  1. No? Ok, well here's a couple of threads about knockdown then: Need more Knockback->Knockdown conversion! July 3, 2019 Knockback revision July 11, 2019 A Moderate Change to Knockback September 29, 2019 I Love Knockback January 5, 2020 Energy Blast and Knockback March 21, 2020 SANCTUARY server (not Homecoming) Energy Blast ... no more Knockback... April 4, 2020 Global Enhancement for Knockback to Knockdown Conversion? July 31, 2020 Proposed Knockback modifcation/fix July 12, 2021 Poll: How do you feel about knockback? July 13, 2021 There's more, but that's all I found with a quick search.
  2. We've already had 137,482 threads on this. Please don't start another one. Please just vent in whichever thread is the most current one.
  3. Yeah, I see what you mean about people being pushed out of the game because of people's reactions to their playstyle. I've seen it happen. I've also seen fun content ruined by devs changing content so that it can be soloed. I agree that giving people grief because of their preferred playstyle is just dumb. Anyway, thanks for answering my questions. So mote it be.
  4. @Bill Z Bubba I agree with you, so normally that wouldn't rate a response, but I did have a question about this: I honestly don't understand what damage is caused by the belief that a game with the words "Multi-Player Online" in the name should have a preference toward teaming. Personally I see a lot more issues caused by people who prefer to solo. Mostly in that they scream that everything, including 40-man raids, should be able to be soloed. I know that this part doesn't apply to you. You already addressed that.
  5. No, the reasoning still works. Just because a new team is working on the game doesn't mean that any powers (not saying that any were) that were secretly nerfed because of PvP concerns will just magically and instantly be reverted. The current devs aren't going to know one way or the other if the retail devs lied about the motivation behind a nerf of a specific power. Look, I did not say that a bunch of powers were secretly nerfed because of PvP. What I said, what I've always said, is that Hurricane is the only power that the retail devs admitted that they nerfed because of PvP. That's what I said. I've said it more than once. My wording is incredibly specific. And, if you read my sentence objectively, you have no choice but to admit that it's true.
  6. No, not a conspiracy. Just a recognition of the fact that people have never liked admitting when they were wrong, and that now days that's been amplified times 1,000.
  7. Yes, you found the exception to the rule. Congratulations. Heroes typically work against villains. They occasionally work with them to save the world. That's an exception that trick-or-treating doesn't meet. .
  8. The Trick-Or-Treat League, at the Paradise Hotel on My Island, is the only time that I can be honestly said to farm. I use it to level up characters that have gotten stuck in the mid 30s, or a brand new character that I don't want to play up through the 0-29 game for the millionth time. It only happens once a year. Get over it or get off of My Island.
  9. Not necessarily. That would require them to admit that they lied when they said that they didn't nerf that ability because of PvP. They had no motivation to do that and a lot of motivation not to.
  10. Let's be completely honest for just a moment, Mac. The truth is that in the entire history of the retail game there was just one power that the developers admitted they nerfed because of PvP.
  11. Thank you for starting this thread, Glacier Peak. And thank you, Homecoming Developers, for all of the hard work that you've put into City of Heroes. I haven't always agreed with all of your decisions, but that's ok. English doesn't have to words to express how grateful I am that you've resurrected, and improved, my favorite hobby.
  12. You get that I wasn't talking about you personally, right? I was talking about people in general. Sure you do. Also, both your post and your signature prove my point. If you don't understand why then perhaps you might want to ask someone who's smarter, and more patient, than I am to explain it to you.
  13. So what would you call an iTrial? Is that challenging content? If there's not enough challenge in this game for you then how about you go solo the AE 801 series instead of trying to nerf all my characters and force me to play your "game is too easy bro" mode! Basically people are, once again, complaining about being a super hero in a super hero game.
  14. Here we go again... So basically you power munchkined your characters full up with Purple IO sets and all T4 Incarnates and you're complaining that the content is too easy? Wow. What a shocker. Your character became Superman in a superhero game. If you'd rather play Lame-O the Wonder Clown instead of Superman then go play WoW.
  15. The weak aggro aura has been fixed on Tankers and Brutes, so you won't have that problem to worry about. The biggest problem that I've had with my Will/SS Tank has been, believe it or not, a lack of endurance drain resistance. If you're near the softcap on most things then that probably won't be an issue for you.
  16. Except that it would. There's an opportunity cost involved. If the Council of 13 is working on coding this that's time they could have spent coding in something else. It would be one thing if, like Sonic Bubbles, it affected a lot of people and the effect was placed on to other characters, but that's not the case with Whirlwind. Don't like the look, then don't take it. Problem solved. In the entire time I've played on Homecoming I've seen one, exactly 1, person use this. So it wouldn't be hard to move so that you don't see them or just not team with that one player. Also, I'm old, nearly blind and red-green color blind on top of that. I've bought a larger monitor to make it easier for me to game. I change the color of my UI and I never pair red and green on a character's costume. When I'm making a character I often ask other people to look at my screen and tell me what color something is. Now could the devs do a bunch of work to make things easier for me? Sure they could. They could add the names of every color to tool tips and do a powers pass to make sure that every NPC's power is a different color than all of the other colors so that I can actually see each individual power, especially in a group setting. Am I asking them to do that? No. Why not? Because I would much rather see the developers work on stuff that benefits all of you instead of working on stuff that will only benefit myself.
  17. I can't imagine that this affects a significant portion of the players and I'm tired of everything being changed for the 0.01% to the detriment of the 99.99%.
  18. A lot of people now days are just determined to stick with their world view no matter how many people tell them they're wrong. It's why I didn't bother to cite a source. He would have just nit-picked it to "prove" it wrong and there is zero chance that he might actually change his mind. *shrug* It is what it is.
  19. @GM Impervium Any chance we can get someone to say something about Gadgetry?
  20. I can't actually respond to this without giving away that my character might be involved in a possible IP violation. But there is a good explanation out there for this. On the plus side I agree. Mmmmmmm... brownies! 😄
  21. Basically, my character that's a robot from the future, who may or may not have a phase plasma rifle in a 40 watt range, really needs to have some flying drones. And of course my other character, who's from a place far far away, could really make use of a nano net and a jetpack. Also, thank you so much for the possible animation Luminara. As is often the case I agree with your suggestion. 🙂
