You are correct. "Overview A Trial Zone or Hazard Zone is a section of Paragon City or the Rogue Isles that has been isolated for safety reasons. Enemy groups tend to be much larger in number and closer together in these zones. Many of these zones contain Task Forces, Strike Forces, or Trials. There is no practical difference between a Hazard or Trial Zone. Some Hazard Zones contain Trials; some Trial Zones don't." - https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Trial_Zone "Hazard/Trial Zone Entry ... With Issue 16's release, hazard and trial zones no longer have a minimum level for entry. For example, a level 1 hero can enter the Shadow Shard, which was previously locked to level 40 or higher heroes." - https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Trial_Zone "Issue 16 was "Power Spectrum". Allowed players to choose the color/styles/animation paths for character power sets. This update also included more power set proliferation, added epic power pool choices, a new Sidekicking system, Levels 5–24 adjustments to increase XP/influence rewards by 20%, minor changes to the Mission Architect, and a replacement of the difficulty adjustment system. Released Sept 15, 2009" - per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Heroes

You can create and play AE missions as soon as you can get to an AE location in the game. The person that creates a mission picks the level of the content by writing that into the missions. if you are looking for non-farming AE content - look for the tags listed in this link https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Mission_Architect_Tags There are plenty of posts where people list their AE content like this one:

And only us to update it, if we feel like it needs updating, and we want to take the time to do it. Making an account on the wiki isn't hard. Fiddling with the html can be a bit tricky, but, if you are just correcting/updating stuff, you should be able to say inside of the html and replace/update what needs to be fixed. you know, if we have the time, and we want to take the time to fix it.

I tend to go with martial arts with Dual Pistols, but I do have a DP/ninja blaster that I've had some fun playing. With Chiba, I could see it going AR/MA or AR/Ninja. I think I only have a AR/devices at this point. (Seems I'm thinking more about making another AR this week at any rate, so I might end up making an AR/? Soontm) When I take AR, I always end up getting some kind of stealth (Field Operative for devices) and that is built in with ninja (Shinobi), so I might go that route. That AR/Devices was based on the Punisher. I don't know if I can really equate devices with the Punisher, but it seems to fit more than the other secondaries available at this point. I think Street Justice would be the way to go, but that isn't a blaster secondary yet. Looks like this one might be a character conception based on build vs build based on character conception, but Golgo 13 here looks like a starting point.

This isn't a PM or some kind of private chat. You posted here so you are going to get responses. You don't want a discussion? You just want to get feedback about how great your idea is and a bunch of yes-people? I held off posting because you have a low post count and your post is obviously intentionally inflammatory. It is aimed at getting response against the idea and not the other way around. It's a sore point - but one that must be brought up when we talk about the agro cap - is the impact it will have on Farming. Farmers would love an agro cap increase. The DEVS reduce the Agro Cap. It appears obvious they would be against raising it. I'm against raising it as well. There are tons of ways to make the game more difficult, but people that complain about the difficulty seem to only be focused on one side of that equation the relies on the DEVs to change things for everyone instead of the side of things that they can control. Anyone can make the game harder themselves but not slotting IO sets and not slotting IOs. They can also not build the most mini-maxed cookie-cutter build. They can also not cherry-pick the easiest enemies to fight. They can even actually play the game with PUGs instead of power-leveling to 50 and only playing the end-game. heck, they can even turn xp off at level 20 and run level 50 content. They can even run level 20 content on +4/x8 and solo it. Make a new character and play a set that you think is gimped. I don't know what server you are playing on, but this obviously isn't true. Out of my 150+ characters only 17 are tanks. I rarely play tanks these days. Even if the implication is that "every archetype is a tank", I don't believe that to be true even at level 50. Maybe it becomes that way when you unlock all the incarnates and totally mini-max your builds, but, at that point, you are essentially playing on god-mode. Isn't that want an Incarnate is? "Incarnate is a special origin originally not available to players, although heroes and villains who gain the attention of the Well of the Furies may gain Incarnate powers. Incarnates are humans who have been exposed to the Well of the Furies in some way, empowering them with the powers of the gods themselves. As such, they are substantially more powerful than most other superbeings." - https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Incarnate I play Controllers, Corruptors, and Defenders most of the time in the sg that I'm in, and I have plenty of fun playing those ATs. Maybe you should play one instead of thinking that other people should. Your focus really seems to be on what other players need to do in order to improve your game experience. I'll also add that tanks and brutes aren't needed on teams. I hate being in a group that has to chase a tank (especially one that doesn't have taunt) that doesn't care about what their teammates are doing. I don't enjoy playing on steam-roller teams. I don't enjoy when one player comes in (usually a level 50) and runs amok (happens far too often in non-end game teams). I used to call them by their tactic - "Bull in a china shop". They just smash everything and expect everyone else to pick up the pieces behind them. I too find it much more enjoyable when a team works together to let the senergy do the work instead of brute forcing things. Where can you find this? You'll find it in the game (vs the end-game) if you play the content without level 50's on the team. Sure, some tanks and brutes are still going to think that they are always the main character on the team, but the team doesn't have to agree to that. The team doesn't even have to have any brute or tanks on it to be successful. I do think it would be better taste to advertise for a non-level 50, non-tank/brute characters at your level vs kicking them when they join. You should feel free to express your feelings/logic on things, but, when you do, you should expect people to respond. As I indicated earlier, the response seems to be the reason for your post in the first place. You start with a preconception of how people will respond and close telling people that disagree with you not to respond.

When I did my last NVidia update a couple of days ago, it wigged out and shut down the game overlay. I had to reinstall the driver to get the overlay to work. If I remember correctly, go to the update page in the GeForce Experience. The top box below the line where it says your driver is up-to-date. Go to the little three dots and click on that and I think there is a reinstall option there. I know it's somewhere on that page. I think there is where it is.

Do IOs unbalance the game? (Spoiler: by themselves, they do not)
UltraAlt replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
@FFFF feel free to play the game any way that you like. If you feel that IO availability has broken the system because they are too available, simply don't purchase and slot the ones that you feel are OP. Can you make other players do that? No. They are playing the game the way they want to play within the boundaries that the DEVs have set-up around us. -

Rock Description You got a rock. How to Get The rock was a treat that was given out during the Halloween Event. It is a ranged attack that does a small amount of smashing damage. Power Summary Duration 1 use Damage Smashing Effects Ranged Smashing Damage Notes Unlike many temporary powers, it is possible to get more than one rock at a time. They show up separately in a character's temporary powers list, instead of increasing the charges of the first rock. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Rock

Supergroups, Global Friends, and You
UltraAlt replied to Dona Eis Requiem's topic in General Discussion
Honestly, I do both, but the sg that I'm in with other people that I actively play with is just a couple of friends that I played RPGs with in the real world. I have more than one sg group/base on three of the shards/servers and one sg on the other two. I do a lot of PUGing. I do more PUGing then I do SG teaming most weeks. Yes. Sometimes. In generally, I rarely end up teaming up with people on my friends list. Sometimes due to when other people are on. Sometimes just randomly on PUGs. If you are talking about Everlasting, it is one of the more populated servers. And, though there are people on the server that do RP, most of the people on the server don't seem to RP as far as I can tell, but, then again, I'm PUGing pretty much 100% of the time that I'm on Everlasting. If your character(s) being on the RPG server/Everlasting is really the issue, you can easily move characters from one server to another, but there may be an issue with your character's name being taken on another server. I guess I pretty much already posted it, but to review. I run the streets with some friends that I have gamed with in RPGs out in the real world in the past as an SG. I almost always end up with the star. I do more PUGing then SG'ing. Sometimes I lead, sometimes I join. I use the friends options. I mainly use it to round up the people that I have known for years. The other people on the list are people I know that are cool to game with, but most of them have moved into just playing level 50's it seems, and I don't play the end-game, so.... -
To me, both of these are bad manners. Multi-boxing is bad enough if you have a team with just you and your alt accounts. I'm not sure how Leagues feel about multi-boxers. AFK game play - without everyone else involved in the the game play agreeing that your being AFK is acceptable - is very distasteful. When it comes down to it, I find it to be unethical. I'm not sure why someone would want to do this. I really don't have a problem with it unless you are somehow milking off other players game play. There are plenty of other places a solo ToT'r could go and have plenty of doors to knock in rotation. ToTing Event is a celebration. People can play how they want to play, but, in the spirit of celebrating, I would think that if you have room on your team you should invite anyone that is looking for a team. That being said, in most cases, there is going to be a League or two running, and they will generally have room and will invite anyone looking to League-up for ToTing. It's good manners to clean your plate. Most of the ToTing that's run into over the last couple of years has been in Peregrine Island. I think you can pretty much go to any other zone and ToT without running into a quantity other players. There are plenty of other zones with the Motel-layout building, but you don't even have to have one of those if you are a single player or a single player dragging around alt accounts/Multi-boxing. If you can get to an area with 4 or 5 doors near each other, you can probably click on a door, fight, defeat, and repeat on those 4-5 doors in sequence and not have to wait for them to "recharge". There are areas like this in all zones. I would guess some of the far end industrial areas (north or south on the western side of the map) of IP will be pretty empty and far enough out of the way that few characters would be traveling in the area.

That reminds me more of a controller power set. No commands for those Controller pets! They just keep doing what they do until you dismiss them.

Looking kind of thorny yourself there, Talosis. Good luck in your battles against your nemesis!

Are you skipping over the game and going directly to the end-game by being power-leveled to level 50? I'm not an end-gamer. I'm an alt-jumper. I'm fine with my regen characters. The different power sets play differently. If you only want to play one way, then you are limiting the power combinations that you will enjoy playing. If your mindset how sets should play is limited, then so will be your picks for power sets if you want to stay within those limits. If you play a powerset by leveling up, you learn how new power combinations/archetypes work. If you take time to figure out how to use the powers and tactics that work for those power sets, then any power combination can work especially as part of a team. But you have to go with what the power sets/archetype give you instead of trying to force the power set/archetype to perform based on a preconceived notion of how it should behave. Sure there is less defense and resistance in Regeneration. REGENERATION is about the +Regen and +Recovery. It outperforms the other sets in +Regen and +Recovery. I have no idea how it performs in the end-game, and I really don't a care. It works fine during leveling. I can't say it is my go-to pick because I don't have a go-to pick. I create characters based on character conception. I don't bother with mini-maxing. I playing the game to have fun and not to "beat" the game or be "uber" in some way. Playing different characters based on their character conception and learning/knowing/employing each character's strengths and weaknesses is what keeps the game interesting to me. That is to say, what keeps me playing is the differences between characters and not the similarities in the characters that I play.
