  1. Well, call me the odd one out, but I'm pretty happy with Electrical Affinity. It's rather click-heavy, and could use a little more time in the oven, but it's a welcome addition in my books! Call me less crazy, but if long-term retention is the plan, I still suggest putting a little more focus on roleplayers and social quality of life features. Gamers will come and go as they please; typically when they personally "beat" the game. Roleplayers tend to hunker down and make homes for themselves, and generally only leave when one of three things happens: - A better home shows up that they can convince their friends to follow them to. - A drama storm pushes them out. - Real life gets in the way. All of which are generally not the game developers' fault.
  2. New Proposal! Put Jimmy in Ms. Liberty's spot! A little all-white magical cat. Problem solved!
  3. Sorry to double-post, but this is rather a different thought than the last one I made. Please don't get discouraged with how this latest bit of community reaction when with regard to Dark Melee. As mentioned in another thread, I think it's an ideal learning opportunity. Frankly, despite some players' reactions to it, I really do think that the experimental development on a player-accessible Test Shard is ideal! While dedicating a whole Shard to just experimental changes might be more effort than its worth, I think "Experimentation Events" might be a good thing to explore in the future, kind of like the Stress Test Events which happened a few weeks back.
  4. Thanks for the information and assurances, Jimmy. I look forward to the day when we can peel back the hood and see it all laid out.
  5. I reinstalled Darkest Dungeon due to watching an old Loading Ready Run video that Youtube had as a related video to a related video to a related video to a related video of one of Loading Ready Run's new videos.
  6. What're you gonna do when you get that many posts, Billy? And then what at that much Reputation Points!?
  7. Heh, but if you ask a roleplayer, Septipheran, you'll see that there are a LOT of ideas which simply don't have options to support them yet. I mean, I have a very different view, I think, from you. I want more and more and more and more and MORE Sets and Archetypes, or full-out Freebuild, because the game -mechanics- just aren't complex enough to engage me on a level of serious play. I will gladly take a Set that is so under-performing as to be indisputable garbage, so long as it's different and interesting as far as what I can do with it as a tool for roleplay. I think the Homecoming Team are presently aiming in the middle of your point of view and my point of view. Frankly, I think they're leaning in your direction far more, considering the careful and deliberate pace they're moving at with the addition of new content. I think you'll be okay, Septipheran. Like I said earlier; I -get- being passionate about this game. I really do. So, yes; by every means! Share you feelings. And yes, it totally sucks that some people have used your thread for some really shitty behaviour. But at the end of the day . . . I think you'll be alright, and that your needs will be fulfilled by the Homecoming Team.
  8. uh, Heraclea? You have -unlimited- AE slots. Just roll another account.
  9. Well, other than Malta "going public," that sounds about right. More likely that Malta already just has a deep cover agent in the government who spearheads the initiative. That way they don't give up their (albeit flimsy) secrecy.
  10. With enough Range Boost, some people still -can- drag enemies in to Stores and Hospitals with Teleport Foe. Heck, I remember when the segmented stores were close enough to the surface that Teleport Foe didn't need any Range increase; you could teleport enemies from next block in to the store. I still occasionally find a Hellion in City Hall even these days.
  11. I like the Stateswoman idea, 24601. I do not like the redemption of Longbow idea, though. I'd rather they remain in their grey area, and the newly-dubbed Stateswoman distance herself from them.
  12. I look forward to seeing this level of customization make it in to Homecoming.
  13. A thought occurred to me while storing some Salvage tonight: It would be handy if we could have simple 3D assets added which display the various Salvage 2D assets on a wall-mountable disc. Then we can just pop the base item on the wall above the Storage Rack, and know exactly what's in that Rack. They'd also make good props for items to look at inside display cases or such. Maybe something similar for Enhancements and Inventions too?
  14. Thigh high stilettos too, then. No half measures! And yes: I -am- serious.
  15. Don't forget that there were also plans for Lady Grey to have actually been a Battalion plant, intentionally fomenting hostilities with the Rikti to prolong the conflict. It's alluded to in the comics, but I believe that it was also said that particular plot thread was abandoned quite a while back. Just something to let stew in the back of your brains, is all.
  16. Being able to flag a Contact as Active or Inactive would be wonderful. Or to flag Favourite Contacts for even more control over sorting. Granted, that would be a UI change, and I've heard time and again that UI changes are a pain and a half.
  17. My spouse does the same thing as Mister Greed on Everlasting, Munki.
  18. The new crash reporting tool, I think, is a great start. So if you can overstress your Wharf and get the game to crash to desktop after zoning in and out of the Wharf again and again, that might send the information to the Homecoming Team automatically. Try zoning between Kallisti, Night Ward, First Ward, and any number of public custom bases on your Shard, and see if you can overstress your RAM to that point too?
  19. I volunteer to be your Salvage dumpster!
  20. Yeah. A "Dump All" button would be immensely helpful! Also for Recipes, Enhancements, and Inspirations! Please and thank you! As would "Claim All" for Super Pack loot.
  21. My spouse is currently watching a series on Netflix which has a title roughly translated as "Is It Alright to Pick Up Girls While Dungeoneering?" It's apparently cute and compelling enough to keep her engaged with the series. She'll drop an anime in an instant if it's not really grabbing her interest.
  22. The Pride Global Channel used to do a Redside day of the week. I think we could try promoting something like that on Everlasting too! Pop in to the OOC Global Channel during primetime (8pm Eastern) on Friday, and we should be able to drum up some interest. I'll even pitch in by offering some perks and rewards for Villain milestones!
  23. Good point, tidge. Darrin's not dead, but his brain is pretty well baked. There's some potential there for a storyline which implies that he's back on his feet and pulling some strings, only for the mid-point twist to be: Nope. He really is in a permanent vegetative state, and whoever the REAL mastermind is behind the curtail is merely using Darrin's clout to further their aims and cast off suspicions from themself.
  24. I dunno . . . Garbage Assault could be a somewhat serious Set too, depending on the character's backstory. I'll +1 it, even though I can foresee some very problematic uses for such a Set. Although, an "Improvised Weapons" or "Bar Room Brawler" Set might be a better way to implement a similar theme.
  25. Holy silly of me to forget! Whip AND/OR Whip and Pistol Assault I figure that one is mostly self-explanatory, right?
