  1. Big kudos to @Piecemeal and @Cobalt Arachne for their work on the ASF, as well to any other devs, GMs, and play testers who worked on it, troubleshooted, or contributed in any other way to make it awesome. It really is the gold standard for content 😉
  2. Man the Arena UI is so beyond impossible to work with that I doubt anyone who isn't willing to smash their face on the keyboard is going to try it out. But yeah, I'd be down to try arena more if it was cross server. Then again, I can transfer servers so frequently, I am not sure this would solve the underlying problem of the low population of players participating in PvP.
  3. @Apparition we're six pages deep in to this thread; what is your take on the responses from other posters to this suggestion?
  4. Why does cast time matter if used as an opener and the targets aren't notified and it doesn't break hide?
  5. Yeah this same line of thinking works wonders in other areas of life too!
  6. Man I am seeing this in another game that was released recently, Halo Infinite. Lots of angry folks expressing themselves in a way that doesn't help the folks who do the tinkering and have livelihoods tied to the success of that game.
  7. Boggle works great as an opener, considering it doesn't notify the mob or break hide.
  8. Then a player could just create another account if they wanted more characters. If a player could only have one account that had only one character, that be restrictive as hell and not conducive to the health of a MMO.
  9. The every badge for long range teleporter accolade power is made more fun and interesting through the Tip missions that were added.
  10. They are all weak pets that you shouldn't count on to do anything meaningful beside take a few hits and dish out a little bit of damage. If you just want to pretend to play Mastermind on any other AT, those pets will add to the gang.
  11. I'd be open to testing an inherent similar to how the Defender inherent works. Scales both ways, more _______ while solo and less ______ while solo, then scales to less _______ while on a team, but more _________ on a team.
  12. Yeah! Infrigidate from Cold Domination isn't going to stand for this! How dare a non-damaging power with a 15 second base recharge, 80 ft base range, 10 base endurance cost, that causes -25% Base Defense for 20s, -30% Fire Strength for 20s, -70% JumpHeight, RechargeTime Strength for 20s, -70% RunningSpeed, FlyingSpeed, JumpingSpeed for 20s, and 100% chance for -350% maximum RunningSpeed for 20s on a single target that can be 6-slotted with damage procs..... oh wait 🤣
  13. Use a blue inspiration or any inspiration that grants recovery. Absent that, knowing what you know now, you could build for endurance drain resistance or team with other players who can provide +recovery.
  14. Sounds like a Kinetics/Electric Blast Defender to me. Edit: As to your question, my experience is that endurance draining your opponent is a niche secondary effect to use in PvP. While it works in certain situations, it's more often than not a useless mechanism solo in zone play.
  15. That is a great option for builds with AoEs. I'd even recommend folks respec their third build slot (if they aren't using it) specifically for an AoE if they don't have one in their main build to do this method. No way around it though, damage dealt is a long haul farm.
  16. Yeah ban was lifted. Check out the link for details.
  17. And while we're asking, anyone got beta screenshots? COH or COV.

  19. Final Fantasy does it's pantheon/mythology very well! Cool video! I remember looking up a similar video when I wanted to make an accurate legionary character in game.
  20. Yeah macro stuff. That's all good! When you're a grunt, the little things are interesting as well. Like why did that guy run out in the open while getting shot at a bunch? Oh to get a machine gun up to provide cover fire while his or her unit hastily evacs casualties. History is riddled with heroism, but it isn't usually noted unless by the victors or those who live to tell the tale.
  21. No such a thing doesn't exist to my knowledge. The HC Staff link just says who is what, like GM or Developer. I'm pretty the devs have all crossed over to different things before. I think Naomi is the costume and emote dev, but that's just from what I've seen posted.
  22. He may have actually been one of the first AVs added to this game. Any old beta players remember this or know if it's true? Who was the first AV???
  23. I've seen both sides of this play out in many art and entertainment mediums. You're absolutely right about the way these narrative anecdotes are introduced to the audience being the key to their impact. I remember playing Master Chief in the Halo CE video game years ago and just thinking he was a badass who kicked alien butt. Then a novel came out about him and I read that. Totally opened up a new side of the character that I now keep in my head when I'm playing the most recent Halo game. My point is, when it's spewed from the mouth of a nameless background character in less than a sentence during a quick plot filler scene it sullies the value of both the achievement or sacrifice that those awards are meant to represent in real life. When the story weaves in the trauma, hard work, etc in to the character using more than just a quick puff of imagination, I think it's impact is felt much more by the audience - especially those who aren't familiar with the meaning of those military ribbons or medals.
