  1. Hugs It occurs to me that since Task Forces rewards our efforts with very useful merits, it should also reward with prismatic salvage as part of the rewards for doing them. I would think, as a suggestion, that one/tenth round up, of the TF merit value be awarded as prismatic salvage. So a Synapse who nobody wants to really do for obvious reasons, awards 58 merits and thus 6 prismatic salvage, which now tends to make the TF quite a bit more appealing. This of course is above and beyond the 2 prismatic salvage you get when doing them as a weekly. Hugs Sue
  2. Hugs: In principle, I am against anything automatic be hit or kill or status effect, it should not be available to the players nor the mobs. Thus in principle, there should not be any need for such a power set. That said, maybe give the baddies a 25% accuracy boost instead of the auto-hit, so players at least have a chance to evade! and damage should be limited to extreme not a zillion points! so tankers for instance could survive it hugs Sue
  3. Hugs I believe the value of prismatics at the AH will dramatically drop over time, its like how full a new restaurant gets for the first few weeks, and after that they are not special. Lets agree that prismatics only use is to buy costumes, sure you do not need a slot, but all it is a permanent Halloween costume after all; its not like you can go to the tailor and uses components of the prismatic gained costume. So in the end, in a few months, the value of prismatics are going to reflect their lame utility. They will probably drop to 100,000 or even less influence, they are not as useful as yellow or orange salvage, and certainly can't hold a candle to emps needed to build those T4s, and merits if properly used can net a lot of influence while also being saved to by IOs for new characters. The only reason, I bother with them, is for the badges for my one badge collector alt and I can wait till they drop in price to buy, or as I do itrials and weeklies with my 40 alts, I can get the prismatics and never need to buy the prismatics anyway. Lastly, I am not that excited about a costume I can get free during Halloween. Hugs Sue
  4. HI: I think for the future releases, a Dedalus and Imperious Protector Badge and a Cimeroran Protector Accolade could be offered 1) You can do earn them in any setting, default or any star 2) To get the Dedalus Protector, Dedalus has to survive the entire mission until it is completed 3) To get the Imperious Protector, Imperious has to survive the entire mission until it is completed 4) To get the accolade, you must earn the two protector badges Hugs Sue
  5. Hugs I do like the many awesome changes in the game, it was really a step up, it brought the feel of challenge we had during live days! It is great when players, actually say "We better use group tactics, kite mobs, and what not if we are going to survive this" I do have a recommendation for the ITF difficulty levels with regards to Prismatic salvage, instead of making them a nothing or all deal, perhaps as you complete each stage of the arc you are awarded a number of prismatic salvage, for example at 4 star difficulty you get 20 prismatic salvage, so if my recommendation is used, each stage would award 5 prismatic salvage, this way if the arc fails because of any number of reasons, players do not leave totally empty handed. Also in the last arc with Romulus, it takes too long, its tedious, perhaps instead of having the shield nictus always re-spawning, limit them to a fix number per say three, like the traitor ambushes, once you get past the ambushes and shielders, you can finish the stage in a reasonable amount of time. This is more of a QoL, I been in several 4 star that after 3 hours folks just gave up, one time we already defeated Romulus 2 out of the 3 times, but real life seldom allows us to be playing the game without stop for over 3 hours and that is what I am asking for relief for. Hugs Sue
  6. Hugs I am by now at least Vet level 50 with all my alts, and did with 5 of them the Sister Valeria Arc, the completion of the arc does not grant prismatic salvage, it seems prismatic salvage drops by miracle as you defeat mobs. I did the arc at -1/8 and if it moved, it died. I got the arc badge, but no prismatic salvage. Not wasting my time with this awful arc, with a no map to use at the end of last mission... Sue
  7. Sweetie I gave up with keeping my pets alive, and anyway their damage is truly pointless, especially for high level content. I have totally redesigned my MMs for them to be the damage dealers, and appropriately IOd to maximize DPS and then use the pets in defensive mode to be a heat-point sink for me and nothing more, they are that useless. It is sad, that the MMs have been left behind in such a manner, it is even insulting that I can't put IOs in pet powers beyond pet IOs which are terrible... Hugs Sue
  8. I can't agree with you on this one... The reason is nurfing destiny impacts different arch types different, for example all the support without destiny clarion, go back to being victims instead of heroes; of course no respectable melee would ever need destiny clarion so this recommendation works just fine. And please do not give the line that support they can use break frees, if this was so practical, why give melee status protections? After all they can be using break frees too, right? Destiny Barrier is a much more useful abili9ty to once more prop the support types, who are very restricted in their opportunities to get resistances and defenses, nurfing this, would impact the support types far worse than a melee whose resistances and defenses are handed to them in a silver platter. I do agree with other suggestions, that if "you" want to go through the effort to form a group and tell prospective players that incarnate abilities will not be allowed, "in your" TF, that is fine by me, but don't expect me to come with any support alts to this TF, I may come with one of many melee types tough which are sincerely unaffected by the not having incarnate powers condition. Hugs Sue
  9. Hi: I done the Sister Valeria arc now 4 for times, and frankly have no interest in doing them again... The first time, I did not get the new contact, but got 1 prismatic salvage, the second I got the new contact, but no prismatic savage, the third I got the contact and during the 4th mission I got the prismatic salvage, the fourth I got the contact and no prismatic salvage. Frankly the only reason I would do Sister Valeria is for the 1 prismatic salvage drop, but since it appears to be a "salvage drop" of very rare availability, this is frankly a worthless mission to do, to much BS for a very very little chance to get paid. If I want merits and a chance for incarnate salvage, I just do Burden of the past. I would suggest, that changes to this no map at the end of the mission arc, rewards with 1 prismatic salvage upon completing the arc and not as maybe drop from salvage by defeating mobs Sue
  10. Wow thank you for the elaborate response :<) But I disagree with the portion of the why the TF locking code, being treated as a universal constant. I agree while inside the mission, you are locked down in level. But the oro lockdown prevents you from doing anything else, you are stuck with that mission and can't do anything else, and that is what I object to and find not needed. You should be able to go help a friend, do a TF proper, and when done, return to the arc and be exemplared down - no exploit or anything abusive, also if I invite a higher level character to enter my arc mission, they would be examplared down as it happens in any regular mission, so no loop-hole there either. This is why I suggested to make Oro more player friendly, and make oro be like any other mission in the game where you can invite friends along the way and have the gest of the game, which is have fun Sue
  11. I been reading studying the various replies, and my observations are such: 1) You can't do all the content as you level, that was true since the live days; so to make such a statement to do content as you level is not entirely true - you would have to pick and chose 2) I can be exemplared under anyone and do any mission in the game, thus the mechanics on how to handle your level demotion are already there 3) Since 2 is true, I tend to conclude that the TF restrictions all together are mainly arbitrary, and not quite without reason either 4) It seems to me, some of those reasons are the merits awarded at the end as the reason for such a limitation, though you could be examplared in a normal mission and get the merits 5) I can see a fear of exploiting the missions, normal or Oro where you invite folks at the last mission and they all get the merits, now that is a bad exploit. Perhaps a solution is a percent done of the arc flag, say you use a 75% rule, that means in order for you to get the merits you would have to have done 3 out of the 4 missions in an arc for instance and if you did less you still get your badge but no merits. This allowance is good when team members drop out a TF due to real life, which would allow for you to get a replacement, despite that the new player knowingly know will not get merits, but is helping several friends. Sue
  12. Mostly I would do them to get the badge, the merit gains are really not that consequential, if I want merits I just to a TINPEX or Hami, they are quick fun and gives lots of merits; so not much interested in some sort of exploit, Hugs Sue
  13. It certainly does not for me, it cost a very valuable IO slot with their beneficial benefits, to undo a game mechanic that is in many conditions perceived as a pest that is not of the player's making or choice. Sue
  14. Hi: I support the idea of an option, under Options/General .... Toggle KB to KD I think it was a poorly executed idea, while it was a good think for soloing blasters, it was the stupidest thing for melee folks, where there most powerful melee attack sent the mob away and thus saving its life, for the melee could not follow up, and by the time they get to their target, its already up, and because it is the computer, they get to attack first, talking about adding insult over injury. Then you have the PBAOE and range guys with knockback, terrible situation when working with groups, makes it nearly impossible for the tank to keep aggro for starters, and other PBAO or AOE folks who do not have KB are made useless because all the mobs are dispersed, very annoying. So I support this thread very much Sue
  15. Hi: There are often times for me, and would for others as well, that because we play at odd times due to work, family constraints, and what not, that we wind up having to use Oro missions for they are repeatable. The problem is they are treated like TFs and not missions, so while we are doing the Oro TF mission, a real TF group starts to form, well I am between a rock and a hard place; either I give up on joining the real TF or giving up all the work I did at the Oro arc; which frankly for a game that is supposed to be fun to the player, simply does not make sense or is acceptable. So why not just change the Oro missions, to be just that, missions and not TFs. So we can stop progression in the Oro arc, and do something real with other players? And if a friend logs in, and is looking to have some fun, why not let him join me? Why make Oro so unfriendly? As always, I appreciate insightful suggestions to this problem, over emotional; or the since I do not have that problem, thus there is no problem perspectives; or judgmental tutorials indicating that I should have not chosen to do an Oro arc... hugs Sue
  16. You think this is bad for melee? How about support types, who all they have, maybe, is some defense and even less resistances. I have never been a fan of the auto hit feature anywhere, it just goes against my grain of fair sportsmanship, same with auto kill, again its just arbitrary... Sue
  17. Hi: I do spend too much time at Icons designing the perfect outfit, only to have it totally obscured by the effects of defensive powers that have glows and what not or travel powers at time. I wish there was a choice at Icons to either let me choose a clear color, so they do not obscure my costume or a choice to not have any effects at all, but achieve the same effect. Obviously moving around or going into battle with my defensive powers down, so I am not obscured, would be a disastrous way to get around the obscuring. If you have any ideas on how to overcome the obscuring issue, please let me know below :<) Constructive and well described recommendations are always welcomed, for the provide me a real opportunity to learn :<) Hugs Sue
  18. I know there is a 5 minute timer, in between swapping incarnate abilities, would be nice to know, where in those 5 minutes I am. I would also like that if "I" am not fighting, despite that my team is fighting, I should be able to swap incarnate abilities as long as the 5 min timer from last use of the ability or combat that I took part has been met. Sue
  19. Hi: Could it be possible to have a "how long to go" reported when you attempt to swap incarnate abilities in the message "incarnate ability "name" has not been equipped because the cool down on equipping/un-equipping Incarnate abilities in that slot has not yet expired" While at it, if possible, when trying to equip an incarnate ability while inside a TF with a team, please do not have the actions of team members mess with the cool down timer, so one can swap while within TFs, granted there may be some inactivity in part of the alt V/R Sue
  20. Hi: I been developing a "Trainer" mission in AE for guild mates to train with and develop group tactics. Unfortunately, I can't give my mobs "Taunt" which is a key event to practice against. Can we add Taunt to the mobs power sets, please? Sue
  21. From what I can tell, the changes are going to be amazing, can't wait for the next patch! I do have a suggestion, when we get stuck fighting infinity mobs, I disagree with them not yielding nay experience, influence and salvage, because they can and do kill you! Instead of making a change to not reward the fight, simply stop making them infinity, say limit them to 16 mobs and its done, so there are no farming of them. I do have a question: During the previous patch, it was mentioned that if you did AE missions that were not Dev's Choice, you would suffer a 25% penalty to experience. Is that not going to happen now? There was nothing said about this in the present patch notes. Hugs Sue
  22. You have a partial point, but its all in the eye of the beholder, a lot has to do with the ole melee vs support designing practices, in general most support types buys this pool for the resistance and defense this pool provide, all other powers are practically unimportant. So from the support side, it makes sense in the case of the fighting pool to avoid kick or boxing, from the melee side, when you get to those that provides AOEs, and ranged attacks, melee types could skip the meaningless chaff powers and get what they need. It is not quite power creep, it is not having to buy trash that is indeed valuable to some arch types and pointless to others. It would be interesting if someone would define what actually or more accurate when power creep occurs, different people, like ice cream flavors, will have diverse opinions Sue
