It was about 2009 or so, that the Devs released it on the beta server as a test. It never left the beta server however, the slot for it was added to AH by mistake which did make it to live for a few weeks or so. Yes, @Rudra you are correct it was about the same time as those other Inspirations where tested. The original forums discuss it if someone wants to dig for it.

I seem to remember on live this happening when you hit “x” number of items placed in your base without logging out.

I have a Dell mouse that randomly recalibrates itself once a week. It does this during the recalibration making for some interesting battles sometimes.

I was on the Secret Server for Seven years. I saw the creation of Homecoming from the inside of the ensuing firestorm. I actually believed Homecoming would be shut down so I didn’t join until it had been running for Nine months. I figured if NCSoft wanted it shut they would have done it by then.

Yes, that’s a good point. I believe the problem started way before Going Rogue however. When City of Villains came out it was an entirely separate game. NCSoft thought that dividing the player base was a good idea. They thought it was such a good idea they did it again with Going Rogue. Continuously dividing your player base it turns out doesn’t grow your subscriber numbers. It just makes the game feel less populated. So much so by the time Going Rogue came out there wasn’t enough players to support a third side of the game.

The problem is the Pretorian content in general was not played on Live. All the original Dev plans / Story Lines were cut short or skipped due to the lack of players on Gold Side. Gold Side still has this problem. I will say it’s probably more popular now then it was on live but it’s still the least played side. Every complaint about Pretorian stories or lack of stories or continuity is valid. But it’s for a reason. Why make new content for the least played part of the game, when there are still so many untold stories for the parts that the majority of people do play?

Isn’t the KR event still bugged/not working properly? I thought that was a long term goal for the Devs to revamp that event.

This is a well known bug that popped up two updates ago. No word on if is being looked at but they are definitely aware of it.

What is your computer build? What is your OS? What are you using to log in? Tequila or the HC Launcher?

Came here to figure out what was going on with these. My first thought, “I’m finally to old to understand new icons.” I then got really depressed until I found this chat.

I believe if someone doesn’t respond to something like this it’s because they aren’t looking at that tab at that moment. It has nothing to do with someone not liking you or the game not working.

Why do I have the impression you are not talking advantage of all the types of money in the game? Merits! Use Merits. You will greatly reduce the amount of Inf you spend if you supplement your buying habit with Merits. Spending that extra $10 million Inf for a rare isn’t as big of a deal if you are using Merits for over 50% of your build.

Doesn’t Hurdle already have a faster forward movement than Swift? The only reason you can’t move faster than Swift is the down-side of the jump. The steeper the down-side of the jump the more truncated the forward speed. Some temp powers give you a less steep downward fall but none of the actual powers do however. Am I wrong about this? Because that’s how it feels.

Yes, the look of this game is still impressive after almost 20 years. I believe CoH greatly benefits from only having to look like a comic book. The only drawback is the “dead eye” look of some of the faces. It’s a bit unsettling at times.

From a post back in 2020. Jacob’s Ladder isn’t broken or needs to be fixed. It is just a vary limited power.

I spam if I’m looking for a PL. I spam every channel. I get complaints probably about once a month. I usually ask for a PL every Sunday. So in the big picture most people don’t care. The reason I Spam every channel is because not everyone PLs in the same zone. Not everyone who PLs reads the same channel. If it bothers you, the game has a mute/ignore button. Go ahead and use it. I encourage those who complain to me about my spam to do so. Here is the thing. I run a lot of TFs and call out a good number of Giant Monsters. Sometimes those people who have me muted are also the people who want to join my teams. So good luck with that if you choose to put me on ignore. Im a day one player and have been playing almost constantly for 19 years now. Sometimes the people who bitch about spamming are just people who want a little bit of control in their lives. If I suggest they put me on ignore they just bitch even more. However, sometimes if I explain my situation it leads to a new friend. Of those who do care, and want me to stop spamming, I explain that I have been playing far longer than they have. I played before they started and most likely will still be playing long after they are gone. This additional bit of information is usually enough to get those people to shut up. Are there types of spam that bother me? The people who jump on and just bitch about what an awful game CoH is and how empty the servers are. Those are the spammers I can’t stand. Do I mute them? No, because I’ve bee playing long enough to know they won’t be playing much longer.

I have a Kinetic Tank that sucks. It makes me sad because the power looks so cool.

The one thing everyone is failing to mention, maybe because it’s obvious, is that Jacob’s Ladder is a Meele power. Meele meaning hand to hand. The game has a few Meele powers that have a reach I consider outside of Meele range but Jacob’s Ladder isn’t one of them.

The order does not matter. The only thing that matters is VISITING ALL THREE VERSIONS of the memorial. Each version of the memorial counts for 1/3 of the badge. After you visit all three locations and only after you visit all three locations will the Badge trigger. At the moment it’s the only location that works like this. Follow @Xiddo link posted above. He is correct.

If this was to happen I fear you would turn into the equivalent of a Force Ghost from Star Wars Galaxy. Something that is part of the game but can not actually play any content.
