Is "visible only to the player" even a thing, though? I am looking for the simplest and easiest implementation for this, not necessarily which would be the "pie in the sky" implementation...
-
There's the Wizard Shoulder piece, IIRC, which is slightly different than the bolero one, but it's immaterial, as choosing "bolero" replaces what shoulder options you have, anyway...
-
I'm confident in saying that it's unlikely that we'll get a meaningful overhaul in how the enemies fight. Maybe a +5 difficulty setting, which also upgrades all enemies by 1 rank, (minions become LTs, LTs bosses, etc), could suffice...
-
You can get that one belt with the "butt-cape" AND a cape, so I don't see why we couldn't get some variant of what the OP is suggesting. That being said, it would be neat to get a version of the bolero, but only the top/off-shoulder portion...

If it's a combat aura, activating any power while out of range would activate the aura...

Maybe the original devs were just bored, or thought either the Leviathan shields were just that good? **shrugs**

Is there such a thing as "visible only to the player" graphics? Maybe have them "stealthed" with a high value, since you can still see yourself while stealthed? I mean, would it be any worse than some of the persistent auras/FX players can already have on them?

Just have a rogue portal open up somewhere, with some huge tentacles reaching through - make it very "Lovecraftian" with a degree of mystery surrounding it. Maybe tie it into Rularuu or the Banished Pantheon, rather than what amounts to a giant mutated octopus...

I only have an earth/pain controller, so I can't speak to the regen aura vs the HoT one for MMs. That being said, for me at least, world of pain is the biggest draw for me, and with enough +recharge, it can be made permanent. Still, you have nullify pain to fall back on...

I got my rad melee/energy aura brute to 50 and into incarnates. So far it's been a mixed bag. While fun to play, it seems that even the slightest bit of lag can mean the difference between me hitting energy drain or energize in time, or meeting with a fast faceplant. That being said, as I work on kitting them out with various IO sets, the margin of safety is widening. Radiation melee seems pretty effective, but I find myself frequently passing over using devastating blow due to the longish animation. I skipped proton sweep as well - was that a mistake? I also tend to keep radiation siphon in reserve for use against contaminated enemies, in order to get the healing effect, instead of as part of my normal attack rotation. I haven't used any respecs yet, so I'm considering swapping out devastating for sweep...

The problem are the animations. If they were to simply make these pistol crossbows, and use existing pistol animations, would that suffice? The reason why earth blast was already done was because it basically used existing animations. I think some Vahzilok and Knives of Artemis enemies use a crossbow attack, but it's just the 1 animation, and it's the aforementioned small pistol crossbow... Maybe a hand crossbow model for dual pistols, as an option?

This may have been suggested before, but what I'd love to see are some aura options, (combat & normal), which draw some concentric circles and various rays emanating from your character, which match some standard power ranges, (8', 10', 12', etc), as well as some common cone widths, (30 degrees, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, etc). Allow it to be colored to the player's preference, and I think it'd be a great tool to help players position their characters to get the maximum impact out of their powers. Thanks for reading!

Oddly it's still a 35 power pick for Corruptors & Defenders...
-
A better option would be a few combo-emojis - basically just add versions of the existing ones with thumbs up plus a smiley or something...
-
Hmm... maybe a combination of 2 seismic blast attacks, (since the Redcaps burrow and live underground), plus the "throw-a-redcap" one as the AoE when their black powder pack detonates, could work...
-
Ninjas already have archery. Maybe give them energy blast attacks, only with different secondary effects to represent generic magic attacks...
-
Great costume, and I never really tried that power combo, so I've been leveling up such a build...

Can you try launching the game in, say, Windows 7 or 10 compatibilty mode? What about if you temporarily disable your AV or firewall?
-
Well, it'd have to still take up a slot - either as a shoulder option or yet another back option which is just the neck ring itself. IIRC, there's a version of the backpack without the ring, so doing one that is just it should be possible. My money's on the original devs simply not expecting players to want that option...
-
I so wish we could get that neck ring without the full backpack...

I know the "either-or" mechanic that sets like Sentinel SR got for master/practiced brawler is not a huge favorite of the devs, but it'd be kind of neat if Kheldians could get alternate versions of Nova & Dwarf, with the alternate version of each that acted as a simple toggle that granted +tohit, +dmg, +rec & +res, status protection respectively, but excluded the full form switch, yet retained full access to the human-only powers. They'd probably have to have lesser values, but it'd be a great option...
-
AFAIK, "absorb" is treated no differently than taking damage - it's just an extra layer of HP that must be depleted before your actual HP get reduced...
-
I've mentioned this in a few other threads, but I think a happy medium would be various animal-themed eye and mouth accessories, so we could use them with existing head options, (hats, hoods, helms, etc).

I've had great fun with my necro/elec mastermind, (I consider necro to be "dark" for this purpose). Just make sure to use a bind or macro to target your nearest living henchman so you can chain your abilities more effectively...
