  1. As I mentioned in the other thread; while the data states 1 Second, it really feels like it's closer to 0.67 . . . maybe that's just a perspective thing, but this sucker really does feel instantaneous.
  2. You don't keep momentum, but you can immediately pick up speed again on the other side. There's no rooting.
  3. Try Jaunt from Experimentation on the Test Server while it lasts. I can't imagine this Power making it to Live in its current state. Not without humiliating Teleport in a BIG way.
  4. While it has an 8 second cooldown, or something like that, with suitable Global Recharge I've got it down to around 1.5'ish. And the in-game description says the activation time is 1 second, but it feels like it's less than 0.67 frankly.
  5. Both of your suggestions have some significant backing as far as other players who desire to see them. While I don't know off the top of my heads if either has received a whole dedicated thread on this forum yet, I've seen both suggestions crop up time and again on threads listing multiple ideas for Mastermind Sets. Bear in mind, though, that without someone taking it upon themself to do a LOT of heavy lifting, it's unlikely that new Mastermind Sets will be showing up in the near future. They require a substantial amount of work, especially when (as the mythological critter set idea would require) brand new 3D assets would be required to make them complete.
  6. JAUNT MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!! Why does a Super Speed clone get to have a -good- Teleport!? *foams at mouth, rolls out of chair, and twitches violently on the floor* . . . in all seriousness, seriously: Jaunt is WAY, WAY, WAY better than Teleport. It hurts my feelings, as irrational as that sounds. Otherwise, a really solid set. Perhaps too solid. I am still holding out hope for Utility Belt, but at this point, Experimentation is the clearest of winners so far. Force of Will and Sorcery just can't hold a candle to this Pool Set as-is.
  7. I am going to echo the desire to see the name of the set changed to "Surge Protection." It's kind of schlocky and playful, which I think it a good thing. It gets the point across too on what the set has to offer. Also going to say, that playing the set for about an hour now . . . it's very click-heavy. I'll agree with the assessment that Faraday Cage would be a good candidate for PBAoE Toggle'ification.
  8. I never said "Delete," mind you. I'd never do that. Never again . . .
  9. One of the popular suggestions, and one which you may want to throw your support behind in the Suggestions board, is the idea of having Regular Bases (as-is), -plus adding- PvP Bases (getting us the feature that was always intended to be released with City of Villains but was never completed), and Personal Housing (miniature Bases on a per-character basis, rather than tied to a Group). Granted, the personal housing one can be solved in a roundabout manner by making an alt account, and just creating a personal housing "Group" for each character on your main account. It would be a LOT of work, but as it stands . . . there hasn't been any work on an upper limit to Group Bases yet. We've over 12000 on Everlasting at this point, and who knows how many on the other Shards. Nothing -seems- to have collapsed under the weight of all those home-made maps. Yet.
  10. uh . . . yes? That's already the case. Alignments now only matter for the Public Zones of Paragon City and the Etoile Isles. All Groups are cross-alignment AND available at level 1. There's an impressive list of Bases that are public access over at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Nw-npzUY2NGc6SFoHa1ByWw202gI8DlT0ZDTQwoR7YM/edit#gid=0 The only thing that isn't available, and would require QUITE the overhaul is joining multiple Groups with a single character. No idea how they could code that one in to place.
  11. Yes; but it's not an entirely simple measure, biostem. The answer is now, as it has been for most things; the Homecoming Team -is- aware of the players' feelings on the matter. They have limited time and resources (for whatever reason(s)), and they'll get around to it when they feel they've reached their personal bar of Quality. Other Servers out there have already started toying with and releasing difficulty adjustments. Just another difference between there and here.
  12. Alright, I'm pretty sure the tech has improved on the backend to not -need- to use that pseudopet method . . . but instead of the pseudopet method, let's get a little jankier and smoosh two birds with one stone: Flash Arrow grants all allies in the AoE's range a Temp Power for a few seconds, which they can then click on to apply an AoE Placate on a target of their choice. This also allows players to Opt Out of Placating enemies if they're trying to maintain Aggro. Not the most thematically appropriate, and definitely not the most direct . . . but I honestly like the gameplay solution this offers.
  13. There are definitely a few, as well as some young villain groups too. Mayhaps check out: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/1346-sgvg-recruitment-board/
  14. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/15800-beta-patch-notes-for-february-25th-2020-issue-26-page-5/ Get your butt over there, and get testing! It's the fabled Electric Support Set, at last! Also some new Invention Sets, and the Experimentation Set. . . . god. I might need to reroll a few characters now . . . crap.
  15. That Electric Set has WAY more chaining in it than any of our proposals in the Suggestions forum. I'm okay with that, though. Guess I know what I'm doing after work today.
  16. And because I'm dumb, I just spent a few minutes making the Nu U! Now you can point an accusatory mouth-finger to the poster above you! . . . what have I done?
  17. Also applicable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugg4_2O7xe8 WARNING: Jim Sterling can be annoying in the way he presents his information. . . . ok. Jim Sterling -is- annoying in the way he does stuff. BUT the points he brings up in his latest video (linked above), as well as a series of past videos, touches upon this subject of difficulty and player preference. Most of the community has already agreed in other threads and discussions that -optional- difficulty increases are a fair proposal. But any time a thread starts with the premise of "the game's too easy, so change everything," it provokes a LOT of bile. Not that toxicity is ever justified . . . but the way threads that call for sweeping changes to satisfy statistical outliers REALLY rubs people the wrong way.
  18. UNLESS Flash Arrow's Placate effect actually has a large AoE and activates an auto-cast Placate AoE originating from each ally in range. I'm also of the mind that we could use more Powers with Placate as a Secondary Effect / "Chance to Placate" Powers. As it stands, it looks like every Power with a Placate effect is guaranteed to work, as long as it passes an Accuracy Check (assuming it's not Autohit anyway). Then again, every Power with a Placate effect is also -primarily- a Placate Power . . .
  19. If you're going to "no u" someone, do it right:
  20. Hoyship, @Shadowsleuth! Liking this whole thread, eh?
  21. Hellion and Skull Lore should summon about thirty of each of them.
  22. Don't worry. There's a little D-Mac in all of us. . . . and at this point I was going to make a really suggestive joke about "a little D-Mac," but I'm sure everyone can just imagine their own.
  23. We gotta stop giving Nemesis credit for all this! He keeps building duplicates of himself just to fill their heads with the overflowing ego.
  24. SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST! Literally, the idea hit me just as soon as I sat back down to eat my dinner . . . Combine my previous two posts in this thread together! https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/15693-weekly-discussion-39-incarnate-powers/?tab=comments#comment-167350 https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/15693-weekly-discussion-39-incarnate-powers/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-168352 The Anti-Incarnate Content! Make -that- a limited resource! Yes! Yes, that's the way to do it! God-killer ammunition! Bullets so dense they can penetrate an Incarnate's hide. Psychic-blank serum! Undermine the Aura of Belief generated by the civilians which empowers the Incarnates. Teleport network linked to orbital mass driver! Launch that pesky Flame of Prometheus in to a black hole. That's the ticket!
