My spouse and I were discussing Star Trek: Picard this morning, talking about how if it didn't have Patrick Stewart while still calling itself Star Trek, we probably would have already stopped watching it. BUT if it didn't have Patrick Stewart AND didn't bother calling itself Star Trek, we'd be hooked. And then she came up with an interesting description: The Picard series is like the intestines of Star Trek, with new filling stuffed inside. I felt I should share.

  3. Hence the use of "retain" at the beginning of that sentence, Blackfeather. But you do make a very good point, siolfir. Is it possible to make a power self-target if you don't have an ally selected?
  4. Another idea for Faraday Cage; make it similar to Disruption Field: Cast it on an ally, who then becomes the anchor to the AoE. Retain the ability to cast it while under the effect of Hard Control, as a cunning player can use it as a Breakfree. Still think the duration and Cooldown should both be bumped up to the 90'ish seconds area in either case.

  7. Somewhat tangential to Incarnate Content, but severely exasperated by it, and Ura reminded me of it: 90 Power Slots in the Trays is not enough. Even before getting in to Incarnate territory, my bars are terribly full with Powers I frequently make use of, and while I've heard there are special "Pop Menus" for Macros, I've not really wrapped my head around making use of those yet. As we get more Incarnate Powers (assuming), unless they're all Auto Powers, then the limited Power Slots in Trays is just going to get even worse.

  11. Hell, let's turn it in to a mini-game! 1,000,000 Inf on Utility Belt coming out before Gadgetry! Reasoning? Slot'able Ninja Run a la Free Runnning will be more impactful than just Flight-again, but this time with Afterburner . . . again.
  12. Nah. We just need to have the ability to customize the elemental Blast Sets' animations so they emit from hand-held devices, like freeze guns.
  13. 100% agree that the Sonic Sets could use some hand-held sonic emitters as alternative animations.
  14. . . . not to get anyone's hopes up, as rumours being rumours there isn't any implicit guarantee here . . . buuuuut . . . There are Devs who are working on Vectored Knockback code. Something like that might be a stepping stone toward reorientation of "Up" on a per character basis. Don't you dare quote me on that, though!
  15. What if we bump up Faraday Cage to 95 second Duration and 90 second Cooldown, and have it stay on the caster rather than being a pseudopet drop? That should also solve the issue with it not inheriting the Resistance Enhancement Buff values.
  16. I'd also like to ask if it would be possible to get an alternate animation on Defibrillate? The slow-mo animations have always bugged me, so while this one is still in Beta, can we nip it in the bud and have some options for more consistently-paced animations? Like the wind-up time is spent with a ;scheme emote, then the jump-up and hand-slam portion of the animation takes place within a quarter of a second for an overall animation that's not floaty and gravity defying? Optionally, of course. I'm sure there are people who prefer the weird reduced-Gs animation(s).

  21. And enemies without lungs should be immune to Char and Cinders. But then the game would be a colossal pain in the ass; first for the Devs to make all those changes, and then for the players who had various Powers suddenly become useless against whole swathes of enemies.

  25. eh? I was honestly happy with Dark Melee already. A little AoE buffing is more systemic of the current overall meta of the game at large being City of AoE-DPS, which is something I'm not personally thrilled about anyway. The further we go down that particular rabbit hole, the more difficult it will be to invest in alternative solutions.
