  1. What about willpower as your primary and savage melee as your secondary? As you mentioned, willpower has a lot of "set it and forget it" powers, and with savage melee, while there is a set mechanic, it kind of rewards you for *not* utilizing it - you get stacking endurance cost and recharge time reductions from building up stacks of blood frenzy, and if you don't worry about using the powers that consume those stacks once you have 5 of them, you can continue to benefit from those buffs. Further, its ultimate power, savage leap, is a fairly quick-recharging power, (by tier 9 standards anyway), which allows you to quickly and easily close the distance to an enemy, and deal some AoE damage in the process. Use it in conjunction with a bind or macro to quickly and easily target the nearest enemy, and you have a convenient way to getting yourself to the next group of enemies. There's also very little downtime with this set. I tend to like this powerset with radiation armor, but I see no reason it couldn't work well with willpower...
  2. Different team, different servers. You'll have to start over, but revel in the experience and welcome home again!
  3. The thing is, those 5 stacks of blood frenzy grant you a pretty significant end cost and recharge reduction, so you have to include those values when considering the other bonuses blood thirst gives you. From what I've gathered, it also bypasses/cancels out the exhausted state, meaning you can build up to 5 stacks of blood frenzy, use a power that consumes those stacks, then instantly regain them, along with the tohit and damage bonus.
  4. I don't intend to sound mean, but do you understand that each server is a separate entity? What I mean by that is your character, their name, etc, doesn't exist on the other servers, and their name is not reserved for you on those other shards. In effect, what you would need to do would be to reserve 1 name across all servers once someone makes a character with that name, then run some sort of batch file or process that would keep all instances synced up, and finally lock that character on all servers when you are playing a particular version of them. And this doesn't even address things like friends lists, supergroups, etc. Your best bet is to create a character to play on each server.
  5. The problem is, if you want to send a private message/tell to a particular person, you'd have to click or otherwise copy-paste their name into the chat box. I suppose you could do: /macro LFT "lfg I'd love to join your team! Please invite me!" The above will create a button on a power bar labeled "LFT" which when clicked, simply sends a basic message to the LFG channel, advising you want to join. You can just click it to post that message into said LFG chat as needed. Thank you.
  6. Can you please address the points brought up by myself and others in this thread, instead of assuming people are attacking you.
  7. Each tier or type of minion has its own power, and you need to use said power to summon them, as well as needing to do so if they should be defeated or if, for instance, you are sidekicked to a higher level, then leave the team or become un-sidekicked.
  8. An "Elite Boss", IMO, is NOT supposed to be midway between a "regular boss" and an AV/Hero, but instead merely a step above said "regular boss". That being said, there is definitely a difference between an AV/Hero that has been downgraded to an EB, and a :purpose-build" EB.
  9. Here's an alternative idea: When there's a raid, a special bonus is generated and put into a pool, (this would be a separate additional amount, so not pulling from anyone else's gains). At the end of said raid, all participants can vote on who they thought was the MVP of that raid, and the top 3 people selected get a cut of that pool. Who voted for whom would be kept secret, but the overall results can be displayed.
  10. And my concern is it'll be turned into a shakedown mechanic. If said raid leader is confident enough to assemble and lead the raid, then they can ask for tips themselves.
  11. I'm not familiar with GW2, only really played the 1st one. Regardless, you're reasoning sounds a lot like an appeal to popularity. Either way, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from pm-ing the raid leader and thanking them or emailing them a reward, if you so wish...
  12. The issue is that sometimes the "leader" isn't necessarily the one with the star. Voluntarily rewarding the person or people that step-up to facilitate things requires no new code or systems, and is already possible...
  13. Then we don't need to facilitate them. If you want to give a tip to a raid leader, PM them and offer one...
  14. Y'know what might work well - we have a ninja leap costume change animation - what if this was implemented as a regular emote, (as well as a costume change one)? Maybe have a version without you doing the offscreen leap, and you can tie it into the deactivation of a power or something...
  15. I have as of late, so throwing in some LotG's later on won't be a problem. A panacea, etc will also be of great help. Thanks!
  16. That'd be great, but I think you want this thread. This one is more for people requesting (help with) a costume design for one of their characters.
  17. There's definitely a different feeling to playing CoH now vs then - I used to do a lot of street sweeping, and TFs or trials were never really on my radar. I felt a great compulsion to play back then, as I was paying to play, and any notion of just hanging around felt like a waste to me. Leveling was definitely a lot slower, but I don't know if that was just due to my general inexperience with optimizing my builds, fewer powersets to choose from, or the lack of any real farms or P2W powers, (or a combination thereof)...
  18. So I've wanted something akin to a battle axe stalker, but since that's not available, I've been looking for alternatives. I leveled up a bane spider VEAT, but they're closer to war mace, and not exactly what i was looking for. I didn't realize that scrappers got ninjitsu, and with its stealth power, you basically get a guaranteed crit on your opening attack. I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and/or what your thoughts were on this comb. My character is still fairly low level, so I'm looking for input, otherwise I'll move ahead and see where this takes me. Cheers!
  19. The best solution is to form your own teams and to specifically advertise them as "casual" or "laid back". It's amazing how this filters out those whose only concern is "ECKSPEEZ" or "LEWT"...
  20. What are you talking about? What is "tactical" about an enemy leaving no remnant behind with which to use your powers? Want to use victory rush on that GM you and your team just defeated? Too bad, they just poof away. Fighting BP and all the bosses happen to be the spirits? Well, I guess you're SoL. No other category of powers is penalized in such a way...
  21. So there are several powers that require the body of a defeated enemy in order to activate. Some enemies, such as Jump Bots or the BP floating masks do not leave anything when defeated, thereby negating the use of these powers. I think it'd be great if those enemies, when defeated, left some sort of wreckage or residue when defeated, which can then be interacted with. Your thoughts? Thanks!
  22. Isn't the point of day jobs that you progress them by *not* being logged in?
  23. Does Blood Thirst bypass the lockout from exhausted?
  24. I meant that if you, as a savage melee user, was near an enemy under the DoT of Hemorrhage, you'd generate stacks of blood frenzy, since you can smell their blood or something. Sine you mentioned it needing to consume those stacks when you're at 5, perhaps that could be when the +regen effect kicks in for you, while also applying the exhausted lockout. Another idea for consuming the stacks could be that you end the DoT and instead apply a massive hit of damage - think of it as rupturing the wounds you applied...
  25. What Hemorrhage should do is play with Blood Frenzy in a sort of inverse way - being near the enemy, while they are under the DoT, should generate additional stacks of Blood Frenzy and apply a -res effect to that enemy. Heck, maybe being near them should provide you a +regen effect, to reflect you feeding off of the enemy as they bleed out...
