  1. I'm pretty sure that the nasty backlash they caught has more or less driven a stake into the heart of that storyline. And the upcoming regeneration will likely retcon the living hell out of it. I didn't care for the Whitaker Doctor either. Not that Jodie herself was BAD. Just her portrayal. Which is essentially bad writing and direction. So, it's Chibnall and his writing team.
  2. Taunt 'em. Summon Incarnate Pets. Toggle your Hybrid power. Hit your self-heal. One or two of them will eat that piddly 10 seconds up.
  3. Basically The Doctor can be any AT with a super-high recharge build and a self-rez. FYI, I got introduced to Doctor Who in High School in a Doctor Who fanclub. I'd kinda seen pieces on PBS (WTTW in Chicago). But the first actual episodes I watch were PAL bootlegs from the UK. And the first episode was "An Unearthly Child", followed by the rest of the first season. So my first Doctor was Hartnell. My favorite Doctor, old-school, was Tom Baker. My favorite Doctor, overall, was Eccleston. And I feel a grave disservice was done to the fanbase by only giving the man a year. Not to take anything away from Tennant. But Chris really deserved at least another couple seasons. Favorite monster? Billie Piper: Bad Wolf. I just find it hilarious that the most powerful, dangerous thing The Doctor ever faced was a young woman who was trying to get into his pants...with the powers of a god...
  4. Considering that a Tank's job is to tank, the damage crash is irrelevant. And, well built, the Defense crash accomplishes very little. So Rage isn't "hindering" anything.
  5. Tanky Random stab: (See what I did there? HEH HEH!)
  6. On Inv/SS and SS/Inv, I build for at least Soft-Cap with NO enemies in range. So if there's no enemies in range, maybe a problem. But this is ALSO why I recommend buffing Resist as much as possible in your build too. Basically to ensure you have the wherewithal to survive that 10 second burp.
  7. Even with all the enhancements, I still think investing in a fully optioned CP is a waste of slots. That's just me though. Tried it on a rebuild once. Got tight on slots and CP really didn't add much. Also took a bite out of my overall survivability.
  8. Why not just live dangerously? DGAF?
  9. Post your build. Betting that we can toughen up the build... THEN you'll understand "tough enough". Okay, CURRENTLY Stone tanks are generally the toughest. You can cap out Defense, Resist and Regen. It's just that there are some downsides to playing Stoners. Outside of that, Invuln can be built into a Tank that's essentially 99.9% as tough as a Stoner. WITHOUT the crippling downsides.
  10. You mean... LIKE THIS!!!!!!
  11. The I70-I65 interchange just east of Lucas Oil Stadium.
  12. No, it's got a ring of adhesive tape on the back of the ring.
  13. Kiddo. It's not my problem that I have a vocabulary that's larger than 50 words and doesn't consist of mostly swear words. And "elder millennial"? Ain't no such animal...yet. Give it another 10-15 years. Then we'll talk.
  14. People profligately using "boomer" are generally snotnosed late millennials or later and deliberate trolls. And if you want to see boomers? Those twin tubes are BOOMERS!
  15. Well. Have seen Eternals. Again with the "In theaters, but sound mix is for streaming" issues. It wasn't as bad as Dune (and was probably cleaned up last-minute because of Dune), but it was still a bit too Phil Spector. And while, with Eternals, you KNOW you're in for CGI, a film doesn't HAVE to be dark and washed out to make the CGI pop better. The story itself flips back and forth through multiple historical periods (Uh. HE-LLOOOOO! "Eternals?" 😉 ) showing their continuity through history. You do assemble a fairly good understanding of the characters and their story arc. I can't really say the moving was engaging (at least for me). I feel it was "okay". And anyone familiar with the Ultimates universe will see the twist coming from a mile away. I dunno. I'm kind of at a loss for words on how to review this film better.
  16. Do a West Side Story knockoff. /petsay all, When you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way...
  17. Unlike me. I've been 29 for the last 19 years!
  18. You might. But the Mouse-Haus is notoriously tightfisted and cut-throat. Ask Alan Dean Foster, Neil Gaiman and a host of other authors about it...
  19. Unfortunately, what I do NOT have is TIME. And simply adding one person, no matter how industrious, would fix nothing.
  20. Ostensibly, you SHOULD be able to open the project in the new version and it'll upgrade. What PROBLEMS the conversion will cause...
  21. Shang Chi took 150-200M to make. (Hollywood accounting.) Normally they would have to make 3x the production cost to break even. They're barely past 400M. Honestly, RT's ratings from pro reviewers is worthless. So God only knows how Eternals is going to do. Eternals is fairly funky subject matter. Even within the purview of a universe where guys stick to walls and aliens wipe out half the universe by snapping their fingers.
  22. An avatar creator's easy (relatively). It's just building out from the Unreal Engine's pre-existing tools. Zooming through a bare test zone isn't particularly noteworthy. Writing content isn't impressive either. Because they haven't actually implemented a mission building system. Again, this has been going on 8 years. Through several versions of the Unreal Engine. The main drag is they've had to teach themselves EVERYTHING, from "You've installed the software. GO!" At this rate, we MIGHT see an early Alpha release some time in the mid 2030's.
