Faultline exploration badges missing?
Apparition replied to Evangeline Blue's topic in General Discussion
They were moved to the Echo: Faultline. It sounds like you're using an old Vidiot Maps. Be sure to use the new update.- 1 reply

@Doc_Scorpion, I checked my log and I definitely received XP during the mothership raid trial last night. So it sounds like a bug.
-
Hrm. I think I recall dinging a veteran level, but I will look over my log from last night in a few hours to check.
-
Yep. Prior to ED, my SG had over 25 people in it. After ED, it had three, including myself. One eventually came back a few years later for a couple of months before drifting away again. The rest never came back. I'm not talking about myself, I'm talking about others. 🙂 I'm talking about tab-target instead of action combat. Many think that tab-target combat is "dated," and won't bother trying a MMOG that doesn't have action combat.

The population definitely feels down, for a variety of reasons. The original rush from late April through the end of June or so is gone. Most of the people that never played CoH before and came to check it out have moved on. About half of my SG stopped playing in August, and now play Borderlands 3 and/or World of Warcraft Classic instead. In addition, it's been much more difficult the past couple of weeks to find people for the non-Halloween content, because... well... it's Halloween. In the end, City of Heroes is a fifteen year-old video game. As much as I think it is currently the best MMOG available, most people can't get past the dated graphics and gameplay, and will opt for the new shiny instead. It is what it is, but CoH will always have its core base.

Certainly! All you need is a level 35+ character with the Member of Vanguard badge. We meet up in Pocket D, and I normally start forming the league about fifteen minutes ahead of time. You are more than welcome.

Just a reminder that this is tomorrow night, y'all! In Pocket D!

From what I recall prior to shutdown, Seed of Hamidon was essentially meant to be "Baby's first Hamidon raid." It was meant to give level 20 to 29 characters a taste of raid mechanics in Hamidon raids and Incarnate trials.

Re-enable lvl 35 level req in the Rikti War Zone
Apparition replied to Sister Corruption's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
That is bad, yes. However, considering that's the one and only instance I've heard of that happening with my leading four with no disconnections, it sounds like it was a fluke. Something happening once doesn't make a trend. Granted, it should definitely be looked into. -
You realize that the Dr. Quaterfield TF is the weekly.

I took the Hasten power on a character, and immediately went to the tailor to change Hasten to minimal FX. However, I noticed a weird (albeit very, very minor), issue in the costume display window. If I am on my second or third costume, the cape on my first costume in the costume window displays oddly. If I am on my first costume, the cape on my first costume in the costume window displays correctly. Correct costume window while using my character's first costume: Incorrect costume window while using my character's second costume:

League Members Arranged by Level
Apparition replied to EyeLuvBooks's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This is already fixed in the Rikti mothership raid trial. Everyone that loads in is automatically SKed up to combat level 50, so it doesn't matter what level the team leader is. -
Re-enable lvl 35 level req in the Rikti War Zone
Apparition replied to Sister Corruption's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes, I am aware. However, the zone MSR has issues as well, and IMO those issues outweigh the trial's issues by a hefty amount. -
City of Heroes is old school. Cut scenes were not added until a few years after the game launched, and never included voiced dialogue.

Re-enable lvl 35 level req in the Rikti War Zone
Apparition replied to Sister Corruption's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It is a stopgap solution, but it is one that works very well. Because it only loads a portion of the RWZ, performance during the raid is much better. I have yet to experience any lag or raiders disconnect. In addition, it makes running multiple MSRs much more stable by freeing up your computer's RAM by loading into a zone when the raid ends. The trial raid also boosts everyone to combat level 50 so you don't have to worry about every team having a level 50 leader. I honestly can not understand why more people haven't used the LFG trial yet, other than inertia. -
The two biggest issues I have seen against the instanced trial are LFG issues and having greater difficulty getting people. I haven't experienced any LFG issues in the four trial raids I have ran thus far, but I do know that the LFG system is buggy and it should be looked into. In regards to the higher difficulty getting people... I submit that the Halloween event went live last week. It has been more difficult finding people for anything outside of the Halloween event. Try it in a few weeks and see if you still have difficulty getting a league together.

Unfortunately, Leandro said that the LFG "Join in progress" is broken and never worked, even before sunset.
-
FWIW, I lead an instanced Rikti mothership raid trial Saturday, and that time it did tell me one person didn't have the badge, and identified the person. How someone level 50+3 wouldn't have the Member of Vanguard badge is beyond me, but I digress. I didn't see the notification Thursday night. I don't know if it didn't display or somehow I missed it. You can join an instanced MSR in progress by having the raid leader invite the person.

Focused Feedback: Rikti Mothership Raid
Apparition replied to Leandro's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Priests missing from Rikti mothership raids prior to the October 1st patch was a bug. They should have been in from the get-go, and were back prior to sunset. They should have been added to the regular zone mothership raids as well with the October 1st patch. If not, that's a bug. -
Re-enable lvl 35 level req in the Rikti War Zone
Apparition replied to Sister Corruption's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I fully 110% agree with you on this and have been arguing exactly this since the launch of Issue 16, but you're just stirring up a hornet's nest. The Rikti mothership raid can now be locked to level 35+ via the trial. Good enough. -
That would only lead to very bad things.
-
Very strange and sorry to hear that. It's been working just fine for me on Excelsior, so the Trial does work at least sometimes. I've done two MSR runs in Pocket D over the past week with no issues other than one person not having the Member of Vanguard badge. No disconnections and no lag. It was actually much more smooth than the zone MSR. I will continue to exclusively use the trial when leading, but I hope the issues y'all on Everlasting are experiencing get looked into.
-
I know of at least three on Excelsior, including myself. I also hear of a fourth. That said, the more the merrier.

There are two* Rikti Ships outside Pocket D
Apparition replied to Glacier Peak's topic in General Discussion
It's on Excelsior server as well. Go to the window right next to the SG base portal. You'll see the hovering mothership at a distance. Now look down, and you'll see the second mothership which is much closer. -

I bet that it's because people are forming up Rikti mothership raid trials in Pocket D now. Hilarious.
