Yes, in both Mercy Island and Grandville.

I do now see why many power gamers now say that Brutes are good for solo play, but useless on teams. If I form a PUG team on my Brute, I usually get a Tanker. If that Tanker player isn't lazy, then that Tanker will always get aggro, superseding my own even if I use Taunt. There's no such thing as an offtank in City of Heroes. That essentially leaves my Brute as a wannabe poor man's Scrapper, unless I start going off one or two mob groups ahead and try to solo that until the group catches up with me. I feel like I never get to use my Brute effectively on teams unless there are no Tankers on the team, which is extremely rare on a PUG team.

I've been forming instanced MSRs on the Excelsior shard utilizing the method in the first post for the past three months and I have to say it's been a huge success. Prior, we'd usually struggle to get three full teams. Now, we always get four full teams, occasionally five. Our average count of Vanguard merits has also increased from about 1,100 per raid to about 1,400 per raid. Once, I even received about 1,850.

Incarnate squishies, do you autofire Clarion or Hasten?
Apparition replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
Even if you have 130% defense to everything, there will still always be a five percent chance of getting hit. That's why IMO Clarion is better than Barrier for mez protection. It's the only guaranteed way to prevent and/or break out of it as far as Destinies are concerned. It's also useful in BAF Trial because prisoners can (and do) confuse, and in the Minds of Mayhem Trial because you can get confused there as well. -
Rare salvage only goes below 400k during December through January of every year, then creeps back up to around 450k to 500k. And there is a price cap on rare salvage. It is one million INF.

The problem is that Blasters and Corruptors are survivable enough, and also have mez protection from a variety of sources (Defense Amplifier, Clarion Destiny, Break Free inspirations, etc.). Lady Grey TF and most Incarnate content requires ranged damage. You're not going to get into melee much and survive during an Apex TF or MoM Trial for instance. For the things that require melee damage (Lady Grey TF and Hamidon raids), Blasters can do that too. Nah. Electric Armor has a toxic damage hole, and that's fine. Energy Aura has holes to psionic damage and toxic damage, and that's fine. It's more that from everything I've seen and experienced over the past nearly two years of playing on Homecoming, there's no real point to playing melee. Blasters and Corruptors are just plain better. They're more than survivable enough, and don't have the considerable shortcomings melee has, especially in endgame content.

That's because Mids' 3.0 for some reason sometimes re-enables procs even with being saved with the procs disabled. Turn off the yellow light in Eye of the Storm.
-
It depends on the build. In this case it's not wasted as it still lowers the recharge of Hasten by about three seconds, bringing it closer to perma without a Force Feedback proc firing off.
-
Inspirations, procs, teams, Rebirth Destiny, or a combination of all of the above.

Ice/Cold Corruptor or Controller vs Cold/Ice Defender

Corruptor. One word: Scourge. -
Incarnate squishies, do you autofire Clarion or Hasten?
Apparition replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
IMO, if you are going to regularly go to MSRs and/or Incarnate trials, you should take Clarion Destiny. If you regularly go to Hamidon raids, you should take Rebirth Radial Destiny. Every character of mine (again, with the exception of the farmers), has at minimum two tier four Destiny powers, some as many as four. -
Incarnate squishies, do you autofire Clarion or Hasten?
Apparition replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
No, no you cannot. I have lead instanced MSRs where I was the only one with AoE mez protection. At one point, I was overwhelmed by Rikti Magi and slept. As soon as I was, it was a cascading failure where everyone else was mezzed and there was a league wipe. It is that kind of thinking that leads to no one having it and then you get a league wipe. -
Recharge isn’t only about the attacks, it is also to make sure that Energize is up as much as possible. I try to keep that permanent. The toxic damage is coming from Degenerative Core Interface, which has a 25% chance of toxic damage on all attacks, including Lightning Field. Thanks for the build. I will take a look at it tonight.

Incarnate squishies, do you autofire Clarion or Hasten?
Apparition replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
Clarion Destiny actually is needed for Rikti mothership raids and most Incarnate trials. Since I regularly lead MSRs on the Excelsior shard, I take the Clarion Core Destiny on every single character other than my farmers, even my melee ones. Since I have to take it on every character anyway, my "squishies" build around it. -
@Captain Powerhouse That's how.

issue 27 Patch Notes for February 9th, 2021
Apparition replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
I go with Longbow Lore pets for three words: Big. Red. Mech. The -regen is just a bonus. -
You’re misremembering. We have the same number of enhancement slots as we did ten years ago.

Travel times are embarrassingly short

Don’t forget Dr. Oven Mitts. -
That has been a long-standing bug with Dual Pistols since the power set was introduced.

Please, have more zombies and nemesis events
Apparition replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The Nemesis event is held two weeks out of the year, once in April and again in July. Zombie invasions can be spawned by running the Katie Hannon TF or Virgil Tarikoss SF. -
That doesn't work for Incarnate trials.
-
110% agreed. That's the concept a lot of folks just do not get. No one is needed on a team. Absolutely no one. That's part of the beauty of City of Heroes! To change that is to change City of Heroes to become more Holy Trinity oriented. No thank you.
-
It’s through a hosted server like Roll20 and Astral.
-
Just a heads up that there is a Kickstarter campaign for a new virtual tabletop called Let's Role. It's an alternative to Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, Astral Tabletop, and Foundry Virtual Tabletop, and it looks pretty dang good IMO. You can read more about it here. Anyone who pledges to the second tier or above gets immediate access after the Kickstarter campaign ends in a month. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
