Have fun with full 360 degree on all axis with long rang and second if not first travel speed if SS has no elevation problems. You are gonna fall every port and its gonna look like one of those heart beat monitors. Now if the hover was equal to speed in flight for a short duration it might make it easier.
-
LOL welcome to consequence of choice. You can't have everything, like asking to be paid without working for it. All flight as one power? Because of height, fly was generally considered slowest travel with a penalty to accuracy (forget if it has one, haven't considered it in 15 years), with height you got easy range with ability to avoid a lot of baddies who don't have ability to move vertical. CJ with SJ? Have to balance by killing that "mandatory" +7.5 recharge fit, it is a jump power and defense is a bonus on the lesser which is a joke anyway. It just let's you slot IO. TP Ally and TP Foe? Laughable, its probably coded for one as a pseudo buff and and the other as an attack. Might be it, as TP group has no TP foe group alternative (lol OP AoE haxor! Easy mode), TP Ally and Group just have player tags and limit to group. Tough, Weave, Manuevers as auto? So you want no penalty to that none manditory power choice. All of a sudden it makes those powers more desirable, it becomes manditory for something you only take by choice, they are mostly picked for IOs. Endurance cost is your excuse for a silly suggestion, look for IO discounts, P2W has 3 minor buffs under temp powers with no ability to slot but passive or bring a buff friend. Leadership was meant for groups far before IO and 7.5% recharge/Build up proc. Hasten and SS? As you said, debatable but the fact that one speeds up everything is already the most powerful power pool pick by itself. More then 4 power pool limit? Its not a requirement to take any at all. Free fitness is pushing it, players seemed to think Stamina was a requirement bandaid crutch cop out for poor management of endurance cost....there are end reduced, discounts in IO, friendly buffers, and self teaching to not spam powers. More options will kill any reason to take powers already skipped for FOTM builds "since they will look better." Reason there is a cost for anything, it's called consequence or you end up a god killing everything...gets boring. 100 end, HP caps for each AT balanced around their roles, endurance costs to pick the ability for the right moment. Might was well go to Atlas and set brawl/origin newb power to auto, gonna get boring fast railroad spiking Skulls into the ground. Edit: I need to figure out how to make a signature, I have seen people with them. Got to say in it "I can be an a$$, don't get offended. It is who I am." I always seem to do that 😞
-
true, but I look at things as a whole. That means all sets together. If its different ATs, then its a different point of view and someone has to slap me upside the back of the head to point it out. 😝

Yeah, was at work. Less will drop but you should be killing faster when you max damage cap to make up for it. 1. Go to P2W vendor, Inspiration Drops, Reject Resurrection Inspirations, Reject Protection Inspirations (status protection), just below that Reject Medium and Large Inspirations. Now only the smallest will drop. 2. use this bind /bind ` "inspexec_name enrage$$inspcombine respite enrage$$inspcombine catch_a_breath enrage$$inspcombine insight enrage$$inspcombine sturdy enrage$$inspcombine luck enrage" Copy from / slash all the way to the end " parenthesis or it will mess up. Essential /bind -> enrage" and also after /bind is ` tilde key next to 1...you can /bind T or what ever of your choice key by changing it. (color doesn't matter, its just to make it more visible on the forum) 3. Buy 3 Greens, 3 Blues, 3 Yellows, 3 Oranges, 3 Purples. This will help you test and use the binding. That key will both USE small reds AND make them at the same time. Might want to try another character first, so you don't mess up your settings on the main one. Even a level 2 has 4 inspiration slots if you want to test it, just buy 3 of any kind and click that bind to get a red. Then try different colors to confirm it. 4. There are buffs at the P2W as well, You can find it at Wares>Temporary Powers>Combat>Recovery Serum / Medipack (seperate powers) Serum / Medipack are very cheap. Last buff, is Kinetic Damper same area but its just a Smash/Lethal damage resist toggle unless you really need it, it costs endurace to run. These powers are super cheap. 5. under Temp>Buffs>Amplifiers for 3 Survival/Offense/Defense buffs which give minor buffs to help cap out things like 45% soft cap or speed up the killing, but its very minor and at 50 its 2.5 million a pop. They do help though, these are passive buffs. 4 and 5 if its for a farmer, then its not really necessary. Can also change enrage in the line for "luck" but its a pain in the ass replacing every one of them, if you need defense. Other inspirations are up to you, but usually its +damage or +defense. and I hope this works. Trying to give step by steps instructions from the guy who told me about it, I am not so good at showing other people sometimes when repeating them 😖
-
That's the hard way. Easier to block out the larger and medium insp at the P2W, all awaken as well, and just eat the massive amount of small insp that drop converter to red. You don't really need a massive complicated macro it's just a simple bind to key.

Blasters... Power Thrust beats Ki Push for power Ki Push beats Power Thust in Style, even a boss can float away and be skeet shot down 😁

Combat attributes is just what your character has fitted, I don't see how you can apply it as a stat when not in combat. Power analyzer you got me, might of been after I stopped playing. Unless thats the tool tip window. I know people like numbers just in CoH a lot seems irrelevant unless you define it. Instead of arguing, lets come to an agreement and define worthwhile stats. Pure damage dealt is just hitting what ever is generated for that mission, one mission is 100k and the next 120k, would break down to completion time. More like badge tracking even if you exceed it and keep adding it, need a variable to calculate it otherwise its again completion time. Damage type dealt vs faction, Some factions are resistant and others weaker. Defense vs Resistance. Debuffs against it makes better tracking then running soft cap and max resist against a particular type. Archetype, some are faster at a specific job and some are better in given situations. IO vs SO, though very few run SO. Breaking it down more gives better results then X damage in given mission, just seems to be scooping water from a lake into a bucket. Always gonna get same or very similar results.
-
My point of view is rational from my perspective just as much of your to yourself. We are going to disagree which humans are very good at. I understand you want to track X damage in a mission and how much you resisted ect, I see a mission as a hit point pool of X damage and static damage received -90% if your capped. You are going to hit that max amount of hitpoint the game generates be it 10k or 100k anyway regardless to complete it and damage taken is skewed if there is a miss against you while you can tell that taken is only 90%, yeah you succeeded in a stat to track but compelition time is pretty much the only thing I can see a personal stat in CoH. Once you got that build completed its just smooth sailing to being trivial. And then you need to change it up, to find different thing to compare to the last build. Yeah I ramble, I just see as a you need wider things to compare then a couple of missions which can be predictable. You got to change things your self instead instead of running the same thing to see different stats, missions are pretty static unless you change your character.

They have personal lives? Small unpaid team doing it pretty much as a hobby and you as a person have higher expectations for not getting the memo? You can always play on the other servers? Are the other servers trying to run legit like HC? Are semi-private without the cost of lawyers, server costz and stuff, requiring donations to run? I am asking, as I see it nearly full time just dealing with the lawyers and making sure things are running smoothly, tweaks to balance stuff are easier then making an entire story board plt?
-
I have thought about it, I can see a point. But again, in CoH it seems kinda useless this. 1. Game pretty much fell behind, players have gotten to powerful. 2. So much knowledge has been collected, content is trivial when you already know what to expect; IO builds. When I hear stats its is generally competitively and I roll my eyes. When it comes to CoH now, its just so trivial in PVE I I just can't see anything of value outside of time. sorry if I come off as rude, its just who I am. Once you have the knowledge of how to improve and get very good at it, in my opinion you are already top dog to the point it is trivial to keep trying at the same thing and tracking performance of the same thing loses value unless you change it up. But in CoH, running powerful number crunched builds is personal peformance of a person.
-
You make no mention of solo or group. Solo, sure. In a group, I just can't see how self performance is an issue. I only sound negative because I have met so many assholes who hold those pixel numbers like it means something and talk down on people, I don't give a shit to hear self glorifying while they are sitting at the keyboard. Back in the day, it was a challenge in a group but I don't mean it was stupid hard or stupid easy...TO/DO/SO, the fact they wore out, stuff harder to deal with, and sometimes you were getting rocked hard when your group couldn't click at first, you actually had to learn. It was fun. Now, if it is "PI mission +4/8" and I feel a bit useless, whiffing and low damage don't do much when "ION JUDGEMENT" pops up so constanly. Incarnates just rock the missions solo while at least 6-7 are anchors in my opinion. Its just not a bad feeling, just want to feel more useful. But that is my opinion, in a group setting where everyone is just about equal in performance....blasters mostly gonna outdamage the melees with AoE, how do you score taunt, damage taken when things are held, would it even matter to track healing when almost everybody is running 45% positional defense? You get what I mean, to much to even bother tracking to get a viable score against them. Also for tracking stacks, its mostly damage taken / given / baddies killed...solo its just gonna be X / Y / X in "A Time Frame" which is gonna happen anyway and in a group as I said, why track everyone cause again CoH isn't challenging as you said since most missions are basically kill all; whats the point? Sounds boring, tracking PVP I can see that but not PVE unless you want to run the same content over and over to get a better time. Let me ask you, what would you be tracking anyway? Damage is mostly static, positional defense builds (unless running old school) kills damage taken, and healing...well either you are really good with resists and managing aggro or you healer types suck/very good themselves. I just can't see anything of value to track in CoH beyond PVP. Ah, someone mentions above me for different builds. I can understand that, but long time for no real reason, that seems a waste of effort.

Allow Mastermind Attacks to slot Mastermind ATO's
Outrider_01 replied to Bossk_Hogg's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Because; Reason - They don't care for min/max FOTMs that everyone else does. It is their personal choice. And they would like to see something done to them, even if they are weak pathetic attacks....nothing says they can't be improved. Personally, as you said the whips are cool....then I found out it was just the equivalent to the first rad blast as it recharged so fast. Nothing wrong with a buff. -
Martial Combat Ki push, sends targets flying back and slowly...skeet shooting anyone? Worth 6 slots ☺
-
Gonna suggest don't get the crappy cone melee thats like the 4th option in the secondary, terrible to line up and very long animation. Then again, I haven't looked at it in like 1.5 months, just hate that attack like a Vhaz plague. Sands of Mu, ok as your not gonna be using it long...that dot melee in actual melee sets blow period. Blasters are about hitting hard and quickly, not standing slapping things like 3 Stooges. But yeah, gonna look at ice/dark blaster I have at 12 as I been meaning to play it. Oh, and if you take boxing/maneuvers/toughness and still have a power pick left...Cross punch is awesome. Wide cone, very fast animation and recharge but doesn't hit hard.

Farming inf in AE after getting a l3 alpha?
Outrider_01 replied to squishyemp's topic in General Discussion
Look up Twisted Visage's maps, he made 3. 1. On the asteroid, very aggressive baddies that nearly self pull 2. Atlas city map, there is a trick to kill a particular hostage and the rest of the hostages turn into EB and killable. 3. Large city, think it's a ruin 1, I tend to avoid those as I get bored after awhile. I haven't incarnated this farmer, screwed the build and only about 75% of what I wanted so switching to another one and finish the 1st later. But it can run them +4/8 fine at 49 exmp, just slow. -
Game existed before it became a fad to ego stroke yourself and doesn't really work when you get incarnate, they just stomp anything except for a few trials. Doesn't even matter much since it is a team effort that finishes so tracking your own is kinda pointless, everyone contributes either as the tank/support/control/damage together without glorifying your self. Maybe when running scanner or paper missions since if you are the lowbie you can track how much you whiff and get a minor damage hit. Gonna get people debating against me, but consider the fact: your max level and fully kitted out then go to Atlas to railroad hellions or skulls into the ground....game is so easy now compared to the challenge when it came out so long ago.

Option to remove number-ticks from heal/absorb auras?
Outrider_01 replied to Lazarillo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I don't mind the heals from others, never bothered me on live. But the damage ticks and ION JUDGMENT! are annoying to watch from others. I you could turn it off on live. -
Charging for Powerlevelling to level 50

Increase the number of powers that can be placed in auto
Outrider_01 replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Click when you need it, assume its like a chess move and you have several options on how to devise a strategy. That is skill and effort, on when to use the power....not just fire and forget. Assuming you are playing a controller, do you need to drop 3 hard control AoE Hold / Stun / Immobilize....cause the skillfully smart player plans if they need a single AoE hold or the Stun / Immobilize which acts like a pseudo hold; Immobilize prevents wandering and the stun prevents fighting back. You don't need all 3 on the same group of baddies unless it exceed the target cap or a lot of misses. I want to add, auto fire powers beyond 1 is ridiculous. It isn't need, the way you put it is as a "QoL" issue you have, to do the simplest ability there is....click the damn power. It is a learning ability, when to do it and training yourself to be better, not "oh, I fogot so lets just automate" it like all these "Smart Gadgets" that are rolling around real life, christ there are smart vacumns....uh, why do humans need those? cause humans are getting lazy, even for a simple task as sucking up dust. -
Fulcrum Shift released from both ends
Outrider_01 replied to Klaleara's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Which part? Its the Internet, Sarcasm is still stuck in the 1.0 version and hasn't really upgraded beyond 1.1 as memes involving stupid pictures with words doesn't count. Up to you, not like you need a lot of powers in kinetic but if you want another power pick that is up to you. Kinetic gives you a lot of extra slots, cause you don't need to 6 slot everything. And you are following FOTM advise, go with your gut feeling if you want it or not...you don't always need to take the advise. People find a use for what are considered useless powers, Group Flight to rein in ranged pets which piss off group mates who can in fact turn the effect off with 5 minutes of your life, or knockback debuff powers but only retards don't understand some KB powers have things like debuff tohit in Hurricane before it knocks back, but it is not a Radiation toggle which debuffs everything so Hurricane has a penalty for using it...aka knockback, which you can fit that convert to KD IO. Basically you cannot stand in melee range while flooring tohit with Hurricane in total safety which has a pentaly of knockback to counter it; radiation set has the toggles for that and that cost is endurance from 2 toggles (debuff tohit/resist/damage/defense) There you go, you answered it yourself. It is a powerful buff, it needs a risk otherwise the game will just become city of faceroll even more. And ranged pets...swear there is this thing called Siphon power. Don't know about you, but I don't feel the need to turbo boost EVERYTHING to the max. The buff is only 30 seconds for Power and recharges in 20 while fulcrum is 60 recharge with 45 second duration...what ever you buffed will be dead with the ass kicking Incarnates do and if your lower level around when its available its not like it really needs to max out damage....there is things called Build Up / Red Skills / Debuff to resist to increase damage. One mans opinion is another mans snark (me). It is a strong power, more so as the guy who suggested that Transference be a range heal as well heal around himself (how you suggest with Fulcrum), while it is one of the few AoE target based heals in game; the penalty for the power is the range (and the aura splashes heals like Empathy has, less healing amount for no tohit check and total safety of using it except when hugging the tank). Or the other guy suggesting that Siphon power and siphon speed should debuff 16 AoE target cap, when in fact Kinetics area buff set not a debuff set like rad...sure it has tohit checks doesn't imply those powerful abilities are AoE debuffs aside from Fulcrum, the rest of the Kinetic set buffs. AoE debuff everything with a click...easy snore mode don't you think? Not talking about sets like Trick Arrow, it would step on the grounds of that set. Oh, and memory is fuzzy on the details but each foe hit actually summons a virtual pet which spawns and buffs before quickly disappearing; you can't cast the buff of 10 baddies around the melee and assume it will be the same from you for 10 foes. How do you factor in to buff ranged pets/players with the same buff as a those in melee? Increase the range of each hit foe on those virtual pets? Oops, let my snarky remark be....city of face roll with no penalty Quick check in game against melee - Def, Max range +50 bonus from self using Fulcrum. In melee range - +280, 30 Vigilance + 50 Self Fulcrum + 200 Fulcrum buff from Skulls. Over Powerd Faceroll much to cast around you, don't you think? And you think that is a QoL issue ? Ranged characters also have the advantage....not being hit by melee for being at range, regardless of the damage buff. Unless something changed in the powers, you do what is called "spamming" with abilities. The faster it recharges, you can stack Siphon Power and Speed..but at a minute for Speed I am not sure that is possible anymore. I know I could it at least twice, but this was about I12-I13 when I last played which on a Fire/Kinetic controller which made him a badass with all control powers up between groups while burning things that could not fight back. Not so much now 😢. Hmm, Speed barely stacks with itself on this Defender in game by itself, maybe that controller I had on live used hasten and a recharge enhancement. Oh god, both Power and Speed don't seem to stack the recharge is so long, even using Speed to boost the recharge of Power (Defender, no hasten). I might be wrong then, need to get that controller leveled up and rerolled on HC from live to get a feel for, he didn't really use IOs and it seems so difference. 😞 Not sure you can spam buffs and stack them anymore, disregard this stacking I am talking about. Fulcrum buffs, that is stacking from each foe and it can be any number hit to target cap. I want to comment, I shot level 10s with a level 40 defender. May seem meaningless on the level difference but it was to see the huge difference in hits, the unbuffed damage was about 200...buffed with 6 fulcrum hits it was about 550, in melee range. Imagine you are at range doing this...Fulcrum is very powerful at any level you use it, do you think ? -
Charging for Powerlevelling to level 50
Outrider_01 replied to Queen Nefertiti's topic in General Discussion
OP is from Indomitable I see. Blue B I might of had a minor PL and see you chat all the time. Sick in the head, guy crunches numbers that puts super computers to shame. Last week he ran a free farm, to get your own X Primar/Fire brute of your choice on a second account and to pay it forward. It did cost me 3 boosters as a tip. I also have the exact same build he has for this new brute, SS/Fire. Foot stomp is down to about 4 seconds or just under from what he said, from 20 recharge base 😝. Just can't afford it yet. -
Fulcrum Shift released from both ends
Outrider_01 replied to Klaleara's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Siphon power doesn't exist ? Even better with Siphon Speed? So you can stack buffs? Dang, didn't know that. Not like ranged need MAX damage buffs, the various AT tend to already be higher damage / self buffing or debuffing targets / larger AoE caps and radius/cone (which make up for the lesser damage, cause they are hitting a lot more targets) But thats my opinion. And it looks like Speed was fuxored with, I swear I could stack it like 3 times way back but my memory is fuzzy. At least twice though on a Fire/Kin controller but can't remember if I had Hasten, wasn't an uber farmer but fun to play while being its on DPS class in a group...though it looks like control powers got hit at some point with another I4 hammer, long after the actual I4. -
Increase the number of powers that can be placed in auto
Outrider_01 replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
tl;dr - Players got more lazy, even when the game craps out exp/influence while the numbers of min-maxing FOTM IO builds is so well understood and want it even easier. Set Hasten on autofire. Done! Set that Incarnate buff, DONE! Set those click accolades. DONE! Set that Time power Fade (which ever one is the defense, I can't remember) with Power Boost. Virtually Matrix Neo as your Def goes up to astronomical levels and you didn't have to think about it. DONE! Its like the game is so well understood that you can plan out to make it easier with an IO build already, get those Incarnate powers to make the build solid, and you don't want to think about clicking a handful of powers to boost them if not less. Also, being humans you should analyze the situation as it is and not set it up for the future cause again...its already easy. I keep repeating that word "easy" cause as the OP says You are already focused and enjoying while crunching that Mids build. Playing as is and slotting what comes up or planned without a IO set, in your mind you already know what you want. As for click status protection, I would agree but not as an extra free click. Its a stupid concept from live to "differentiate" since it interrupts you momentarily while fighting, not so much for power buffs like AM fired off before battle or an endurance drain power during battle. Electricity armor set for melee has that cool knockback resistance power that is auto unless your feet leave the ground...how do they have that idea but not the primary 1 all in toggle/click the Live Devs where already using ? (I mean, a separate auto status protection with specific requirements to utilize it, not a forget on power as that toggle/click) Instead of a click or freebie extra, separate the status protection into the various armors/defense toggles from the click and change that click to an auto to give a small bonus, like the armors give +4-6 max for each protection with the auto giving an extra 2 and some random resist/buff that fits the armor set. Making it easier to play by forgetting your powers aside from Hasten just dumbs down how easy HC version already vs Live is already.
