  1. There's a zone event in Neutropolis called The Great Escape which has plenty of Ghouls and Failed Experiments. It requires you to pick the Loyalist option for the event to fight them, though, otherwise you're on the ghouls' side fighting the PPD.
  2. The premise of this thread is that LotG+7.5% forces people to use up power picks and slots for muling IOs. Adding more LotG+7.5% clones would let people take the rech buff AND choose other powers or use those slots elsewhere. That is some level of power creep, albeit arguable how much. Let's start with: universal travel IOs can be slotted into all the prestige sprints.
  3. FARMERS ARE THE POOR OPPRESSED UNDERCLASS! MARKETEERS ARE CAUSING DAILY INFLATION OF TEN THOUSAND PERCENT!! PVPERS STABBED ME IN THE BACK WHILE I WAS LEVELLING IN ATLAS AND EMPTIED MY POCKETS!!! ROLEPLAYERS ARE ROLEPLAYING BEING RICH AND STEALING ALL MY INF SOMEHOW!!!! ETA: Sorry, I forgot that THE GAME IS DOOOOOOOOOOMED!
  4. Facts haven't helped yet, and we're on page 48.
  5. There's a front ended effort/learning curve on any way of making inf faster in the game: marketeering, farming, speed-running for merits. Marketeering is one of the easiest ones, since there are several extremely simple guides out there for how to get started in converter roulette.
  6. It would be really neat to be able to use alts as character models to stand in the base.
  7. Duoing an ITF is a ton of fun, and not terribly hard. I just duoed it on a Dual Pistols/Martial Combat Blaster along with a Thermal/Sonic Defender, and it was a fun time. I think we did it on 0/8, and it went pretty smoothly.
  8. Okay, what do you think the purpose of a Hasten nerf would be, then?
  9. It isn't the +def, it's the mobs running around underneath you, desperately trying to find a path to you and occasionally firing off plinky little ranged attacks. I hover-tanked Romulus a couple of days ago, and he basically spent the whole fight jumping on and off a wall.
  10. The reworked Anti-Matter Army arc from Tina has Praetorians travelling to a couple of different dimensions with speeded-up time. They also know about Warrior Earth, which you visit in A Hero's Epic.
  11. If you don't want to stop people being able to perma PA or Chronoshift, why bother to nerf Hasten in the first place? Literally the only reason to nerf Hasten would be its effects on other powers. By itself, Hasten is completely useless and has no effect on anything or anyone. Nerfing Hasten and then reworking the powers that are most significantly affected by Hasten in order to undo the effect of the Hasten nerf would be completely bonkers. That wouldn't be so much 'nerfing Hasten' as 'applying a significant buff by giving the big recharge-dependent powers the benefit of Hasten without needing a power pick or slots'.
  12. Empath is pretty easy to get, though, in these Incarnated days. I don't mind some grindy badges, as long as they're added in moderation.
  13. I proposed an idea before to go in tandem with reimplementing prestige purely as a measure of bragging rights: replace the giant statue over the base portal with a hologram statue of the leader of the SG with the most prestige, with a matching statue somewhere Redside. On reflection, though, this maybe doesn't need prestige. Replace all four statues in Atlas with hologram statues, with a terminal next to each one. By spending any amount of inf that is larger than the previous payment, a character can have the statue turn into them. When a payment of 2 billion is made, the statue is fixed as that character for an hour, then resets. Otherwise it resets once per day.
  14. This is actually a deliberate part of the AH set-up on HC, intended to help move inf from high-level characters to low-level ones.
  15. If you can dig out any old hard drives, backups etc, then saved costume files will load into the game more-or-less okay. If you have any of the Sentinel+ format export files, there's a parser on Titan City that will extract the costumes from them.
  16. It's basically the SO equivalent of paying Buy it Nao prices the AH. In either case, you can be patient, take a little more time and save inf, or you can choose to spend more inf to save yourself some time. It's all a question of which you value most in that moment, time or inf.
  17. Night Ward is so messed up anyway, and so full of magic running around all over the place, why not just have a weird portal suddenly appear in Night Ward Midnighter Mansion, and have it lead to perfectly normal Cimerora? Stick a spell next to it to say "We don't know where this came from or where it leads! Enter at your own peril!" Call it...a manifestation of interdimensional magic resonance triggered by the creation of the TUNNEL system.
  18. The more people in this thread talk about farming, the weirder it sounds.
  19. Maybe they have a gigantic stock of thousands of LotG +rech stashed away? Or possible just a deep sense of nostalgia for paying 75 million each for them on live?
  20. I actually really like the little touches in the I-trials like the Apex Battle Maiden fight. They're different to normal play, but they aren't so difficult that I (not a very good gamer, to be truthful) feel shut out of the content, and they don't demand particular team configurations. The first time I ever did an Apex I faceplanted so many times, but a few runs later I started to get the hang of it. And I remember when each of the trials first came out, everyone trying to figure out the mechanics and how best to deal with them. I enjoyed that.
  21. That is the literal definition of an exploit, yes. This is exactly how devs should handle exploits: look at what effect it's having on the game as a whole, and then prioritize a fix accordingly. Just because something doesn't get hotfixed as soon as it's identified doesn't mean it's not an exploit. This happened over and over with AE on live. You could tell that a new AE exploit had been found because it had incredible characteristic effects on market prices. As long as it didn't spread out of control the devs would quietly fix it some time later. The only time they acted immediately was when the exploit was too egregious to ignore, and people were filling toon after toon to the inf cap, like with the MM exploit (I think that was the one). Then they shut the AE down for a few days while they hotfixed the problem. But obviously it's better to take a measured, proportionate approach and schedule fixes into the normal development stream.
  22. AFAIK, Bubblewrap is (or at least was) working with Ourodev. Their asymmetric costume piece work has been available on some of the other private servers for quite some time.
  23. Reactivate Supergroup Prestige, but keep all base items, upkeep etc, free. Prestige will have no effect on base function. Remove the statue over the base portal in Atlas, and replace it with one that uses the phasing tech to display a frequently updating hologram statue of the leader of the sg on that shard with the highest prestige. Have an info terminal next to it that displays the top ten for the shard. Put an equivalent somewhere on Redside.
