Doesn't need smash/lethal defense or KB protection. Its fire, the entire concept of a farm is fire damage whose secondary is more damage which is negated by fire resist if it gets passed the fire defense with a failed defense check. You are way over slotted in Superior conditioning, but Ageless Core Epiphany has you covered as it completely caps recovery. You build looks like a cheap one, here is something that can tide you over until you can get an expensive build. This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.6.0 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! So a bit of a concept toon, 4 power picks in Dark and too many in Psi. Come to find out the damage is pretty piss on most things in game, but its fun. Dark Grasp is fitted for proc damage, its pretty nice locking down bosses and just ruining their day Fearsome Stare locks down stuff, Living shadows lock them in place. Heart of Darkness to stun, then Drain Psyche to boost health regen and can up to 100hp regen. With Hoarfrost, can take a hit pretty well Frozen Armor is just as good as Scorpion's Shield, Ice Mastery is a bit more investment in picks and slots. Was trying for something a bit more melee centric for fun, so more invested into Psi. Prefer Psi Dart and Subdue, decent animations vs the crappy hold the hand up and lean back. Took the two melee attack, had to slot Telekinetic thrust wit KD because its too high at mag 16. Psychic Shockwave is the center of the set, with Domination it makes for a good control if the stun procs. 48% lethal smash, to change out from ranged blasting to melee but its harder to hit things as they are just out of melee range. Its lacking compared to my Dark/Ice/Ice which is entirely ranged attack with 2 pets, the Dark/Psi is more endurance heavy than Dark/Ice. perma domination/hasten and Hoarfrost on another key bind it plays clunky with several other powers on plain key binds as well, its kind of difficult to hit the right keys comfortably. Considering binding some to the mouse, but that thing hates me and likes to change out DPI often when I don't touch it. tl;dr - need to cut some things while maintaining 180% recharge and at least 45% s/l defense or 48 preferred flight isn't used.
-
What might make a decent replacement Feral Charge from dominator. Range teleport attack, single target. Sounds fun. Need to get that dominator leveld up, almost have it so not much experience. Ultimately SM needs a pass, blood frenzy only works on 2 attacks so the side effects are tiny. Endurance Reduction is covered with IO slotting and eventually even the hast becomes less useful. It's not a bad set, just needs some improvement to get over the "meh" of hemorrhage.
-
With the way SM works, it would at least be an improvement. You tried a stalker with SM? Mines only 20 and lacks enough recharge but assassins strike grants blood frenzy, stack with the other attacks,, gets the orange circle and becomes an instant cast with some decent damagd. Edit : I want to throw my phone some days, freaking auto correct or fat thumb if off by a pixel.
-
Sure thing buddy, you asked for it Lunge and Boxing. One does more damage, both are poorly slotted. Swap it, lunge can be used when killing bosses. Health and stamina are over slotted, clearing a map is about speed not sustaining endurance. Pancreas +HP/End all you need Performance +End is all you need. 7.5% speed modify happens to be a whopping 1.03 MPH in swift. Your resist toggles don't need the regular Agesis +Resist, Res/End, End/Rech, Red/End/Rech. You are capped out with just the toggles, passive, and the massive amount of +6% resist in purpes and winter sets. Brute Unrelenting Fury : Adds +regen/end if you wanted, I generally avoid it Ageless Core Epiphany has all of the above covered Healing Flames - Preventive Medicine is a waste of 6 slots, Absorb being useless. Pancreas 5 slotted is enough and you will hardly be using the heal anyway. You are short .43% fire defense. If you want to AFK sometimes, it actually makes a difference if RNGesus doesn't hate you and a series of heavy hits puts you down when there is a cascading fail in tohit checks against you. Doesn't happen a lot, but annoying to come back to a face plant on a full briggs map SS is a waste of a power pick, Sprint and P2W sprint of your choice is all you need Clocks in 1.75% recharge faster, but once you pop Ageless its perma hasten. Ball Lighting and Electrifying Fences both have a -resist proc, little extra utility by avoiding Superior Frozen Blast (Thats in Throw Spines). Picked up both Ripper and throw spines, there damage isn't too bad if not for the animation itself and the animation time on ripper. Alternatively you could remove the the slots in Brawl to be 8.75% recharge slower, Ageless will Perma it anyway. Slot the 4 in Brawl as you wish, honestly damage procs in Quills and Blazing Aura are minisule at 4.5 damage more. Use Health procs if you wish, I hate spines because its so endurance hungry. Actually, swapping the Winters in Ripper to Quills or Blazing Aura would solve that. Both builds are +5 boosted, but its only needed on Maneuvers, Weave, Hasten. Can do CJ, it only boosts the defense portion. The KD procs in Ripper and Ball Lighting isn't really needed, but Winters/Purples are over loaded in +DMG anyway so its a good way to keep stuff in Burn for an extra few seconds. Ball Lighting Gets Ragnorok, it actually cuts a few seconds off compared to the Positrons Blast. Electrifying Fences doesn't change much for either set, so the purple really benefits Ball Lighting More.

This. Hemorrhage is a waste of a power, you can use any other attack and do about the same number of damage. And its not very useful for bosses or AV, can stack the ticks because of its duration but a waste of blood frenzy for the boost benefits. At least with Rending Flurry you can hit multiple targets. the tl;dr Hemorrhage needs front loaded damage to be useful.
-
Skip Hemorrhage, its a very slow DoT attack. Kind of like gloom.

Could literally just scroll down to the other 3 threads for spines/fire in 5 seconds

Target by threat level (Minion, Lt, Boss, EB, etc)
Outrider_01 replied to TheLeprechaun89's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Thats just it, its a tag. There is no command line like "next nearest target" which exists in the tab key for an invisible parameter. You can define by "Sapper" because it there is a tag for it in the form of a name. There is no real parameter for range to target, it just cycles. There is nothing but a display of the NPC level in the target window, which requires a target to begin with to determine what the NPC is. I don't think its possible to determine the NPC status without a target. -
Target by threat level (Minion, Lt, Boss, EB, etc)
Outrider_01 replied to TheLeprechaun89's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I can see it not being as simple as a command. Game doesnt really have a threat recognition command, just a level comparison with an adjustment to the threat in the target box, you have to target it first. Which is the complete opposite of the command request. Devs would neexto tag every boss for every faction to a new label of the category for the command to function -
Tweaked, run 83% S/L/F/C resist 45% Neg resist 50% Psi resist and soft cap to S/L defense. Can avoid about 3/4s of the attacks against you, than only pure damae attacks like dark blasts or fire blast. Psi/Toxic being so rare as it is end game, is kind of a waste to chase for since its so low to begin with.
-
Dominator rotating key bind, tapping forward triggers one and 1 more triggers the other. Got an Dark/Ice/Ice. Got enough recharge to put Hoarfrost on another key bind (perma with Incarnate)so it's effectively permant for 3 click powers on long recharge with just 2 keys

Brutes Unite! I need some help with a SS/Shield build.
Outrider_01 replied to Saevu26's topic in Brute
"Maybe make him better at S/L? " Defense? Cause shield is positional. If resist its lots of Franken slotting which is a pain in the ass. At work and can see the build, damn phone not letting me format as quotes 😡 -
Remove all movement penalties from Super Speed
Outrider_01 replied to xl8's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Have you used the current flight ? With Hover, Flight, and Evasive Maneuvers you get pretty decent speed, drift suppression 👌 of flight that was annoying, and can slot 2 LOTG recharge in 3 picks. Suppression doesn't even exist with Evasive and Hover, the stop'n'go is a little annoying but it's so much better now especially for range attacking. -
Lotg, stealth IO, defense procs, and its all slotable in 1 power. So not too bad, cheaper endurance cost than just sprint.

Spines/Fire/Fire AE Farming brute build review/help
Outrider_01 replied to Swervetactics's topic in Brute
How is a game mechanic that is 15 years old causing a build of any time period to be invalid? Its +resist +defense +recharge +tohit and move on from there. When IO sets came along, it actually became easier. People without a clue how to build pick up KB protection, the +5% resist IO, and over slotting stamina with 3 slots + health with 4 procs and picking up Superior Conditioning + Physical Perfection for more +endurance recovery. So many people seem to think a fire farm is PVE level content like its 2004, burn is less than 6 endurance and your toggles are barely push 1.5, my Savage melee/fire is 1.55/2.5 cost/recovery with sprint and 6 toggles. Incarnate power Destiny: Ageless Core Ephiphany lasts for 2 minutes and is a freaking Monster/Rockstar/Full Throttle, you cap out at 8.49 end per second, it drops to 7.2 for 30 seconds, 5.6 for 30 seconds, 4.2 for almost a minute. You cannot run out of endurance, period. Selecting all these powers and over slotting prevents them from picking up 1 extra AoE in the epics (which they select Energy Master for pointless passive endurance recovery) and they can't get decent set bonuses like global +recharge because they blew all those wasted slots in Stamina/Health so Burn only has 4; they also don't slot utility IOs that give -resist which increases the damage of the next hit. When people are suggesting something, it means the information is still valid regardless of age. -
Preventive Medicine: Absorb Proc... In "Rest?"
Outrider_01 replied to Vulpoid's topic in General Discussion
I didn't say it was a terrible choice, I said it was less than stellar Its next to useless in most regards because the restrictions are so limiting and I had it on one character, after a few weeks got rid of it because I noticed it only triggered 3 times and even not seeing it I questioned if it was useful at all. In a pinch is less useful if you have a heal you most likely recovered those lost hit points and the absorb is less helpful unless you are just debuffed to hell in -resist/-defense. Damage proc could go off 6 times in 90 seconds. A passive Numias, Regenerative Tissue, or Miracle provides a more consistent benefit. LoTG, Kismet, KB protection. Stealth IOs. Unbreakable Guard +HP, Steadfast and Agesis +Defense. The only limitation is the power it can be slotted in and if the character has access to that type of power; which you can get from power pools the AT doesn't have it. The only procs I am uneducated at are a +stun in End Mod sets which you can slot in Stamina (which would be weird if it triggered) and a -end in blast sets which is questionable. The purple stun that adds -Tohit...if its stunned its not fighting back and a single boss is easier to deal with when the minions are window licking. Dark Watchers -tohit set has -recharge, it already can't hit you so its kind of stupid to slow it down. Deflated Ego is -recovery, which again is kind of useless since it can't hit you and -recovery is less useful than -regen; overcome HPs fast enough and it doesn't matter if it can hit back 5 times more 30 seconds from now if you flattened it in 20 seconds before even getting to 30 seconds. If I was to list it in order of useful procs and the benefit the slot could be used anywhere else, the +Absorb would be near the bottom. Even the odd ones I listed, would trigger more often in PVP if you wanted to just cripple someone for the fun of it before you killed them as the +Absorb would require to you take a hit first like Defiance 1.0 to get the benefit. -
Preventive Medicine: Absorb Proc... In "Rest?"
Outrider_01 replied to Vulpoid's topic in General Discussion
The absorb proc is less than stellar and a waste, the requirements needed to trigger are low health below 75% with 10% low chance to trigger At 30% it triggers 100% chance and only every 90 seconds, it doesn't proc like Panacea +HP/Endurance. It's pretty unreliable for a proc with stringent requirements compared to a damage proc which only goes off x times a minute. -
