You misunderstood. Assume its an energy blast, 5 slot range IO set, throw a KB to KD set as the 6th slot. I was talking about only the one IO, as the 6th bonus in any set is usually meh and random...like mez resistance in some melee sets which most melee already have resistance to nearly every type. All the KB sets are ass and should be altered to give damage or way better bonuses...maybe a mag reduction as well as you suggested (one give +3 status protection, nice for a squishy). Any power with knockback is either punt to the other end of the block and Up/Down which you don't want to mess with. Except for Ki Focus in the blaster Martial Combat Secondary...I laugh every time you essentially power push the punk and they fly slowly up, away, while rag dolling as you shoot them like a skeet contest with a shotgun. Ki Focus is half the KB mag as power push, has repel and a wacky hold value. But the slow flying...worth 6 slotting with knockback distance (no knockdown convert IO) just to send a boss flying into the War Wall from the other side of the zone or maybe an AV when triangles down 🤣

Agreed. Rolled an Mace/electric brute, different AT but you can't go wrong with mace. Very satisfying smacking things around, even better when you use the wrench graphic 😆 -

HC made Sentinels or did they finish something from live that was never finished? Haven't really played them but was hard to believe that they would make a pure range with status protection and defense/resist AT. -
HO values are inconstant between tasks

What is the value of a HO vs a merit? Can't the TFs you mentioned be speed run? Not even sure myself, never participated but see a lot of "speed run" to form so the value of a merit would be less if if you can run it quickly if you think about it. TF are a total of 8 people. HO raid would be harder so the value goes up for the effort of a merit. It requires more heroes than a TF to defeat Hamidon so you get more. HO went from the most valuable and prized item in the game as what ever dropped (reward windows didn't exist back then unless a special case for Hamidon) when merits didn't exist which results in being the runner up prize, merits allow more options does it not? As for how many HO I got no option or thoughts on the matter. -
There is an IO that fixes the problem. No, the IO doesn't compromise builds builds as most bonus 6 are kinda "meh" , the KB/KD IO is no different than a proc which you don't always need to add a bonus damage or debuff, and you don't need to always FOTM the same as everyone else. Realistically KB is fine, its the idiotic way people use it. Try educating them when and how, ask them to not use the power. Biggest key component to understanding advancees education of people instead of just complaining about personal issues of a game mechanic. My biggest beef in the game is MM pets cause choke points and caves don't need require AI spaz blocking me from even doing anything. Should MM pets be removed because the owner is pissing me off or educated that -2 one shot cannon fodder necessary running +4/8 content when those 3 minions are -6 levels? Personal opinion, at creation the Devs had no idea that 1/2 the map types are office/cave/sewars choke points that come up up 90% of the time. They also forgot it was a team game, not crappy moron AI weak pets...but there is no way to fix that.

There are no superheroes. Dev's should remove HC. Realistically, it would not be an "event" if it ran seasonal. The effects are part of an event for Christmas, not a effect for the year. Halloween is 1 day, how do you run it "seasonal" when its an event that runs for a few weeks with a few ghosts? Thanksgiving got almost nothing. Valentines is early spring, how long do you run it and with what effects aside from a mission? Rikti invasion all over paragon way back was a 1 time event, now I don't even know if something else happens and Mothership isn't what I am talking about. -

Personal opinion is it is a waste of time. Game craps out Inf, Exp, Salvage, and Recipe faster then I can use it. The whites and yellows total together being sold on the AH is like 10 million. I farm slowly cause I don't have an optimal build but after 3-4 runs I can go from 0 to 150 sometimes while and make 8 IOs from random sets if I wanted too but it is always the worthles ones

Kinda useless I remember it back in the day but even then the exp was crap. Was mostly for back lore and kill count missions in my opinion, missions give way more exp to bother even with street sweeping...which means less exp for less effort cause it's so much safer as you can recover vs close spawns in a mission.

Isn't /ah the same? can use auction house anywhere outside a mission or SG, unless the BM *Beavis/Butthead giggle "He said BM* doesn't tax or has a feature I don't know about.

Knockback is fine, there is a IO that fixes it. Other thread is people complaining they don't want to compromise builds, suck it up buttercups. Bandaid fix for a "QoL Personal" issue that people throw shit around or whining someone else is doing it. Instead of breaking a mechanic, global bandaid slots on brawl/rest/fitness, or a accolade click (cause passive would break inherent knockback in the weaker powers like KU/KD) simply buff the weak IO set of KB that no one really uses. Add damage, set bonus that reduces KB, another converter or proc ect...how many plus rech/acc/mezz rez/resist/def/regen/rec do we need?

Trying to set permission on enhancement tables so my charactes can grab old enhancements after I respec. Problem is, the window isn't showing properly Top tab appears normal but the text window is like 1/4 of the size. Similar effect in the AE creater, that EXP bar when creating stretches clear across the entire screen starting half inch on the left covering the (Tanker) options and goes off the right side. Tried scale options, text sizes, and resolution getting no effect.

Probably easier to code so it shows on the bottom of the powers tab and under the phone book / encyclopedia set of IO bonuses. Not even sure they fudge the ID anyway, now it might be blank tab anyway with multiple tabs in the ID and the date is coded on there regardless; I remember when it was just bio and powers...with no bio it was just the powers. The PVP tab is useless anyway, never existed when I started, PvP was kinda a bindary joke, and the younger generation seems to be obsessed with stats just for ego stroking...god there is so many assholes in competitive games if you don't measure up to "their own" standards, like I give a shit about "e-sport is a sport but is a joke" anyway. -

Numbers might be fudge a bit, was trying a couple of set ups and if anyone wants to verify or correct me when I looked at it. 6 slotted, to see what the most you can gain with Farsight/Power Boost. Farsight Luck - Defence/End/Rech Def Def/Rec Reactive - Def/Rech Def/End/Rech Def Duration time - 120 Recharge -125 , no hasten Defense All Types - 32.7%, no CJ or Maneuvers, or extra toggles. That is with just a couple of random IO sets going for Def and Rech mostly. 3 Def, 2 Rech plain level 50 IO it comes 32.1% Defense while recharging in 130 seconds for 120 duration. 3 Def, 3 Rech, plain level 50 IO its 120.6 32.1% Defense while recharging in 120.6 seconds for 120 duration. Throw in Hasten or +Recharge, effectively you become Neo dodging bullets. And you teammates. Throw in self buffs for everyone with IO sets.... Is the power combo together waaaayyyyy Over 9000!!! Powered. Can someone correct me so I don't look like an idiot, I wanted to look into yet it from Mids my opinion is... Duration is too long Recharge is effectively too short, after IO set bonus or recharge enhancements. With Hasten? Power Boost is 15 duration, , 2 min recharge, but who cares with a 2 second cast of Farsight. Defense Bonus is insane afterwards. Assuming this power is 6 slotted, though most builds seem to try to reduce where possible and crunch them else where. Caster is The Flash able too cast on self. And your teammates, Neo. Dodging attacks like champs. I don't know, sometimes I like to see things for myself and sometimes I jump to conclusions, But this is just paper desktop theory 🤔 -

The idea of scaling cost is a good one, better then a freebie. I still dislike the idea of free fitness as much as zero cost tier 1s, looking at all the turbo incarnate builds and such Stamina isn't needed with the usual 1 slot while health gets the 2 proc endurance healing IO. Yet so many are rolling with the leadership and tough pools the free Stamina by itself is over taxed if melee are running thier normal defense/resist/mez toggles, as now 4 toggle power pool are replacing the old "manditory we got to give up for 3 choices" like you need the 3-4 powers. -

And I suggest you at least read this post. I am trying to be nice here. Gonna nitpick a lot of stuff and its kinda all over the place instead of an order that makes sense. They don't understand that Energy Torrent is a bad idea into a group of NPC, single target is fine because guess what....you don't need to kill all of them as the other person is deal with it. Makes you a dick. Dealt with another guy, same response he had like yours and this was about Group Fly. He hated it, the one teammate MM using it was trying to reel in his bots, and it made this guy livid. Funny thing is, you can turn off the Group (Whatever powers) and some effects like the run in speed boost...he didn't want to spend 5 minutes in pocket D to turn them off and this was a 1 time deal per character to make life better for himself. He just refused and "waste of 5 minutes of his life." Turns out, he could just deal with the problem faster than he kept trying to defend his attitude over 2 days I was trying to convince him. Toggle around self or target? Turns out, Hurricane is superior because it revolves around the player and yet Radiation has 2 debuff toggles...worthless in an incarnate group against your normal bosses since they get stomped so hard while that toggle is running on a dead boss, minions obliterated, and the group is already moving on....the guy with Hurricane just can keep it going...provided he is not an idiot. Rad works fine on an AV, not so much against your normal NPC group facerolling content. Cause again, they are idiots. Did you bother to try to teach them? Do you even know how it is best to be applied? Try asking in the support AT forums how it is possible to deal with it, roll a storm set of your own and learn yourself. With incarnate? Cause that is pretty much what you will see unless your running actual content. At this point, just put your fastest recharge attack preferably range on auto-fire and hit tab. Your narrow minded. Open up to the possibility of how its used, other wise we would still be living with the belief of voodo magic and not talking on the internet....this means that the world revolves around innovation, open mindedness, and advancement of knowledge. Otherwise you would be sitting in a cave sprinkling ink on a cave wall right now. See above, your acting childish and a dick. I would be kicking everyone with "The" "Of" in the title , the obvious Copyright ripoffs, the ugly ass costumes, eye sore auras that can't be turned off in MY OPTIONS, and people with titles longer then a snipe power. Assuming you played shortly before Hollows was released, I would of been playing longer before The Hollows was released. Nobody knew how to use Hurricane at the time, but one person learned it, passed that on, it made its way to the forums, and the information made it a choice to take to be utilized with out being an idiot. So you are gonna throw in a straw hat argument about melee when -tohit is the penalty for trying to slug it out with a sorcerer? Assuming its the plain 1 ACC, 1 Rech, 1 End Reduc, and 3 Dam set up of old...your gonna miss a lot throwing that punch. This statement has no validation unless we are talking only about range but you are throwing out melee, turns out there are 3 effects....-tohit, -range, and knockback. Melee are gonna miss more often, now using IO that is a whole other story. And when triangles are in the wrong direction, all debuffs are pretty much useless. Please tell me I am wrong, some debuffs become useless but there are debuffs that have a minor usefulness when they are in the wrong direction. Foot, meet mouth. You can't seem to work with them, refuse to do so, won't learn how it is best applied, and will probably not even bother to ask how from the experienced players nor will you roll a storm yourself. kelika2, for fun roll a blaster with Martial Combat secondary. That first power makes me giggle every time, its the only repel power in the set but the target moves slowly. Its like skeet shooting. Heh, look at Sonic and that player anchor resist debuff. Swap to knockback, make that tank scream in frustration. -

Unless you have window licker idiots using it and don't understand, then it is a pain in the ass member. When you want another brute, mace/electric is fun. Has a +recharge passive which saves some slots for other powers and decent resistance. Not IO or incarnate but it's so satisfy slugging things....with the wrench graphic. 😆 Want to do a mace/energy aura.

I am curious what games you or others have played that makes people complain and use the term "group" griefing. Griefing in video games is harassing someone and enjoying the suffering it causes while the person recieving it becomes distressed. That has been a long definition. Your definition is misleading in a way and your are becomming distressed over your misunderstanding of the situation leading you to blame the other person. Yes the powers knock back, it is annoying as hell, and scattered stuff is harder to kill. The person using it is completely cluless how to use Hurricane leaving it on a toggle. Pushing stuff into a corner, groups them up. That isn't griefing, the person doesn't know how to use it; teach them and it's less of a problem. TELL THEM HOW TO USE IT. If they can't, then ask them to not use it. Pushing into a corner, game breaking. It's a herding and controlling power, so long as you know how to use it. Tank moves the in a direction, you come in at an angle towards a corner, done. You ever see those weird ending hallways were groups spawn, easy. Knocks stuff backward into wall, they can't even hit back from the mechanic...so long as you understand it. Out in an open map, different situation. It's an OH SHIT power that scatters stuff to keep your support ATs alive. Gives them breathing room. I have given you 2 situations. The person using it is like an idiot and you don't understand how it can best be deployed. So enemy NPC don't have ranged? Wierd, cause if your aggressive and run up they get scatterd, dumb AI still has that debuff for a few more seconds and the AI will try to melee or run around with nothing to do until it wears off. Yeah it is a few seconds but it adds up. Bonus defense, can't complain. -tohit is the other side of the equation of defences. And a knock down conversion IO does exist, though I don't know how useful it is if the effect stacks to much. -
Sentinels a bit of a cop out for range, but that is a bit of my old school thought from blasters I want to play sents, but just can't find the combo I want. Will have to look at them again at them, but will power sounds a bit of an weird combo because I didn't play it much while I got a bit of a close range vibe from it. Funn secondary for a blaster is /Martial Combat, playing with water but considering ice primaries. Martial combat has a stupidly funny first punch like power thrust, but it travels so slow and rag dolls across walls or objects; even better out side its like skeet shooting as they fly away slowly. I laugh every time.

that's not game breaking. Slot accuracy and the cost of endurance is negated when it hits. There should always be a cost, other wise might as well ask for zero cost on everything.
