  1. How are they not a solution? Not trying to be a jerk here. I'm just asking because I genuinely don't understand why turning the graphics down isn't a solution. This is a super hero game that has super hero effects. And it was made in 2004. If it weren't for the tiny interface I could run this game on my phone.
  2. Please don't add a special mode to make Task Forces soloable. 99.99% of the content in this game is soloable. There should be at least a little bit of content that usually requires a team.
  3. The only quirky thing that I was able to spot with your post was that you used the apostrophe, and spelled plurals and possessives, correctly. BTW GVT, just out of curiosity, is English your native language?
  4. In English, the first word in a sentence must always be capitalized. You don't capitalize nouns in English unless they are proper names. Words written in all capital letters is only allowed in the titles of articles and chapters. Otherwise is a single word. Scrapper Invulnerability also has a taunt aura. Am I doing this right? .
  5. Well, unless the devs are going to "gate keep" these tokens so that only certain people are allowed to get them then it will be open to everyone. That's why I suggested the Inf100 million cost. If you've played long enough to get Inf100 million then you probably should be able to insta 50 a character. Also, it functions as a money sink. Which, as we know, this game does not have enough of.
  6. You are correct, it doesn't work for everyone, but everyone would have access to it. 99% of the content in this game is below level 50. If someone doesn't like playing below level 50 then they don't actually like most of this game. Here's a suggestion that I could support: Make the insta-level-50 token sold by a special vendor who's only in Paragon Dance Party. And it costs Inf100 million.
  7. Riiiiight. That's why it keeps happening and when I've tried PMing the GM's before you all refused to even respond to my PMs.
  8. I'm concerned that I might be missing something in your question. Currently "City of Villains" is an integral part of "City of Heroes." You can roll and play a character on the villain side of the game right now.
  9. Personally I don't mind the "forums cops" confronting me. What I do hate is when someone gets mad because I shut down their argument, so they log out of their personal account and into their mod account so that they can mod-smack me. It's one thing to get mod-smacked because I got a little heated and stepped over the line, it's a completely different thing to get mod-smacked because the other person's ego is stinging because you took their argument apart. And do not waste my time telling me that this doesn't happen on this forum. I've been shown screenshots proving that it does and has happened.
  10. I'm sorry to hear that, Greycat. I started using it again because it was a funny meme specific to City of Heroes that only us old-timers remember. And because I really like that gif. Then I kept using it because it's done a good job protecting me from... How do I say this? Forum moderators who are far more sensitive than I am. I'll just put it that way. Previously I'd explain why I thought a suggestion was a bad idea, the OP would respond and generally call me names, then I'd respond and explain why he was wrong, then he'd report my post and I'd get a warning point. I'm guessing that I only get so many warning points before I get banned. So that /jranger gif has done a great job protecting me from an unwarranted ban. If some high-soy snowflake wants to take offense by thinking that it's meant derogatorily that's his/her/furrykind/otherkin's problem, not mine.
  11. Nah. I'm only a couple of years older than you. I just don't believe that I'll make it to 75. My health isn't great and I'm already half blind. Not saying that for sympathy or anything, it just is what it is. We're all going to go sometime. Although, given the way I annoy people IRL I was honestly shocked when I made it to 30.
  12. I hope you're wrong, Hyperstrike. I was hopping to get a chance to play this game before I die in 2030.
  13. Yes there is. Also, I like that you recognize that I am inevitable. 😄
  14. I get why they took out the base beacons for the echo zones, and never had one for Cimerora. That being said they should add a special base item, a time machine or whatever, that allows you to attach just those special time displaced zones. It should also allow you to port to Ouroboros.
  15. I really like your idea, Palehood! I do wonder how realistic it is to ask the Homecoming developers for art assets, even if they are ones already in game though. I know that code is one thing but art assets? I have no idea if that's impossible or easy or somewhere in between.
  16. I just went back and reread his posts. He was not pretending to speak for the development staff. He was disagreeing with the OP's suggestion. And I'm not being "anal retentive about definitions." Words have specific definitions. Insisting upon attributing the correct definition to a word isn't being "anal retentive", it's trying to make sure that we're still speaking the same language. For example: I did not ride a unicorn to work this morning, as much as I would have liked to, I drove a car. Calling a car a unicorn doesn't make it one. I am pushing back against this so much because I've noticed a tendency in recent years to change a word or a definition, use the new word or definition for awhile, until people get used to it, and then getting the rules changed to make that thing against the rules. Since disagreeing with someone is already specifically covered in the rules we start calling it "gatekeeping." (Which is not what that word means) And then, in a few months, once we've impressed upon everyone how bad "gatekeeping" is, we then go to the mods and cry until they make it against the rules. And yes, the developers are adults. And, just as they don't need Glacier "gatekeeping" for them so they also don't need you trying to protect them from the mean old forum monsters who are keeping your precious suggestion away from them.
  17. In order for "gatekeeping" to be a thing he'd have to actually be physically preventing you from entering a gate or door, or preventing someone from taking an action. That's what that means. Gatekeeping is not a synonym for disagree. He wasn't doing that. All he was doing was disagreeing with someone. And the forum rules specifically say that you're allowed to disagree with people. Right here GM Tahquitz said "If others disagree, that's fine, too." Ok? Did you get that? A GM specifically said that people are allowed to disagree with you! And changing the word from disagree to gatekeeping does not change that. TL;DR: It doesn't matter if someone "gatekeeping" triggers you, it's still not against the rules.
  18. Sad but true. 😒
  19. A person cannot be a gatekeeper unless they are actually able to prevent an action, in this case prevent the developers from implementing your suggestion. Can he do that? Can he fire the developers if they attempt to implement your suggestion? No? Then he's not "gatekeeping" or whatever word you want to misuse to describe his actions. He's "disagreeing with you." I don't know why people now days think they get to just change the meaning of words. It's like you all think your last name is Webster or something. Feel free to respond with "ok, boomer", or whatever nonsensical phrase the kids are using now days.
  20. I think the developers should put these items on the P2W vendor for 25 million apiece. A one use instant level 50 token that is character bound. Cool gold colored titles. "Terminator" "Sith Lord" "There can be only one", etc. Bonus points if there's a badge associated getting any one of these titles. A power that's a one use giant banner that says the character's SG name in giant letters, or "Costume Contest" or something else useful. Like the banner should be bigger than a GM. Useful for meeting spots or recruiting or RPing or costume contests. A power that summons a chair and then has your character sit on it. Also useful for meetings or RPing.
  21. OMG! I love this! I'm stealing this line, even though I'll probably never get the chance to use it. 😄
  22. My experience is also that villains tend to better together than heroes do. Which is weirdly opposite of how it should be. However, someone's not rude simply because they don't respond to a random tell. I'm usually on Discord talking with my friends while I'm playing, so my chat window's often closed. So unless you send me a tell, and I hear it over the screams of my victims... I mean protests of those being arrested..., I'm not going to respond to you. According to your definition I'm rude simply because I'm too busy having fun with my friends to even notice random messages from other people.
