  1. even 20m for the stats is a little much considering there are 4 of them available variants like +end for 2m, +hp for 3m, combos are 5m each would definitely flush inf regularly
  2. an alternative that would also be a solid money sink is to have the hp/end accolades be available from the start vendor. colored differently and no badge and does not stack.

Regular build up for all ATs, give the old siphon effect to all attacks at whatever chances and whatever +dmg with whatever duration. like if the AoEs gave +dmg it would not give as much because it has a chance to go off on every target hit focused burst/conc strike just does not do enough damage for its animation time knockback is always trash, torrent can do with a knockdown or flat removal the whole siphon thing sounds great on paper but it does not work well with how the game is now. groups of enemies die in seconds, and the timer on the siphons are not long. you wont be able to use whatever +dmg you made on the next group due to them falling off. and worse yet, in raids where you tend to have a lot of +dmg you still suck. because if i were to guess the base numbers on kinetic melee are low to account for the theoretical +dmg you siphon and the ancient devs didnt want probable beasts hypothetically running around on second thought i have like 4 or 5 kinetic melee stalkers that i love playing and buffing things for the other ATs might end up nerfing stalkers so nevermind

Sonic Siphon - add a chain effect to this that loses -resist with each jump. bouncing sound and all that Sonic Dispersion - add knockback protection Clarity - add knockback resistance Liquefy - add -resist Sonic Repulsion redesign - still a pbaoe toggle but this snares and "knockdown" a target, but in reality it triggers ragdoll without really moving it. rename it to something Inner Ear-ry like Endurance drain resistance - put it on one of the bubbles, dont really matter. vibrations and stuff disrupt electronics or so google tells me after i lazily looked up some stuff. or add a little bit of end resist to all 3 bubbles to stack them up to something noticeable
  7. removing -recovery from super stunners self rez adding misc end drain resist to various support sets. sonic, thermal, etc o2 boost reducing cost of powers, does not stack

You know how other sets have that lingering buff thing when you leave range of the caster for a few moments? can ffg get this? the FFG sometimes just bugs out in various ways that can leave you defenseless, a lingering buff that steamy mist/shadowfall/dispersion bubbles have could bridge the actual gaps FFG leaves behind

  10. fire, ice, water >>> storm. these are primaries with rains trick arrow, marine, dark, cold dom, storm. these are secondaries with wide-area-slow effects to keep shit in the rains. the starting power "taser" can be used to light your oil slick here is a warning, going trick arrow will make it hard to go back to anything else. my fire and ice/trick arrow corrs skyrocketed to 50 and kept going until vet level 60something
  11. assuming you are they are being attacked you can switch to bodyguard and then goto command to get them attacking again
  12. thats another thing, i dont even go for the accolades anymore the one-shot code protects us way more than a little bit more health i join tfs for the exp and stuff i can sell for cash rewards thats why im so nonchalant about being able to invite others to a tf. i just dont care about the badge. and even then someone on excelsior sets up a group so you can get the hp thingy in like 10-15 minutes on villain side regularly so even the old devs at some point thought that was not super important as well i also dont recall said person selling spots or kicking someone near the end either

It is either contrarianism or people who dont get very far, like level 15max but still claim to be experts. and if, you can imagine it, old warcraft theorycrafters vs practicality. on paper vs function other factors can be something like if the team has a cold dom and everyone has high defenses as it is and just plowing through the mission the said poison user isnt being super helpful but not useless either so they can claim poison is good. and to top all that off, city of heroes is not a hard game most of the time. and the times where you make it hard people are not asking for a poison user between chance to miss travel time on said spits. like if you use the -acc spit on an unagroed group they should hit you with an alpha strike before the -acc is applied to their rolls and the splash effect was a nice improvement to poison but half power on all but primary is.. pretty low. -25% tohit on main target and 12.5% on everything else isnt much when something like trick arrow, dark miasma or third thing is bringing in the -tohit way harder and more reliable anyways, 1000 character slots, just be yourself, yaddayaddayadda this is one of those things you have to experience yourself if you are not convinced

City of Heroes is not the status board minmax game with extreme competition esports festival some people think it is. i would love to be able to replace some people in a task force and i personally dont care if they get the badge at the end you sure as hell dont see people selling slots in patron power unlock missions
  18. energy/bio scrapper set the bar too high for me and i cant enjoy other scrappers anymore
  19. im getting angry at the idea of lethal defense being so high because of how parry works but being kinda weak to smashing but if you IO up for smash/lethal defense the lethal defense will be overcap and not needed to begin with how do you do it
  20. Blasters - ranged defense. You have access to a lot of attacks that all take Mako's Bite/thunderstrike/artillery and getting ranged defense cap is easy. Top that off with most IO enhancements giving you a healthy amount of recharge naturally I dont know why most go permahasten. and yes, i have some permahasten blasters Corrs/defenders - almost all permahasten Most melee - defenses, whatever its weak to or needs help with. only one is permahasten but thats because i was board and wanted to see how high i can get recharge on old regen troll/dom - almost all permahasten sentinels - almost all ranged defenses, some melee defense if ranged too high masterminds - none of my masterminds have hasten anymore and most tote around 50-70% global recharge while pet powers are generally frankenslotted to hell to max acc/dmg/end and/or def and aura buffs hero epic ats i only enjoyed permahasten. i tried ranged defense but between the knockback tax and lack of slots it just didnt work out villain epic ats i only enjoyed permahasten crab/fort. i tried ranged defense wolf/bane/crab(nopet) and all ended not fun as the original -- bullshit specific specs +dmg ma/sr tanker, kinda fun. with light IOs im able to hit 45% def to all in really low levels +dmg widow. hitting the defense cap is also easy here after 50 because membranes in link minds is nuts, couple that with leadership and yeah i think im running around with constant +60% dmg
  21. oh, i used the wrong number. i meant level 2. creation(1) is the hold and bone smasher level 2 is immobilize, aoe immobilize or power bolt.
  22. I think some power set combos just dont allow for minmax like that like, my plant/energy dom is forced to take crap, or crap, or crap at level 4.
