  1. I'm going to go ahead and try to be smart (I might not succeed but I'll still try) and address some things here, because clearly there's disadvantages. It will NEVER ever be possible to narrow the income gap between any one player or the other, some folks play the market and some don't (I for one DO NOT), some folks TF away non-stop without any effort (I solo too much and not the teaming type) to make some inf, others farm in some form or fashion (AE, RWZ, or Hami Raids), while the rest of us TOIL away normally going through content. Farming can cause one to just get completely burnt out and not want to play any content, nor want to log on. Something ELSE has to be done to address the income gap so that folks can afford to buy crap from the AH, namely the prices of some enhancements in AH. There is absolutely ZERO guarantee you'll ALWAYS consecutively get PvP/Purp/Super-Rare recipes to sell on AH, and more often than not LUCK of the draw is not always on anyone's side. If anything, it's become a lot easier to get burnt out trying to grind for inf or trying to get to level 50 in order to get some kind of inf, and a lot HARDER to get motivated to follow one particular storyarc chain. A new easier and painless way of making inf needs to be implemented, along with some fresh new content to address this problem. Anyways, that's all I got on this...
  2. When launching Tequila, I get the following error after it attempts to validate stuff "Server Error 503: Server Unavailable", is anyone else having this issue?
  3. I ran into the same issue and used the same fix as well, can we get a GM to check the beta testing manifest?
  4. I too have spotted a couple of typos, one when you first talk to Master Midnight and you go through his missions (he says "Irrelevent and it is "Irrelevant", thus is this which I found. And also in the missions with Alec Parson, I spotted the word "Anomoly" which is supposed to be "Anomaly"
  5. Normally when you start the mission where a fight takes place between the Talons and The Carnival of War, there is some kind of animation that is supposed to take place, like carnies and talons punching each other or taunting each other. When I started the mission, the carnies and the Talons just stood there, arms crossed, when they're supposed to be fighting each other.
  6. I don't PvP, so I wouldn't know... Constant insta-kill snipes in PvP on live sort of ruined the experience for me, which is why I went to the RP shard, where no PvP takes place unless it is part of the RP. I can tell you without a doubt, that this "block" WILL NOT FLY in the RP shard.... Enough said Is that from a PvP perspective? This is CoH not MxM... Closing statement: Blocking something won't just affect one shard, it might affect all others... Think wisely what you ask/want for, because there are others who won't agree... Steering back on-topic: The Ouro Badge is not outdated, it is serving its purpose just as it would as if you were playing the Doc Delilah/Agent G arc. Could there be some additions made to it? Maybe, but overall it's purpose is still there.
  7. I don't see a legitimate or valid reason to block anything, as it doesn't break anything, and in addition you create inconveniences for others that use the instaport. Let's NOT create ANY more inconveniences than the ones that already exist... Just a thought...
  8. In order to avoid all the headaches involved with TF's, I tend to solo them or research good enhancement combos to be able to do so. No consequence for anyone else, and no one else gets angry when you rage quit. No time for drama or any of that when there's already enough in RL...
  9. I'd like to point out that I had to read YOUR ENTIRE post at least 5 times just to make sure I was interpreting (or understanding) what you were saying correctly, thusly: I arrived at the correct conclusion of what you were saying and would like to point out what I agree and don't agree with. Using a Mercs/Storm Archetype as an example: 3 self defense attacks include, Burst, Slug and M30, and 3 summon types. While consumption of endurance is indeed something of an issue concerning masterminds, how the heck else are you going to defend yourself?! Or Why even bother playing as an MM?! I normally like to be able as an MM to have a rifle myself and be able to provide some measure of support because I don't like to sit in the back and just let the troops get ground up into meat as it takes away somewhat from the immersion experience, but then again my style of playing an MM archetype will vary in comparison to that of someone who could potentially play as a petless MM (in my opinion a waste of power slots). The one thing I can see the storm support set helping me out with is the Oxygen buff (to heal my troops) and the other storm powers providing with both some offensive and defensive knockback capability to keep the enemy disoriented. I wouldn't however like to limit myself to just having storm powers as a means of defense, as it would make me look a lot less like a mercenary mastermind as supposed to if I also included the rifle, slug and grenade powers. The other thing I wanted to point out, is my perception of your choice of words to describe how inefficiently personal powers use endurance. I myself wouldn't have used those particular words, but I attribute the circumstances to whichever variables happened to have an impact on you at that particular time. I will also take into mind that each of the different Mastermind summon powers and self-defense powers have some significant difference in the variable of what types of enhancements you are required to slot on them, making for an even greater degree of confusion as to which set do I like vs which set is deadlier... Anywho, that's my two cents on the matter 🙂
  10. I'm kicking around some ideas in the brainpan 😛 (by brainpan I mean AE) but still nothing concrete due to the limitations of costume parts and NPCs. Once I get something a little more definitive, I'll find the appropriate AE thread to post something there. 😉
  11. Just goes to show you, the CoH/CoV Community is unbeatable once we come together 😜
  12. Now would be as good a time as any to say "Ok, Trademark renewal... Got it!" and drop it.... 🤐
  13. The following are not characters that I have made or will make, they are Praetorian imaginary concepts of their Primal Earth NPC counterparts which I made in Senticon (or Icon Costume creator with the NPC parts enabled). Let's start with the good-old time classic Hollows Praetorian version of the first NPC contact you encounter: PPD Lieutenant David Wincott, with his Primal Earth equivalent for side-to-side comparison, then we have the Praetorian Version of Davids' son, Resistance Soldier Sam Wincott in both Normal Resistance Gear, and Carnival Rune Soldier Attire.
  14. Aha!!! 😀 But which Penelope Yin are you referring to? Primal, Praetorian, Axis Earth? 😉 The line below is spoken by Lieutenant David Wincott (Primal Earth, The hollows) " Your first assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to hit the streets and put the hurt on the Outcasts " That line contains a reference to good old classic Mission: Impossible, which I failed to pick up on right away. 😄
  15. Guys, Word of caution , from what I am seeing this thread is beginning to derail from its intended purpose: Trademark Application, and now would be the time to simply just say "Ok, got it", and continue on before a GM steps in and puts a padlock. The passion, frustration, tears and the fire would be better served by using either of the Hamidons (Primal or Praetorian), an Arachnos Patron of your choice (or a Phalanx Hero for you villains), as a punching bag or test subject for your newly acquired Incarnate, Epic, and or Patron Pool powers 😀 With this said, I echo that famous rallying cry made famous from the get-go "GO, HUNT, KILL SKULLZ", or just simply go punch Veles or Chernobog for fun 😛
  16. I stayed quiet on this for a long time... It's time for me to speak now.... Before EVERYONE starts to yell "THE PRAETORIANS ARE COMING! THE PRAETORIANS ARE COMING", I'd like to urge everyone to take a seat back and chillax, and continue what was put out before "Go, Hunt, Kill Skullz" just as you have. Whatever happens, will happen for good or ill, or whatever reason it has to happen. There's no sense in nor purpose in getting hellbent out of shape over anything concerning the IP or this or that, because it takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Key point, relax people... I think good things are coming, enough said...
  17. Problem (and I've noticed this whenever new changes are implemented): Whenever you start tinkering with ANY aspect of the code (and I've observed certain other things get wonky as a result) that tinkering is going to BREAK something else entirely different which might have a dependency or hidden link to that other piece of code. I'm not saying "NO don't mess with it", all I'm saying is that even some small changes can have unintended consequences (even if its just countdown timers). Example: Before quick snipes were implemented by default, I noticed my sniper attack damage cut severely as a result of quicker snipes. If you're the team marksman and everyone is depending on you to take out the low hanging fruit, and your sniping damage is cut, there will be a problem when several of those enemies start piling up on the team (regardless if its just a bunch of tiny red cap hooligans, or a bunch of malta sappers). (End example). I do however concur that lower mez cooldown timer for Trollers and Doms can make a HUGE difference with placating several nuisances which otherwise would nuke a whole team, as you've pointed out. Or perhaps the devs discovered a HUGE bug/problem/anomaly that was constantly breaking something else in the code (could be spawning timers for ambushes on AE, or something else) and that's why the devs had to implement that change (Not saying THAT's exactly what happened, just trying to point out how complicated the game code is and how easy something can break). My closing point: Before implementing ANY changes of ANY kind, let us consider whether or not those CHANGES will break something else, that's all. And those are my thoughts/concerns 😁
  18. How about adding the hovering carnie mask swirly from the shadowed paths in First Ward to the list of arcane FX list on the base builder? Here's a screenshot of what I mean
  19. Far from it! That AMD FX6120 3.5ghz Zambezi cpu, with 10 gigs of ram and a Radeon hd 7450 gpu is not a bad system to have at all! You could easily have it as a backup just in case, and looking at it from the whole perspective, I see a blessing in disguise. :)
  20. This actually sums it up quite nicely 🙂 , and I agree 😄
  21. You shouldn't be running ANYTHING that is not 64-bit at this point in time after the meltdown/spectre fiasco, and you DEFINITELY (in my opinion) shouldn't be running anything Intel-powered at this point in time either. You want a decent system, get yourself an AM3, AM3+ or even a low end AM4 Ryzen with the basics. A dual core Athlon (Regor) will definitely run CoH as well as Win10 without a problem, and your basic run of the mill Radeon or NVIDIA with 512MB video RAM should be more than enough to run CoH.
  22. In another thread somewhere else, someone mentioned NPC Archetype sets, but they were Primal Earth Focused. I have therefore come up with some Praetorian-based Archetype sets, like these: LEAT: Loyalist Epic Archetype which can choose to turn Resistance, Hero, Vigilante, Villain or Rogue later if they so wish after level 20 PPD Officer/TEST Troop/Interrogator/Investigator Imperial Defense Soldier/DUST Troop/Heavy Artillery Troop Imperial Seer/Augur/Diviner REAT: Resistance Epic Archetype which can choose to turn Loyalist, Hero, Vigilante, Villain or Rogue later if they so wish after level 20 Resistance Rifleman/Resistance Heavy Barrel/Commando Resistance Pistol Gunner/Resistance Runesoldier/Infiltrator Carnival of Light Attendant/Shining Mistress Carnival of Light Acolyte/Eremite/Anchorite This is just a rough concept which can be expanded, but either new Epic Pools could be made available, or these could just get access to either Epic or Patron pools.
  23. Ok, Which chipset is it? Socket 462? Or 754/939? Or AM2/AM2+ or AM3/AM3+? Is it an Athlon, Sempron or some Phenom? Something other than dual core makes a huge difference, Tri, quad or hexacores make quite an enormous difference processing power wise. If I recall, only the 754 to AM3+ were 64 bit processors and had a RAM limit of 4GB to 8GB and the AM3/AM3+ 16 to 32GB (16GB on the AM3 and 32GB on the AM3+) whereas the Socket 462 were 32-bit only. Does this machine have one graphics port? Is it AGP or PCI-Ex? Is this machine Crossfire capable? (meaning dual graphics cards) Is this machine on a wired or wireless network? Wifi is susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI). I won't inquire if it has an SSD or regular hard drive because I saw that some of the other folks have SSD's on their rigs.
  24. I'm going to have to disagree on this being a Windows 7 issue, because I have Win7 myself (Win 7 x64 to be exact) I've noticed that the people who seem to be having an issue all have Intel powered CPUs, whereas I do not, thanks to a horrible experience I had with the Pentium III way back when. The average wait for the screen to load is about 59 seconds to 1 minute and 2 seconds (65 alts), and other than the random mapserve pie and some lag, I have near ZERO issues. Before casting the blame on Windows 7, its time to check how the patch affects Intel and AMD cpus.
  25. I just remembered what else can be added, and it's related to AE. Add some of the maps from a devastated Praetoria with access to the hamidon infested underground (from the Number Six storyarc), add the maps with a devastated Portal Corp as well as some of the maps from the New Praetorians storyarc, and finally, expand some of the zone maps to include sections of the other zones in Paragon City (IE Kings Row, Skyway, and all others not already in there). If possible/feasible, the solo personal stortylines of all the Praetorian characters not navigated: Neuron's Personal Storyarc (which shows what happens to him), Bobcat's Personal Storyline, Mr G's, Chimera's Personal Storyline, Mother Mayhem's, Praetor White's and Citadel's Personal Storyline, as well as all the others. If I think of other things I'll add them later.
