Focused Feedback: Travel Power Updates (Build 1)
Apparition replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
But what I'm saying is that it doesn't require stealth and two power picks. It only requires one power pick at level four, and then one enhancement at level twelve. No wiggle room involved. Just slot the IO enhancement in Sprint or Power Slide and call it a day. This is just simply removing the IO enhancement from the equation. Now whether or not that is a step too far is a judgment call. -

People with both Super Speed and a Stealth IO enhancement have full invisibility as well, and that has been possible for a long, long time, (years prior to sunset). So full invisibility on non-Stalker ATs has already been possible at level 12, IIRC (the earliest level that you can slot the Stealth IO enhancement) with one pool power pick and one IO enhancement. Having the same at level 4 with one pool power pick isn’t a large stretch, IMO. -
It's been stated by Captain Powerhouse that no more sets will get a "No Redraw" option as it's essentially a buggy hack, and instead all weapon sets will be converted to be like Katana.

Focused Feedback: Travel Power Updates (Build 1)
Apparition replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Yep. Tough and Weave are both 0.33, while Afterburner as is now is 0.65. Evasive Maneuvers is basically in between, and I'm fine with that. -

There hasn't been an accuracy penalty in a long, long, long time. Since well before sunset. -
From what I understand, they may eventually do a complete reboot and start over with a brand new server. But honestly, if their server security was that bad, not sure that I would bother spending time playing on it if they do.

Focused Feedback: Travel Power Updates (Build 1)
Apparition replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
If someone comes up with a feasible solution that works with the game's engine, that's great. I'm all for that. But, the current solution of having it disabled via Null the Gull is available and works in the meantime. Every time a new character of mine reaches level 5, I go to Pocket D, talk with Null the Gull, and have both Speed Boost and Group Fly disabled. Friends of mine do likewise. I see no reason at all why others cannot. When Page 2 launches, I will not have my fun reduced by others annoyed with Group Fly. I lead raids and plan to use Group Fly while leading said raids. I will make announcements prior that I intend to use Group Fly, and if people still don't have it disabled via Null the Gull, that's on them. -

Pool Powers / hasten / epics / thoughts
Apparition replied to Incursion's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
There are perma Dom builds without Hasten, FWIW. -
Yep. I do that a lot.

I plan to make a lot of use out of Evasive Maneuvers. You can use it for knockback resistance, which is great for Electric Armor. Endurance also isn't an issue for Electric Armor. -

You do realize that Fly on its own can get to the same speed as Afterburner before the change, right? The new Afterburner just gives an even bigger speed boost. -

You can already turn off Group Fly by talking with Null the Gull in Pocket D. -
Yeah, Dynamo now damages the NPC's self. @Captain Powerhouse

Bitter Freeze Ray Converted to a Snipe
Apparition replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I just find snipes (both slow and fast), too fiddly, much like Assassin's Strike, (which is why I don't play Stalkers). So I just avoid the ranged damage sets with snipes. The lack of snipes in the Brute epic power pools is also one reason why I prefer Brutes to Scrappers. -
Bitter Freeze Ray Converted to a Snipe
Apparition replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would. I strongly dislike snipes, and play Ice (and Dual Pistols and Water Blast) because they do not have snipes. Not every ranged damage set needs a snipe, nor should have one as snipes do not suit every play style. They certainly do not mine. -
Because of the way SG bases developed after sunset, base raids are a dead end and never coming back from what I understand. Also, your suggestion strongly encourages large supergroups (which I strongly dislike) and leaves small supergroups in the wind, and mandates PvP, (which I absolutely despise with a passion). It would result in me leaving the game so fast your head would spin.

I'm not one for proccing out, but agreed with @Shred Monkey . Blasters need all the help they can get from set bonuses for survival, so it's not worth it unless you are always running with both a Time Corruptor and a Sonic Defender or something to shore up your survival.

Summer Blockbuster - Small QOL change
Apparition replied to White Warlock's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
IIRC, the developers said back in 2019 that they would rather rewrite the turnstile from the ground up than fix it because its issues are hard to fix, but that would take a lot of work. Soooo... I don't expect it to be fixed for a long time, sadly. In the meantime: -
The player will receive the message that he or she is ineligible, which is correct. If the player was in the RWZ when the invite was sent out and later gets the badge, and then asks for another invite without leaving the RWZ, then yes, you will still receive the message that he or she is considering another offer. What I am saying is that that bug only impacts a whole team if you form teams from outside the instance before joining the instance. If you invite players to the instance individually, and then form teams from inside the instance, no team will be impacted, only one individual player.
-
It is annoying, but out of curiosity why are you forming teams outside of the instance in the first place? I just have everyone send me a tell for an invite, and then I invite them into the instance directly, from whatever zone they are in. Once people are inside the instance, then I start forming teams.
-
From what I understand, AE mission making and regular mission making are done entirely differently and wholly incompatible. Think Microsoft Excel.

Summer Blockbuster - Small QOL change
Apparition replied to White Warlock's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
That generally happens when you lock your team or league before queuing. Don't lock your team nor your league.
