I play MM's a lot and they are my favourite AT. My pet peeve is during Tinpex and you are on the last mission with bobcat and Neuron and your pets won't arrive so you dismiss them and they won't spawn. The workaround is to dismiss them before you enter, but if you forget you, are a petless mastermind with sub par attacks until the game decides to grudgingly allow your pets to appear. Even team TP or individual TP won't work. Apart from that, I see some valid points and some not so valid points. I've personally never been refused a team or been on a team where the MM appears and the leader kicks them for being a MM. That's just rude. A well slotted MM is a thing of beauty. You don't know if the tanker or blaster is half as well slotted. MM's can send their pets in and run away, very fast. The other day I was the only survivor on a team wipe and I legged it while my pets fought to team TP and regroup. If you don't mind the pets dying it's a perfectly sensible strategy to send them in and take the alpha strike before the rest of the team takes over.

Not yet. People are just discussing the etiquette involved. Should be live first or second week in October. It depends on when Cipher and the other yellow admins decide to flick the switch

Most of the things you ask are fine, but a lot of players specifically roll new characters to take advantage of the extra XP and the protection of large leagues. As GM's the only things we frown on are AFK masterminds leeching the rewards, and bad manners. As for location, just remember there are plenty of places to ToT. A league doesn't cause too much lag or problems, but 2 or more leagues can cause so much lag the rewards are severely reduced. If the lag is terrible consider moving your league to another location in the zone.

Go into settings and click verify then reset graphics on next run

I don't find teleport clunky to use. I bind it on a key then just hit key, click mouse. I can bop across IP really fast. As for fold space, it's situational. I have the warshade version and got shouted at by the tank for using it. For context warshades work better the more enemies they have surrounding them. When he realised it was me he forgave me as I was outperforming every other character in the team and steam rolling over the top of all the mobs, but I still went ahead of the team so I didn't disturb his nice mob collecting. And best AT and power set is the one you enjoy playing. AR and some mastermind sets have had upgrades and work a lot better than before. I'm personally not fan of the new power sets but there's nothing wrong with them, just not my beverage of choice. Mercs in particular got some love and are pretty great now.

Catalysts turn levelled set enhancements into attuned set enhancements. As a general rule buying set enhancements attuned is the best way forward. Purple and PvP enhancements can use boosters to go to +5, as can normal level 50 IO's. Catalysts will also turn normal archetype set enhancements and winter sets into the superior version when you hit level 50. I have no idea what happens if you bought them unattuned though. I buy everything attuned, even purples and pvp because <pretty!!>

I'm not a fan of mids, but the latest updates seem to work really well. I mostly use it to look at other peoples builds or save my own build when I'm doing a respec so I don't miss something important. I can't use it to create a build from scratch though. /savebuild or /buildsave (can never remember which way round it is) will make a readable build, plus it's compatible with mids and you can load it in then save it as a mids file

Best way to help lower-level players in-game?
GM Crumpet replied to biostem's topic in General Discussion
True, most people who are doing low level content are doing it solo so they don't outlevel the content and end up trying to run +4 and still have everything green or grey -
Best way to help lower-level players in-game?
GM Crumpet replied to biostem's topic in General Discussion
If I see a new player asking all the usual questions a newbie does I'll mail them 10 million inf and tell them to pay it forward when they can. At this point it's pocket change for me, but seriously game enhancing for a newbie. -
It might have been GM Bot if you said a really naughty word. You might even have hit the post limit where GM Bot thinks you are spamming and have been silenced for 2 minutes. Without more information for context it's hard to tell. If it was a GM we generally chat ban for longer than 2 minutes though, and we usually give multiple warnings beforehand. Plus we log all actions we take against players and I don't see anything in the GM logs.

Can you post it as a mids build?

I'd maybe lose Photon seekers (which aren't as good as I expected) and swap it for something else personally. Slotting-wise I'm not an expert I'm afraid, but if there is a purple set available then I will always pick that over an orange or yellow. Purple Winter sets will help with temperature based attacks, and most attacks have a purple option which will usually give better set bonuses. Plus they can be boosted. Everything else I will get attuned. Not cheap though 🙂 But looking at it again your resistances are mostly above the cap, defences are adequate and it's a very survivable build.

It looks like the spammers are getting more clever. If anyone sees posts advertising anything for sale such as Reddit accounts, software, bitcoins or anything sketchy please report that post so we can look into it . We rely on the users of the forum to report these things as we can't be everywhere and often miss stuff for ages. It might look like a normal post, or it might read weird as if it's written by AI, but it will include a link to buy something at some point. As always, don't click links on posts unless you are really sure where the link is going, and absolutely do not give any information or download something if they ask. If in doubt, report it. We'll investigate and I'd rather ten reported posts that are fine and link to an art page than miss one post and have someones account compromised. Stay safe everyone, GM Crumpet

Basically. Cipher explained it as 2 different databases, the copy is taken from the live server but the forum is using a read-only database which might not be updated
-
Cipher says it reads off the read-only database for the forum, but the copy is taken from the live server so sometimes there will be a discrepancy depending on the update time of the read-only database

Heels vs Babyface certainly has opinions, and he does go off on a rant with this, but I watched the video originally and he looks like a man who's been slapped in the face with "Agendas" so many times he's had enough. I've not played the game, I don't have the time to devote to playing it enough to give it justice, but he certainly seemed to like it until it got to a weird bit with a female clone of a male NPC. I'm not quite sure why it set him off to the point he was so angry he had to make a video rant, but I suppose he just wants a game where his immersion isn't ruined by the California bubble sensibilities.

I generally buy attuned as I play, and at level 50 use catalysts to turn ATO's and winter sets into the superior versions. The disadvantage is you can't boost them, but the advantage is they work all the way down to their minimum level. Players who only play level 50+ content will often use boosters, but for the rest of us who like to do Ouroboros and lower level TF's it's more useful having them attuned. They all come from the same bucket on the auction house so there is no difference in price.

Most people have several emails they use, so check the ones you normally use for the email
-
yeah me looking in the wrong place, not you. I'm tired and ready for bed. It's hopefully sorted now
-
And I've sent a message via the forum. As long as you didn't use a burner email and still have access to the email you used to create the account you should be good to go
-
nope, still nothing in the database under that global name Edit. I'm an idiot..... Found it.... It helps if you look in the right place 🙂
-
The closest we can do is send a message to the forum account which generates an email, then you can use the forgot password function to log into the forum, after which going to account management will tell you the login name and you can change the password there as well. Unfortunately that global name doesn't exist.
