fascists?! (nothing is ever mentioned) What about the Eastern front?! All we are left with is that Nukes were used during the Korean War, and THAT is where the timeline starts diverging between Primal and Praetorian Earth (OR DOES IT? Maybe events in history happened A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY to begin with!) That's the BEAUTY about Praetorian Earth! Not much was developed, and nothing was done to fill in the gaps. I am a firm believer that WHATEVER IS NOT MENTIONED in Number Six's Arc has SURVIVED, and that large pockets of survivors probably exist because either they were enveloped of the Darkness of Night Ward (or maybe a dark magical entity capable of counteracting the hamidon) or maybe several regions developed potent enough defenses that they were able to keep the Hamidon at bay. I'm NOT going to mention which Geographical locations were not mentioned (or are missing), I'm sure more than enough folks can sort out which ones were and weren't mentioned. I also believe that since certain regions weren't mentioned, then it IS SAFE to surmise that Hamidon was unable to COMPLETELY wipe out all of civilization, therefore a significant portion of Praetorian Earth CAN be salvaged and recoverable.
  15. I also vote HELL NO on harder mode (no need for it) Time to finish polishing the incarnate system (Vitae, Omega and all those other abilities that never got implemented) Time to dust off the unused "Praetorian PvP Zone" that I saw in PChat and start finding a way to implement it (falls under new content) Time to start adding some additional Goldside arcs that mirror some of the Primal arcs Implement the coming of the Devouring Earth in First Ward, tying some of the NPCs from the earlier arcs to inform the player of malfunctions in the sonic fence, then an eventual onslaught which requires the arrival of Vanguard and Freedom Corps into Praetoria to start evacuating folks out and close the gap between the iTrials and some of the other arcs that came later. Work in making Praetoria SALVAGEABLE , there's a LOT of regions not mentioned in the Number Six arc (I'm not going to mention any of them, as folks should know which ones I'm referring to), which leaves the possibility that such regions had some kind of protection, were able to turn back the Devouring Earth, or they were enveloped in the darkness of Night Ward, therefore creating large pockets of survivors (or a severe threat that Hamidon greatly underestimated and will later come back to bite him later). That whole "Its safe to surmise that Hami destroyed everything" fallacy just won't do it for me, Hamidon is NOT all-powerful, and there HAS to be a stronger entity which could be capable of either greatly weakening or completely eradicating Hami. Tweak the primal Calvin Scott's background some, give him some kind of combat skills (security guard, pistols training, or even a Police Officer) and expand on the old Calvin Scott task force, or even create a second part of it that either mentions or makes a reference to his now "Fallen/Deceased" Praetorian Self. Create followup arc to the Center and his plan to make an army of Marauder-esque Council super-troops. That's all I got for now
  16. Welcome Home! I would also recommend when you're doing missions that you disable XP in some of them (Especially in Goldside aka Going Rogue or Praetoria), as you run the risk of outleveling them, and certain missions are not available on Ouroboros.
  17. Welcome Back! There's five shards (Nine if you count the two beta and two staging shards) to pick from each has its own particular flavor of things and its own particular difference. The first five are where everyone is, you can use the other four if you have a beta account and the manifest with the beta shards, those are where you go to test out the new features (or storyarcs) in development before you play them on live (helps the devs tweak and adjust things). Have fun, and more importantly, good hunting ;)
  18. Forts have a slightly different mechanic (an amalgamation of Willpower, Modified Blaster Ninjutsu and Leadership) which makes them unique. Whereas Seers use some powers from Sonic Blast (Sonic Shockwave) for aesthetic which should be re-labeled Psionic Shockwave. The Resistance powersets are COMPLETELY unique, there's absolutely no Plasma Fusilade or any type of plasma ammunition-power available in the list of powersets. The Praetorian PD have a very different Powerset as well, they have some kind of energy barrier shield and some kind of plasma gauntlet blast, and a lot of the Praetorian PD costumepieces are not available. A similar mechanic should be available to make the Larger PPD gauntlets available, there's a TON of IDF costumepieces that are not available either (The large chest armor, and large power source backpack with antenna) and the energy gauntlets.
  19. Please see the title of this thread: Weekly Discussion 77: Designing an Epic Archetype for Praetorian Earth This is what this particular thread is focusing on, We're not focusing on Primal Earth on this particular instance Recommendation: Go here Suggestions & Feedback and start a new thread, title it appropriately "Cage Consortium" and "Goldbricker" Archetypes. Honestly though we don't need Goldbricker or Consortium as VEATs, Coralax, Mu, Malta I can understand and see as viable options, but Goldbricker and Cage? No... They fit the Blaster/Sentinel/Scrapper Archetype better. I couldn't disagree more with you, First Ward, Night Ward, Carnival of Light, and Devouring Earth make up a large under-explored chunk of Praetorian lore, and THAT is the reason why this thread was voted on, to expand a little more on the Epic AT from this dimension. Make no mistake, there's a lot of Goldside enthusiasts that wanted this to be on the discussion thread. I almost forgot another Epic AT category from the Loyalist side: Seers
  20. Some more things to add to this thread given the renewed interest in goldside. Primal Earth: The Hollows Oranbega/Wincott/Troll/Igneous Connection. When you go to the hollows you meet up with PPD Lieuteant Wincott, and you try to make forays against the Outcasts and other gangs until you ultimately come up to the Infamous Golappo (Minions of Igneous) and rescue Sam Wincott from the Cavern of Transcendence. Praetorian Earth: Imperial City Oranbega/Wincott/Destroyer/Devouring Earth/Syndicate Connection. In Imperial City you meet with a gruff, tough, merciless but noble-minded Veteran of the Hamidon Wars, a former Imperial Defense Commander now turned Praetorian Police Commander, who traded his IDF uniform for a PPD one to serve Praetoria and vowed to wipe out both the Syndicate, Destroyers and The Devouring Earth so that Imperial City doesn't suffer the same fate that First Ward did (but sadly might either way). On the edge of Imperial, you meet a young Resistance Commando, he had a disagreement with his dad over how to save Praetoria or how to make life better for the people. Despite his differing view, he too desires to save Praetoria from calamity, and seeking advice from the Carnival of Light. This concept now seems appropriate: The Cavern of transcendence should become a focus point later on in the late levels of the game (Around 36-50) Paragon Chat and Senticon hold the answers to those questions
  21. I've already had several LEAT (Loyalist Epic Archetype ) and REAT Ideas which some of you already had in mind, but I decided to map them out, and most important, YOU CAN'T leave out the Carnival of Light! 😉 Resistance Faction: Resistance Rifleman: Has all of the basic Resistance plasma attacks Resistance Heavy Gunner Elite Resistance Commando Elite Resistance Infiltrator Elite Resistance Leader (Calvin Scott Level type Resistance) Elite Resistance Crusader Assassin (has some Arachnos type weapons) Elite Resistance Warden Operative (has some Longbow type weapons and attacks) Carnival of Light: Carnival Acolyte/Anchorite Melee (Acolyte is Male, Anchorite Female) Carnival Eremite/Shining Attendant Melee Range (Eremite Male, Attendant Female) Carnival Warrior/Resplendent Mistress Mostly Range with some Melee (Warrior Male, Resplendent Mistress Female) Syndicate: Blade Initiate/Brawler Melee Small Arms Adept Range (Uses both Pistols and Submachinegun) Assassin Striker (Uses Sniper rifle and concealment kill) Elementalist (Pyro or Telekinesis) Sword Master Master Melee Corporate Suit (Combination of a Fortunata and a Blood Widow with more emphasis on Psionics) Loyalist Faction: PPD Path PPD Trooper/Enforcer Melee and Ranged PPD Justicar Melee/Ranged and Leadership Support PPD Investigator Melee/Range/Conceal (Assassin type) PPD Interrogator Melee/Range/PBAoE T.E.S.T Trooper Some Melee, Mostly Range T.E.S.T. Provost Mostly Melee, Some range Imperial Defense/Imperial Defense Special Forces D.U.S.T. Elite Commandos @Piecemeal Pre-Sunset, I was actually left with more hunger for Goldside content, definitely no Prae-Fatigue
  22. My condolences and warm regards to those right now mourning NeutronDecay's loss, a candle and a torch to the memory of a Raid Leader 🕯️ /em Holdtorch
  23. See, my fellow Goldside enthusiasts? 😄 This is PROOF that Goldside NEEDETH... NO... DESERVETH much love 💖 I am absolutely sure that her power can be broken and has limits, if you take Crow for example (Crow from the Crusader arc at level 15), he was able to conceal his true motives from the Praetorian Vanessa Devore, and I'm sure that there is a possibility for factions to emerge under the right circumstances *cough* Pandora's Box *cough* Talons of Vengeance *Cough* 😉
  24. Collateral Damage (Laura Lockhart) While playing as one of my FEMALE alts, Laura Lockhart addresses me as "Sir" instead of "Ma'am", I think Laura's dialogue might need to be updated with the good old $Sirmam (which should automatically default to ma'am if you're a female) switch.
