  1. Scroll up, my first post in this thread was about all the wrong things about Knockback. Nothing is being transformed, just you hopping in at the end of this and making assumptions. Partial quoting because of the length of the post
  2. Why does one of those factors need to be Knockback from other players who do not care about the rest of the group? I can understand some stuff like Malta Sappers needing to be targeted first, or maybe that one Psi dmg map no one is prepared for and gatta take it slow But why does one of those factors needs to be another player making the game worse/longer?
  3. And I said before, it is easier on you because you are the one doing it. And a great many people do not have Knockback in their sets.   4. If pushing a button and leaving it on for the duration of a group/task force makes you feel like a victim then there are more deep rooted problems here. Only the people who are doing the knockback are praising Knockback. In groups there is very extremely little call for Knockback. Adding a toggle will fix the issue of inviting an energy/storm/whatever to a group. Remember, you are not the victim.

Turning on a different kind of ammunition that is an upgrade in every way shouldnt stop knockback And this one I do not remember clearly but Foot Stomp knocking back and later changed to a Knockdown Times change and people should grow up, scattering a battlefield might seem fun to the teenagers we used to be but not anymore. My energy/energy blaster can still flop an entire group of enemies on their back without throwing them around thanks to Sudden Acceleration. My Fire Controls have another soft control thanks to SA. My Fiery Armors have another attack that happens to be triggered by dying accidentally thanks to Overwhelming Force. My Robots/Ninjas/Mercs can bitch juggle constantly thanks to SA/OF. So many other sets were made better/playable with the introduction of Overwhelming Force, but limited by the uniqueness And then here comes this server with Sudden Acceleration making everything that much better. The Toggle idea would fix everything. People soloing can still play around reliving their past, but people who want to group and play with others can still fulfill the knockdown soft control while not making others lives worse.
  6. I disagree with this because while Sudden Acceleration/Overwhelming Force is a thing, it should not be a luxury thing. Luxury for both having the Inf to buy them and the extra slot for them.
  7. Both Solar Flares for Peacebringers are a mag .67. Both human and dwarf. and unless you are fighting something weak to knockback they knockdown.

Then he started making that squeaking/squealing sound from rubbing his hand across the plastic? Remember what he said? "I think its easier on me because Im the one doing it" If you are solo, I do not care what you knockback. But in a group you need to cut that crap out or slot KB to KD enhancements if you want to freely use Energy Blast/robots/storm/whatever else. Knockbacks slow groups down, other peoples AoEs of varying types do not get a chance to land Hey Storm user with hurricane on thinking you are awesome standing in a choke point with an ambush coming: You are not helping, there are tons of other powers to deal with that crap Hey Force Fielder using Force Bubble in a TV reactor trial You are not helping, spreading them out means they die slower. Hey Energy Blast using their AoEs all willynilly You are not helping, even not helping yourself. Whats the point of the follow up AoE if your first AoE knocked targets out of range? Hey Gravity Control person who is using Wormhole on the group we are currently fighting You are not helping Hey Ice/earth control guy who is running Synapes: guess what clockwork are weak to knockback and you scattering everything is not helping. Hey Dual Pistols who is doing a no Swap Ammo challenge run? There is a special place in the rogue isles for you. Think of others the next time you are about to press the knockback/scattering ability thats only really fun to you because you are the one doing it.
  9. Assault rifle is held with right, shield is on the left.. possible clipping. Id be on board with it While Dual Pistols animations are that of a muppet on coke, maybe Flamboyant Riot Shield Man? Would also be a perfect fit for Elec Blast since they will be in melee anyways for Short Circuit

And dont gimme that individual pet control scheme junk Bubbles Dark Radiation Traps Cold dom These are the best sets to keep your pets alive and believe it when I say there is not much else to do after getting your big -tohit, or bubble(s) out for most of the game as everything gets plowed down Personal attacks have a place in masterminds, its just people need to let go of the "pure emp no attacks lft" smugness mentality
  11. I have a Master Roshi ripoff that is kin/wp scrapper. ATO crit chance proc makes Conc strike not that bad And KB to KD in the cone attack just feels right Also have a kin/fire stalker ATO set in AS Burst has a 50%+ chance to crit from hide/placate Think Burn also has a 50% chance to crit from hide/placate And the forced crit from Placate/ATO proc makes Conc Strike amazing to keep that buildup going
  12. Rifle really needs a build up. Between having some of the most resisted damage in the game and mostly aoe you really need that boost. Tactical Operative never suppresses its cloaking, so you are perma invis. And AR/EM worked for me because EM was so light on power slots/enhancement slots I was able to slot Knockback to Knockdown in Buckshot and M30 grenade so I can AoE freely Also Energize is the least costume intrusive blaster recovery/regen power out of all of them.
  13. Also, I am not complaining. Crab spiders drastically change when perma hasten is acquired.
  14. I refuse to believe that the 6 or 7 characters I had earlier that needed 10-20 enhancements each magically buy them by the next day by other players. Especially stuff like Decimation/Call to Arms/Basilisk's eye

I know you are trying to sound smart/get the last word in but dude 1 person (hurricane griefer) is causing problems for the other 7 people and take this thread for example, you and others are being told No/Stop and you are sperging out hardcore Now imagine that level of spergism in-game of that one griefer violently lashing out wanting to use said griefer power They get one warning, most people take it, or they get the boot. Simple, harsh, but simple. And your low hanging fruit replies will not change this Hurricane sucks 99% of the people who actually have hurricane dont know how to use it (as admitted by many in this thread) are just flat out not worth dealing with let it go

  22. For future white knight spergs: I have had to kick a grand total of four (4) people from groups since week 1 of May of 2019 for using hurricane/shift/black hole for refusal to give up. Mind your spergism
  23. I have been playing Live CoH since before The Hallows and never fucking once has this ever come up. Even in the pre-IO days(issue 9?) there has been one ballsy tank with or without Fortitude gathering entire maps up meanwhile a /dev blaster is setting up. In fact, because most things can out range Hurricane even with the -range debuff I am going to call you out for mis-remembering shit just to make shit up because there is no way to prove or disprove that said situation really happened. Hurricane has and always will be shit. Unless they turn it into a Draw-in effect.

If you are solo, i dont care what you are doing. but be mindful that AVs resist debuffs hardcore when those purple triangles are up. that hurricane you are griefing with is a -3%~ tohit debuff with [Purple Triangles of Doom] You can say its a good power all you want, but that does not make it true.
  25. the rest of your post was irrelevant because Hurricane is griefing. as well as black hole and dimension shift. no logical times no rational times no adult times has these powers ever had a practical use. much like that one family guy episode from 15 years ago where Peter was making that sound by rubbing his hand on the plastic furniture saying it is easier on him because he is the one making the noise there are 7 others in the group wondering when the fuck you will grow up and that one hero of the group/decade who is willing to remove you for griefing a group who are also just trying to get through the day.
