  1. To be fair, I always tell players to take heals and rez over leadership pool.
  2. The Tolkien estate isn't going to be happy now his works are heading for public domain. In 20 years it will be in the public domain in every country except the US. They better milk that series hard as soon they won't be able to sue anyone.
  3. I was under the impression it auto ended on the 1st. It might be the scripts for the zones end but the event has to be turned off manually. It's a bit confusing as some things stop and others don't.
  4. The first rule of NDA is you never mention the NDA 😛
  5. The event ended last night, so you were probably just that few minutes too late
  6. Probably for the best. No policy against it, but if someone wants to remain quiet and under the radar then that's their right. And yeah, we lock threads that get out of hand. Sometimes the anonymity of the internet can be a curse as well as a blessing. As my mother always said when I was a child, "just because you can say something doesn't mean you should" 😛
  7. As far as I'm aware there are no live devs about. There certainly aren't any involved on the HC team in any capacity. There may be one or two with player accounts, but we'll never know. A lot of them are still covered by their NDA they signed originally and I know a few of them have gone on to work for other studios and other projects. I vaguely remember ages ago when one of the original devs was asked if they knew about us they seemed not to know as their reaction was along the lines of "Really? That's nice" and they changed the topic.
  8. I work security and do night shifts and day shifts so my play time is all over the place. I'm lucky, my job is such that I have a lot of downtime so can play when I am at work. I have alts on Excel for those tines I want a team or Hami or MSR and I have alts on Reunion for those times I just want a bit of peace and quiet and solo play. I'll have a day off and log onto Excel at 9am my time and find it's 4am EST and still have people running Tinpex. That's the joy of being international, dead on Excel? Reunion is probably humming. Dead on Reunion? Check the live numbers on discord and see where the cool kids are hanging out.
  9. Because I like to annoy the undead
  10. I get why people ask "why don't you?" sometimes, and the simple answer is because it would be an absolute pain to do and wouldn't really solve anything. With the shards we have we have flexibility when casual players return for events or new updates and the load is spread out. Merging shards would just increase the load on the remaining shards and restrict any increase in the player base.
  11. Yeah, I think Number Six explained why it's not happening from an admin point of view, and from a GM point of view it would be a nightmare as so many players would lose names, globals, SG's, bases they have spent years working on etc. I'd never see the end of the tickets about it. As for new channels, we have plenty that cover most things, and players can make their own if they wish. We added the global channel as people tended to use the LFG channel to talk about everything and nothing so it made sense to have an off topic channel. It works well, though it does seem to make people think they can be spicy if a help or LFG conversation dares stray off topic for any reason 😛
  12. I have no idea of the figures except what everyone else sees, but as a player I see events with full leagues on the busier servers, MSR and Hami leagues full, TF's filling quickly and plenty of teams and farming going on. There is the general drop off of players that every game gets, but we do seem to be reasonably stable. As someone else said, there is a new page on the horizon and that always drums up interest, and the event runners don't seem to have much trouble filling their regularly scheduled events so the numbers are still there.
  13. Just remember not to use the name, bio or costume when creating a character. It's sad for us when we see a well recreated character and have to generic it
  14. It's not powerful enough to be a T8 I agree, but my flytrap has killed me several times. "No Fluffy, not that mob!!!!"
  15. Wait until April and the mapserver event. So much fun, so many alts, So much inf needed to slot them afterwards......
  16. While I understand the OP was typing in frustration and not coming across at their best, please keep this thread civil and try to be a little less judgmental. A lot of games are designed to be a grind to level 50 and the fun stuff start at level cap, where this game isn't. We have the fun stuff in the level 20+ range. A lot of the newer content is from 20 to 40. I understand OP's frustration, I always tell new and returning players not to take the double XP boost initially. Avoid farms, even avoid DFB in the beginning. Learn what you are doing and get used to the system first. Then think about short cuts to levelling.
  17. The auction house is the place to make inf. You get more inf selling an orange salvage than you do from level 1 to 20 at normal rates. An orange salvage will fetch roughly 500k inf each. Yellow salvage is fetching around 15k-20k. White salvage is best sold at a vendor. Recipes purples will fetch around 8 million inf, then orange and yellow are variable. It's bestto check each one individually to see if they are selling for more inf than a vendor will buy them for or vice versa. Merits can be exchanged for special salvage. Enhancement converters are always a good choice, boosters are getting a good price. I've done an experiment of only getting inf from 1 to 50 at single XP and it's not nearly enough to get your sets and procs. It's still a lot better than live though. You can fully enhance your character for 500 million, where on live you were paying a billon per enhancement. Were you farm sitting to get to level 50 so fast on 5 alts? Drop rates are halved in farms and if you aren't maximising your drops on the auction house you are going to be missing out on a lot of inf.
  18. That's one of the reasons for extensive reshoots early into the test screening process. 100% of the audience was against that story choice. Yet do it right and you have a John Wick situation where was the motivating factor in a movie that was expected to be a throwaway action film and turned it into the franchise it's become. I've not actually seen the John Wick movies, but a guy at work is obsessed and friends say they are really good. I'd have been onboard with an "Aquaman goes nuclear" movie.
  19. True. But it's something else that does damage and stun I don't have to herd around
  20. Efficiency Expert Pither is not on Ouroboros, so it's a fail once tough noogies situation. It was changed so you could get it doing someone elses arc though.
  21. I kind of avoided it after hearing about Then they did a reshoot after the audience ratings tanked. Then they did reshoots again. At this point (Like the Marvels) the damage they are causing by reshooting, re-editing, reshooting again, then throwing out a lacklustre film that has lost everything it had when the original script was written is immense. Streaming doesn't help, a lot of families are looking and refusing to spend 100 quid or more on a night at the cinema with the price of tickets and snacks and just paying for the particular service to watch it a month or two after it's release. You do get the movies where people are willing to pay, and go see it again after a couple of weeks, but they are getting really rare.
  22. Good arc to run again though. You get to the point Mot is super easy, barely an inconvenience.
