  1. I don’t think you’re understanding the point. The point is that the new reward is so much larger than the old reward that even people like you who often log in with full patrol xp will derive a net benefit as long as you claim the reward once in a blue moon.
  2. Eh, based on the benefit of one versus the other and how often you’d have to be full on patrol xp just to break even with the old system, I think we pretty much have proven that you’d have to have a very niche playstyle to be hurt by this change.
  3. Some would argue (including me) that Taunt powers are most important for AV’s, so I would personally give Confront the edge.
  4. I don’t make the character unless I have a draft build planned out.
  5. Just for kicks, I looked at my old spreadsheet from when I did pylon runs, and my best time on Ill/Fire/Ice was 64 seconds and best time on Dark/Dark/Ice was 79 seconds. That would’ve been with Offensive Amplifiers but no Dagger/Geas. Don’t think the Ill/Fire had Enflame but not sure. I know I had the whole Mace/Tarantula/Enflame setup on my old Ill/Dark/Mace Controller build and I don’t have times written down on that one but I want to say its best time would’ve been about 95 seconds.
  6. Fair enough, I just expected things to go more like they do in the Pylon Damage thread.
  7. Another contributing factor is that these new pylons apparently don’t deal damage. Until I realized that, I assumed your Fire Imps actually surviving long enough to contribute DPS was some sort of test server hack. I guess they’ve made the pylon test that much easier. Back when I was doing pylon runs on doms, Phantasm and Umbra Beast had no chance without Spirit Ward, and Fire Imps and Haunt had no chance at all.
  8. Would be nice to see no Envenomed Daggers, Geas, etc this time. Every Dom time posted was a completely unrealistic eye-roller.

  10. I don’t understand why it’s a problem that players who don’t yet know how to make money are struggling to make money. This has been the case in every MMO I’ve played. You’re just supposed to learn.

  12. So your idea is genuinely “Let’s make Psy Blast 2 and Mind Control 2”? Yeah I don’t think the devs are going to pick that up. They tend to create unique powersets, not tweaked copies.

  18. You do realize how long it takes to fill up on patrol xp from logging out, don’t you? Points 1 and 2 don’t make sense.

  21. Telekinesis has been through so many rounds if changes… exactly how many Mind Control sets would you want there to be?
  22. Hard mode TF’s give great extra rewards. Ouro challenge settings do not (besides badges).
  23. If possible, the rule should be something like: you can have two auto powers if neither is an attack. That way, Doms, SR/Shield/Nins, SS with Rage etc could get the benefit, but afk farming wouldn’t be strengthened at all.
