  1. So the idea here is that, instead of any overt or flashy powers, your character supports themselves and their teammates via careful planning, skill, and being highly aware of their surroundings. To this end, I present to you "Preparedness": 1. Combat Medic - A basic heal other power with regen debuff resistance. 2. Careful Maneuvering - Similar to the "Maneuvers" power from Leadership, but with a lower end cost and better defensive values. 3. Anticipate Attacks - A toggle granting a small amount of resistance to all damage types. 4. Proper Motivation - A click power with a longish recharge that grants increased movement speed and endurance recovery. 5. Reveal Weakness - A single target click power which reduces an enemy's defense and damage resistance. 6. Back on your feet! - A revive power. 7. Smelling Salts - A simple ally-targeted click power that grants status effect protection and end drain resistance. 8. Ambush - Places you and any nearby allies into a temporary stealth, which allows them to deal extra damage with their next attack. 9. Asymmetrical Warfare - You are able to rally your team to overcome overwhelming odds - grants an increasing tohit, damage, and recharge buff based upon how many more enemies there are in the immediate vicinity compared to your team size. The specific names, order, and numbers for the powers are malleable...
  2. I can't remember what game it was - I wanna say either Champions Online or possibly the first Guild Wars, that used to display damage done by each player at the end of an event - I find that only displaying raw statistics without any context or further details can result in some players/ATs/powersets being discriminated against if others see low rankings in such displays. For instance, if a kin user is buffing people's damage by a large margin because of fulcrum shift or siphon power, then shouldn't they get at least part of the credit for that damage? I doubt such stat displays would or could account for those buffs...
  3. This, again, has not been my experience. Sorry you had a bad experience. No reason to put off others. Check the seller's feedback, do your due diligence, and use a payment method with buyer protection.
  4. That, and you usually have to stop and reload at some point...
  5. I find a bit of a different "temperament" to each server, and depending upon my mood at any given time, I'll gravitate to whichever suits me best that day...
  6. That is certainly your prerogative. There are measures in place in case the seller is illegitimate, though. Either way, that has not been my experience. *** shrugs ***
  7. I got the below used laptop for $50 +s/h. It's far from flashy, but it'll play CoH just fine if you use the -usetexenvcombine startup parameter. If you can afford about $20 more, you could get an i5 w/ 8GB of RAM. You have to install your own OS, and you'll want to stick to reputable sellers, but those will get you up & running. Also make sure they include the AC adapter and a SSD... Laptop listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225236795662 Update: An i5 listing for reference: https://www.ebay.com/itm/354352367209?hash=item52810c0669%3Ag%3A56kAAOSwrbRjLh5f&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoKWzpS%2BjZy%2BQPTA4YIabI4tYpDnWUSgojCCCF1jATY9ZfZCJTz5JyEGqqUJ9zSJrGELVpaK96sfFR%2FaQFE73RgaZE%2FWXVXq5POsUMOstZwfIBp4YnGknLuS4wN%2BDbIRNDVmCH5It8wqqVJYNGlyo2YqP4dDVbHKZ8qUhsIiggxUoO1tqO43RwQnRxVl3KtRtb2ml5UykJIcC4SBdXpXTsXA%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5K7-_SPYQ&LH_BIN=1&LH_ItemCondition=3|4
  8. Do lucks provide defense debuff resistance? Do respites provide -regen or -max hp resistance? The changes to insights and sturdies seemed more like a response to PvP than to any actual PvE "need", IMO...
  9. Why not just tint it using the existing options?
  10. If I understand @Rudra correctly, it's about not wanting *any* XP that they did not directly earn from defeating enemies or completing quests. Personally, I don't care about patrol XP one way or the other - that's just my interpretation of Rudra's line of thinking...
  11. Bit of a tangent, but I think part of the issue with infiltration is that, despite the numbers, it doesn't feel as fast or effective as other travel powers. I'm not disputing the values, just that it doesn't quite get you over those buildings or across those chasms the way flight, SJ, or TP does...
  12. The "poll", if you will, is people's reaction to your post.
  13. How do you balance "fair play" with what might end up being the reality of high level villains hanging around Ms. Liberty or other bottlenecks, to just gank low-levels? In the comics, there's always a bigger fish to keep villains in check. Short of some sort of "instant defeat areas", (as opposed to the police drones having to individually target bad guys), how do you protect from such behavior? I'm not against PvP necessarily, but it does tend to point out the shortcomings of the game engine and bring out the worst in (some) people...
  14. Fly, (as early as level 4 now), has spoiled people. Back in my day we navigated Perez park with only CJ + hurdle!
  15. I have a 50 Grav/Kin that I've been playing, and have all Incarnates up to about rank 3. My current APP is ice, using the single target blast, the armor, and ice storm. I'm looking for input on a second build for the character. I'm leaning toward Scorpion's PPP since it also has a defense toggle, and the ST blast does -RES and -DEF, plus another AoE blast if I wanted it. I've also been looking at the fire and psi APPs, but am not as sure on those - I tend to prefer defensive armor toggles on squishier characters. What are your thoughts? Thanks for reading!
  16. That's cuz your fly's open... ... ... ... ... MADE YOU LOOK!
  17. If you go with the fighting pool, that could give you a set of 5 melee attacks, (boxing, kick, cross punch, radiant strike, and incandescent strike), not to mention that white dwarf is primarily melee. With the implementation of toggle suppression, you wouldn't have to worry about toggling tough and/or weave back on when form-switching. I'd still take gleaming bolt and glinting eye, as they work in the forms as well, (1 per each form). Alternatively, if you went with a warshade, you'd get a stealth and phase power w/o having to dip into any power pools, and could easily dip into the flight pool to get fly and air superiority as a melee attack, if you didn't want to go into the fighting pool.
  18. @Rudra is not a troll, from my experience...
  19. I wonder how feasible it'd be to add a power that would teleport to an appropriate day job location, once you earn the badge...
  20. It was added as a way to encourage a healthier lifestyle, by rewarding you for taking a break from the game every now and again. You may not be able to play for long stretches, but there are some people that do so to their own detriment. Patrol XP was one way to try encouraging people to log off for a bit... But, I mean, as an OPTION, sure, why not...
  21. Can you dismiss the pets? You could always bind in /releasepets or something... Still, it would be nice if a summon replaced the old pets with the new ones.
  22. I don't know if this is too close to the original Vampyri or not, but I did include an alternate mask for your consideration: vindictive vampyri2.costume vindictive vampyri3.costume
  23. And I was pointing out how such a feature would likely get used.
  24. Hmm... an account created 4 hours ago with only 4 posts... not suspicious at all!
  25. I wonder if it would be too exploitative to simply give MMs a power to force-recall their minions to their location...
