I’d just go Dark/Dark melee toon as a nicely colored Cloak of Fear aura feels like the closest you’re gonna get to a toon all about fear.

The set bonuses affect you. The Soulbound Build Up proc affects the pet.

If you are new to the game, it would be better to listen to feedback and make sure you’re using all of the resources available to you. Redesigning the game based on the opinions of those who don’t know how to play the game doesn’t make much sense.

I would say making everything free would be such a potent middle finger that I would have to at least think about quitting. Honestly anyone that supports that level of “muh free stuff” is kind of evil.

With all due respect Ultimo, I think it would be appropriate for you to take advice from forum posters and up your own game before asking for City of Heroes to do any changes of its own. Super Strength is not underpowered, but it seems like everything is going to feel underpowered in your hands - the way your threads read.

Yeah Snarky I think I was wrong about this one. After experiencing the slowdown from having an ally accidentally intangible various things while trying to leverage the trawl… I am probably not gonna bother respecing into this thing.

“Fans of having skippable powers” were nerfed pretty hard this page; I can’t really disagree with that. In most cases I’m just having to make cuts to pools. But the way I’m thinking about it I’m pretty sure my Ice tanker is gonna have to drop an attack 😞

You need to stop being a fanboy this is a serious detriment.

If you can do the following: (1) Use inspirations. (2) Not take yourself so seriously that you think dying has any impact in this game. Put together a wakie/BF/blue, pop em, zip away, and try again. Then you can have fun with approximately 5% defense (Combat Jumping + Stealth or Maneuvers) and 0% resistance. I have 68 active characters in my spreadsheet. None of them have the fighting pool, none of them have ever intentionally pursued a defense set bonus, and only the taunters even bother with glad armor/steadfast/shield wall/reactive procs any more.

Yeah I mean just think about it. If you make endurance a non-issue for new or bad players, you’re gonna make the actual good players way too OP.

I respectfully disagree with both suggestions because the two separate AoE strikes mechanic is fun and the pet is beautiful.
